I just wish space stations had rooms where you could stare out a window and see space. Instead of just being one huge room have many rooms in it.

Ever since I've gotten into NMS in 2020 I kept saying how the standing mechanic was completely pointless and disconnected from actual gameplay. I'm so happy it finally has a good purpose. Frigate missions are no longer 100% passive, trading now has a fun minigame, and various other little things are just a little more deeper. I love how they've been much more focused on deepening the existing gameplay and features instead of just adding shallow stuff. Can't wait to see what else they have for us!

Why is noone talking about the level of great this game is vs the installation size? I mean, you can slap this on a portable nvme drive and play right off it.

Yolo Nolo They've come a long way since launch, when you needed to find ships just to increase storage by 1, until you hit 48. Then classes where added, meaning 3 hours of reloading for an S-Class. I was very thankful when Class and Storage modifications were added. Now here we are just straight up building custom ships. Obviously it's not to the level of Starfield, but at least in NMS, your ship is more than a glorified loadscreen. The new stations look awesome, it really shows how much Sean & HG love the universe they created, and the players that inhabit it. How do these guys not win the "Best Community Support" award every year? Imagine if all companies were this way.

I started playing NMS not so long ago, and when I first got into a space station (In Orbital) the first thing I noticed was a familiar robot. (Im glad Im not the only one who noticed GLaDOS😂)

As a new player of no man's sky, i always thought the space stations always looked that detail. I'm glad they made the change, but i also can't wait to see the abandon stations to see how they used to look, in depth

I got NMS at the right time then even found that exact Sentinel ship S class as well 😊

Still waiting for a faction war update. That would make this game perfect for me.

It's honestly insane how much No Man's Sky has improved since launch, and all for free with minimal hype from the studio before each update went live.

Orbital is such a cool update man, I've always wanted to make my own ship. That being said, it would be cool if they do some other overhauls such as combat and planets

I own this game but I havent got around to playing it significantly yet. What I would really like is RPG elements.. though im not sure what that would mean in a sandbox game. I dont mean some overblown story where I am the chosen one. It is more about having a character concept and a character arc, and the game shaping itself in some meaningful way in response to that. It is possible some of this emerges later. I did only play a bit. In the bit I did play there was no real character creation stage. Only cosmetic changes to your avatar that you can eventually discover how to apply at a station.

Quick question. I used to play nms a few years ago, after NEXT came out on console. I really like the game, ever since i pre ordered it way back. But what threw me off was the fact, that you had a cooldown on unlocking parts for base building. did i do sth wrong back then? or did they fix it? also, is it worthwhile longterm? im thinking of buying it again when its on sale :)

I’m glad they’re fleshing out old systems instead of adding new ones. The game was falling into that trap for a while, where the game had a lot of mechanics but none of them felt very deep. I’m glad to see they are avoiding that pitfall.

I went ship hunting after this update, and kept finding ones that couldn't be dismantled... I'd love to build my own star base in one of those systems that either had an abandoned one, or none at all.

I hope we eventually get a faction warfare update where systems can be in a state of war. Massive space battles spread throughout and even outpost attacks. Would be really good!

Performance needs a big update I’m on the x and it feels like 20-30 fps at times.

I wish planets received an overhaul, they are indeed unique but some of them feel small, its missing big mountains, rivers, different biomes, north and south poles, jee, that would make the game so much more interestimg

Found a space station today that was in the rings of a nearby planet it uhhhhh...... made it difficult... i couldn't see anything unless it was no more than 2 feet from my character i feel bad for anyone else that has seen that or worse

Does this update revamp areas you've explored already or should I start fresh to experience everything?

They just need to update some good ground combat. I want some planets to just have infested bug worlds and some with intelligent enemies.... basically hell diver like planets... While still having some those that have no life and some that have a mix of aggressive non agressive.

All I really need is the ground combat system. A first-person mode and a good AI combat enemies that shoots back aggressively against you. And more alien enemies.

Improve combat, and multi-biome planets… that’s what I want.

I could care less about the ship customization because the sentinel interceptors look way better than anything else that could be made.

Unpopular opinion but I want the ability to take off your space outfit when in your station. Bonus if they add oxygen tanks in the station. Leaks or attacks could destroy the tanks or lower oxygen inside. It’s the small details sometimes.

i'm kinda bummed the stations were replaced all together. The main problem i had was that all the normal stations looked the same and now, after the update, they still all look the same. they look better, but still the same. It would be nice if it was some kind of mix or had some level of variance.

No capital ship combat ?

Personally, i think they should make home planets or systems for the factions that have cities with meaningful NPCs and maybe a war between them that players can join. In my wet dream, they .ake a deal with Star Trek and add those planets and races.

Excellent stuff, but I really would like more intricate missions or new stories. No Man's Sky is vast, but the gameplay consists of fetch quests and survival with base building. The lack of a deeper narrative was my main problem back in 2016. The interface and the visuals were not that great, but they were serviceable with mods back then. Good that those aspects are better now, but a compelling story is missing to this day.

I wish they would upgrade the combat

the game is missing the seriousness aspect. there is nothing lose and there is no real threats so once you play and experience everything it gets boring. they need some sort of pvp or some serious aspect that will make it harder and difficult

I've had this game for years, but it never really clicked. However, I've put in 20+ hours in just the last week and I'm loving it. In a world where gameplay means pewpew pvp endgame loop to most people, the idea of just exploring and slowing down seems like a lost concept to some. Ps. I didn't even get to stations before so I need to visit the older abandoned ones to get more appreciation out of the difference now. 😂

There was already a mod for space stations on PC by redmas. I just wish the game wasn't so boring. Maybe I'm playing it wrong

Waiting for them to reintroduce removed basebuilding pieces. Stopped playing seriously after 1.5 dropped and made my 1.3 house impossible, and now I can't even have cozy (non-industrial) freightliner interiors without a legacy save! Hello Games do that Nintendo "thing" where they move 20 steps ahead and 5 steps backwards for no reason. It leaves me happy for everyone who enjoys returning to the game or starting new, but nonetheless confused over some of their decisions. @~@

Dont want to be nitpicking, cause the game is beautiful, and just dam good, but can you imagine an update for some ground combat ( not against sentinals) like some good ground combat!!! Leta go NMS

I've stopped following no mans sky news because I thought they would only focus on small updates no one cares about, man i was so wrong. Now there's only three things to make this game perfect for me. One ground combat overall: I know it's not the idea of the game, but hey, they made this with space combat, only having more enemy types and a better gameplay, and it would be enough for me. Two Dungeons update. Like the abandoned frigates, but having not only in space, but on the ground and underwater, each one of them with unique procedural mechanics, puzzles, stories and even bosses. Three Planets variation (of course): Now for me the variation is on a good state right now, but of course, it could be better (if you see mods, you know what i mean). Let's get wilder and crazier, having even square and flat planets, just imagine!!! But for real, this wouldn't hurt. Extra: Racing update. Now this is more of a dream, but it would be so cool to have racing in the game, it could be with any vehicle and spaceship, you can create your on tracks, and even have a class of combat cars, with guns to make these races more thrilling.

Its really cool but nms. no longer runs well at all on Xbox 1. Its not too bad when in space but if you go onto a planet the fps will drop to like 15. Its even worse during a storm, that's when you begin to hit single digits. Despite this I still love playing this update.

One thing we could have would be more alien species. It has been REALLY long since we last had anything other than Geks, Vykeens and Korvacs. I know there would need a whole new alphabet or something, but who knows. It could be an interesting adition
