Little tip, if you find a villager you don’t want to move to your island just put out the campfire. This will disable you from finding their island again! I’ve been doing this for awhile and it’s worked so far!

My luck has been insane throughout animal crossing. When I first was starting out acnh. Bluebear was my first villager on a nmt island. And I really wanted her. And then Skye was the 2nd one and I also rlly wanted her. And then recently, It only took me 1 NMT to find Rosie. AND SHE WAS ON MONEY ROCK ISLAND. *what*

🌲I just wanted to let everyone know, that the amount the plot auto-fills, can vary. One time I had Daisy move out, I didn't villager hunt because I didn't have a lot of tickets, thinking the plot would auto-fill the next day. ( Keep in mind I don't time travel.) It didn't for around three days, and I got curious. I did some research and turns out the amount of days the plot is open to auto-fill, can, indeed, vary. I eventually got a ticket and invited Aurora! The most common days a plot is open is one. Just thought I would tell you! Thanks for reading this long paragraph! Have a good day! 🌲

This is the best video I have found on the topic! Thank you so much for making it! If I understood it correctly I can already start villager hunting for my 6th villager. Also the only villagers that you don't need a plot open for are the first three you invite to come to your island. Not sure if you can villager hunt for them as well though. I'd imagine you can, don't see why not.

Thank you!!!!! I’ve narrowed down my dreamie villagers to 10 for the perfect island and I really want Sally back (I had her in New Leaf) and she was my ultimate dreamie villager. I’ve been collecting the amiibo cards and I still need Sally. I’ve collected so many series 4 cards I literally only need 20 villagers and still no Sally. I’m also going to be looking for Rod and Gala. I’ll definitely use this guide to villager hunt for Sally, Rod and Gala.

Here’s a little tip if you don’t want to bring a vaulting pole or don’t have one. You can bring a wet suit and swim to the other side and if you shake trees while wearing one on a mystery island then you can run into the water and it’ll make the wasps leave you alone . That’s what I do when I villager hunt

Also if you bring vines you don’t have to worry about getting islands with villagers on a different level but you can still climb if you want to

Treasure islands can really help but you don’t have to pay for them all the tim eyes it will be quite crowded but on twitch you can just look it up

a gifted villager is a villager you or the person you got the villager from (assuming you buy villagers instead of hunting) has given gifts to so instead of having no items they might have clothes you or someone else has given them. On your hunts you will only have ungifted villagers which means they have no other items besides the default ones. You can only have a gifted villager if you or someone else has given them item(s).

Gifted villagers will wear clothing /display furniture the previous owner gave them, ungifted ones will just have default stuff

I went through the list of villagers picking out ones I'd be satisfied with... got a 5% of getting a good one, lol. The one I want most is Rudy, but with my luck hitting that 1-in-413 jackpot would take 100 years, so I'll settle with anyone from my "acceptable" list.

I once found a cute fox lady but i didnt have a vaulting pole to get across the water i was so sad i had to leave her there because I couldn't get her attention 😢😢😢😢😢😢 it was before I had the vaulting pole recipe too.

I’m actually villager hunting right now. Going for either Cherry or Reneigh. The duplicates you get while doing these is so bad 😂 I ran into Tipper twice in a row and ran into Rex like 4 times for example. It’s so annoying 😭. Also I did try resetting the cache, it didn’t work.

I heard that the villagers you run into will have different personalities than the majority that’s on your island. For example if I had mostly cute villagers it would be really hard for me to find a cute villager while I was hunting. Does anybody know if this is true or not? I really want maple but I have a lot of normal villagers already so I’m wondering if it’s worth it

also, idk if you know this yet but actually in my experience villager plots dont always autofill the day after. im unsure if its a weird glitch or something but thats just my experience. yesterday (i was moving out a lot of villagers that day) sydney moved out and i only had like 7 nmts, and didnt get any cute villagers or ones that fitted my theme so i was just gonna let the plot autofill and kept time travelling day by day and it still didnt fill after 4 days. BUT, on the 4th day a villager happened to be at my campsite, and boom it was molly!! Her and her home even fit the area her house was located in and my island theme so im very happy about that.

So i messed up. I found shino invited her and I thought i could make another plot and find another villager buy it seems like it’s waiting on shino to move in. Does that mean i cant save my plot ? Idk this is so confusing
