Please keep making guides like this. You have a vibe that earned my sub, alot of "PERFECT NO HIT1!!1!!!!!1!" channels are either silent gameplay or are insufferable, yapping is a welcome sight. I always planned on making "cinematic" boss fight recordings, and being able to break down movesets without having to bash my head against a wall is super helpful. Perhaps I could ask if you'd cover base game content after the DLC bosses, as I'm sure you'd have ideas and tricks for them too. Cheers man, and thanks again.
i was thinking this as well. first playthrough it was so fucking awesome and igon is the coolest npc ever. but i fought him again yesterday and it genuinely is so frustrating trying to hit him when he reels his head back so fast
I thought the opposite. The only tricky thing to dodge is the beam attack, but he uses it not so often and he can be halved in health if you knock him down. Imo the only guy that's easier to no-hit is Midra. But I know that controller players have much worse time with dragon fights in general.
@@hardboiledbug nope, I just dodge this stuff (sometimes I still get hit right after, sometimes I don't...I don't know how it works tbh). Deflecting such big bosses is very inconvenient... Deflecting human bosses is good.
@@Sargatas no i mean like the fire breath deflecting off the wall and coming back to hit you. it's entirely random and makes the fight very inconsistent
7:10 You can make his bite combos more consistent by dodging into him and getting close to his leg, it makes him stop doing the headbutt follow up. If he does the one where he starts with a wing attack and then bites, it guarantees that he'll do the downward fire breath I'm pretty sure. The roar also does have a telegraph.
Enjoyed the yap but love this boss what now? Imo on of the most cinematic fights in any game. Australia is tiny, I’m from Canberra and it feels like I know everyone
Honestly my least favorite. I know I should adapt and learn but getting to this guy having used the Anvil Hammer for the entire run felt wrong to have to change weapon. I eventually got it but my god the camera underneath him drove me nuts.
the scream does have a telegraph but it's something you just have to get used to. i thought it was completely untelegraphed but you can see him move his leg forward and he feels suspiciously idle which indiciates that he's going to scream which is your cue to create some distance.
I thought he was really good but the roar should not do damage, and the laser beams felt pretty impossible to avoid even tho i rolled away. still his design is so sick and i love the nuke with that eardrum blasting sound effect (unironically)
I found out the laser could be dodged by looking at the ground (that's where the fire actually hits you, so you'll be able to see when to dodge). For the second part of the attack, you just have to dodge the initial hit, then wait a bit to dodge the following explosion. Totally agree with the roar thing though. That shit should NOT do damage
No hit runs with commentary and guides are really interesting and kind of a lacking niche on youtube, this is fun to watch, your Radahn guide was really good too
Both types of vids are fine, the yapping and the no hit guides. Post whatever you want IMO, but that's just me. Also let's all try to reduce our usage of "genuinely" lol.
I like this fight but bouncing fire is annoying and the second phase to me is kinda struggle to see what is happening, also he can fly through the wall sometime mess up the lock on and make his attack hard to dodge. The shout attack is really quick that i just get hit everytime he use it lol, anyway great video tho keep up the great work.
This is actually really interesting. We often just see the results of a no hit but never the process. So more videos like this would be cool. Maybe more focused on the actual prosses then the yapping though.
