Appreciate this. I'm pretty excited for this update to finally hit Switch, though I'm also trying to hold my hopes in check based on the fact that 1. the release seems bugged even on other consoles, 2. HG is making a *ton* of graphical changes / improvements to the Switch version, and 3. HG doesn't have the best track record when it comes to their updates on Switch. But we'll see how things go when the update finally drops - and also how long it takes for the inevitable patches for this update to make their way to Switch as well so everything actually works as intended. Hey, at least we'll finally get capes!

I was playing on Switch yesterday and was doing the Autophage stuff for the first time. I also accidentally ran into my first crashed sentinel ship. While doing the quest for the brain for sentinel ships I accidentally ran into monoliths that fix the brain but also had the popup thing for multutools. I got mixed up because of the game shifting quests like it does. Ended up with multiple Atlantic multitools and sentinel ships and the black autiphage multitools. So many I had to stop the cycle because I ran out of space for ships and tools

they are kinda neat but I got a bunch more autophage staff parts and the runic staff (all runic parts) just looks so cool so I switched to this new staff for now. It's crazy what HG has done for multi tools. Imagine if this happens for ship building, space stations, void type stuff. It's crazy to say the least. (if you can build a multi tool there's no real reason you couldn't build a space ship. Now on ship building what happens if they allow you to create a blue print for a new ship, you take that to a "ship builder" say on void or maybe some space station? or other to have your starship builder(s) build the ship once you supply the parts for it. The settlements thing gave me this idea. I don't know anything though, just speculation.

This game appears to be a progression through and through. Was chugging along in a B class Fragment-V. Now in a Purge-Z S class. My freighter is still A class an d smaller than the B class I had. Apparently because of neglect, the settlement quest is in oblivion. Can't seem to teenage the quest through the galaxy map. There are No markers. Also only using the Defiance of Peace in S class. I.D.K. Not really into doing quests until I feel like it. Do the game developers realize this? Anyway don't give a Winny the Pooh about the Atlantid multitool but I appreciate the video. Peace.

(This is for the Staff, rather than the multi-tool). Had a lot of problems with this. First of all, I couldn't get the mission to trigger, then, when it did, I couldn't get to it using the current mission setting in the galaxy map, as it was taking me on multiple jumps across the galaxy without ever getting to it (weirdly the mission showed two lines, one of which was inaccessible?). Eventually found the mission icon, after multiple tries, by using Free Look and pulling back out to look for the icon manually. Eventually found it. But then, on the third step, when looking for the crashed ship to scrap, I called in a sacrificial ship and the game crashed. When I re-loaded, the game crashed every time, as soon as it opened. Blooming good job, I make save back-ups or I would have lost a 900 hr save. All of this took me all afternoon and evening before I finally got the staff. A warning there to everyone to make back-ups before you start any NMS update. And what the hell were HG doing making people sacrifice a starship as part of a mission?
