This is a cosmic blastula (Hollow-Cell sphere) which is detaining what looks like plasma tendrils. Magnetic encasing around an anomaly that was most likely causing plasma explosions and growing.
Makes sense, I was wondering what the tendrils are, since this is supposedly a gas based life form it would make sense that denser matter keeping it alive is inside it
@@ricardosantos6721 I've encountered it before. Flying into it has the same physics as if you were to just fly into any other object in space; as in it sets your velocity to 0 and damages your ships shields. Shooting it will also display the effect of being hit, but you will take no damage.

That's not a dyson sphere. A dyson sphere is a physical construction built around a STAR. The interior surface would have unlimited power and enough land for billions of earths.
@@snackpirate_ Google Dyson's sphere. It's purpose is to collect energy from a star. Exactly where would the power being captured from this object floating randomly, alone in space be sending the power it collected if it is a Dyson's sphere.
Very cool but not actually a Dyson sphere. Dyson spheres are spherical constructions (never "alive") that surround planetoid or starlike structures to harness the energy generated by them.

They probably pulse jumped, incountered it, moved away from the area just for the video and approached it afterwards. I think after it spawns, it doesn't despawn out of the star system no matter how far you go, unless you jump to another system.
Since, he didn't share the galaxy name, and the portal glyphs for the location, I'm assuming this is some sort of mod. I've been playing since the days of heavy metal resources looking like giant shiny eggs, back when there was no such thing as a terrain manipulator, and I've never seen anything like it. He didn't try to land on it, he didn't tell us where it is(probably because it doesn't exist.) His flying is horrible, and his video presentation was nonexistant. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to help the guy out. Make better videos.
