Have you ever noticed that the closer you get to an earthlike planet, the freakier the mobs get? I could never settle down in this game becausa of that.

I also took up NMS for the first time after Starfield I mean, Starfield was ok, but the exploration aspect is totally meh in my opinion. I saw people in comments recommending NMS and thought I'd give it a try. I absolutely love it. One of the things I really like is the variety of things you can do. Feel like just randomly exploring and finding amazing planets, you can do that. Bored with that for a while? then you can get into base building. Or managing a fleet of frigates from your freighter. Or doing missions from the nexus. I'm in base building mode at the moment - I wish the build interface was a little easier to use but I'm loving it.

I bought the game on launch for the PS4. I didnt preorder it so I had to search for it. Went to 10 differnt stores that sold games where I live and finally found the final copy the local Best Buy had. The clerk spent 30 minutes going through the store and storage before finding the last copy at the returns counter. I played for close to 8 hours before making it off the first planet (I got lost in a cave), spent a few more hours venturing into the next system before deciding that the game wasn't for me. I loved the exploration aspect but the rest felt very lacking so I shelved it. After Starfield came out a whatched a steamer play NMS to compare the 2 and I saw the difference the all those patches made so I started playing again. Now I'm 700 hours into thr game and am having a blast scrounging for that perfect Sentinel ship, fighting space pirates and building bases.

Arrived in 2019, spent first few days trying to figure out how to fly. What a hoot. 4.5k hours later still enjoying it, especially the newest patch. Still reminds me of opening moments of 2001, a Space Odyssey, especially as I head down the trenches to kill freighters. Great game, looking forward to LNF. It's the replayability in the NMS sandbox that stands out. There's so much more to the game than most ever see and an excellent steam community to get help from Nice vid. Thanks for taking the time to put it all together. Cheers.

Day 1 player and long time fan of the game and the dev team, I have 400 hours on my current PC game save alone (which I started just before the Origins update), probably more than 1k over all my versions (I have all but Switch, I played also on VR and Steam Deck a lot - actually one of my fav things is playing my save seamlessly through desktop/mobile/virtual reality, it's a dream come true). I've played about 500 hours now over the past 3 months, including the new Adrift expedition (my first expedition) and I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface of things to do in the game. For anyone who's not yet played it but who likes the idea of a virtually limitless universe to explore, craft, build, and (most importantly) discover cool badass ships to fly - do yourselves a favour and check it out. I started with Starfield, was so looking forward to that game. I did like it, but it was not completely what I was hoping for. But the main reason I got to start playing No Man's Sky, was that I was looking for games to play with my buddies. I did hear of NMS years ago, but the negative response made me not try it. I'm a walking adult L and play nothing but Switch. When the game dropped for Switch, I quickly picked it up. I was jobless (post covid) and before i knew it I dumped over 100 hours into the game. The wild thing is, I had absolutely ZERO clue about any patches or updates. I thought I was playing the base game the entire time, and could not figure out why the game wasn't highly praised. Then I found out about the updates, and then things clicked. But that made me appreciate the game even more knowing the Hello really put work and care into the game. I took a break after Tears of the Kingdom came out. But now that that ship sailed, I'm getting back into NMS with a new game. Cant wait for the newer updates I missed over the past year.

I have just discovered ‘No Mans’s Sky after obtaining a PS5 upgrade. How on Earth did the developers manage to design a game with such a mind boggling number of visitable planets? This takes me back to the heady days of 1987’s ‘Starflight’ from ’Electronic Arts’. It was astonishing then with a PC from Tandy containing only 256k memory, that a game contained about 230 star systems and 800 planets; (Including Earth if you could find it). The size of the game made up for the blocky graphics and one only needed to use ones imagination to enhance the experience. ‘No Mans Sky’ is simply astounding; once you get over the lack of tutorial help, its totally absorbing and utterly enjoyable. Actually a breath of fresh air after so many ‘run and gun’ games’.

1°: i wanted to say how i descovered no man's sky, so that is it: Year: 2017 i was just playing on my humble xbox 360 and then i descovered that my cousin was going to pass some days in my grandmas house. He was 17 years, and still today have his gaming pc. So i went to my grandma house, and he was playing. I asked him if i could play, and he said yes. He had over 117 games on his libery, so i asked a cool game to i test, and he showed Astroneer and, yes, you gessed it: No Man's Sky. Firstly, i didn't liked tyat much astroneer, but for me, Nms was a banger. I loved it but in the time i didin't have any way to play it, so i just watched it on youtube. So the year is 2022 and my ant buyed me a xbox series s. I just went crazy and i buy the gamepass. Little did i know that nms was in the gamepass. Some time later, i was scrolling thro the games list, and that it was: no man sky. I didn't resist and instaled the game. I was very dumb in that time so for some reason i didin't played the survival, but, some months latee i would complete expedition nine and truly start a save, also soms time later i did expedition 11 voyagers and then give up in the game. I returned in interceptor upd and give up again. So it was just some weeks ago, i was real bored and wanted smth to play. So i was looking some games to unstall and that it was (yea again saem expression but i like it), Nms i put it play and started playing again. I am very addicted to the game and recommend buying. (I didin't buy it yet but if u have da money buy it) 2°: Also i wanted to give some regonise to the Reddit community, coz there is a lot of good people there. Different to some communitys, they help you, there are even people that gives stuff like expedition ships, void eggs, stasis device and etc. There is also coordinates exchange, there are some real good stuff like S class multi tools, S class exotics, different animals and etc. Pretty cool game to say the least

@33mavboy 5 месяцев назад
@@BunkzGaming I'm talking about the refiners themselves, you can duplicate most resource which is very unrealistic, not saying it's stopping me or anyone like me from avoiding it but its something that spoils the gameplay for some, crafting in a base isn't gaming haha, but yeah sadly empyrion galactic survival isn't really optimised, with recent graphics updates even my pc which is only 2 year old struggle with FPS most points of interest, the only major downside, most minor bugs can be worked around or fixed with in-game tools thanks to the community and Devs listening. I'm in no way shitting on nms, I love the game and will always play it here and there, so long as the Devs keep up their positive work and make changes based off discussion.(non modded games are pretty OG, 40% of empyrions content is by the modded community but it's all in sync with the lore of game they work with the developers) NMS just needs some changes and more tools available in-game to fix issues, most people are have more time than the Devs themselves but don't have the tools to fix the issues because it's not open in coding haha

I have just started the game together with my girlfriend when the Omega update dropped. Only had followed the games history through media at that point. Here is my take on the game: Even though people rightfully see it as somewhat of a redemption story it's still not a good, coherent game and I don't see this reflected nearly enough in all the superficial coverage of the game that only mentions that they added x,y or z over time. We had so many game breaking bugs (as long as MP is enabled) as well as nuisances that have apparently already plagued the game 4 to six years it's unfathomable that they are still a thing in a game that receives constant updates. Not only that, but the whole concept still isn't what was eluded to all those years ago and while it has gotten a lot more features NONE of them interlink in a promising or thought through way nor are they any good most of the time. -UI and controls: Mid to garbage. The amount of clicks it often takes (regardless of the platform) to perform an action with the accuracy of a drunk toddler is something I haven't felt in a non-Beta, non-early access game ever aside from maybe ArmA? Base building and inventory management are especially egregious. -Lack of fun in space What is a developer thinking who has a running game for 8 years that is centred around space while not giving you proper joystick support nor any fun activities in space itself? Apparently nothing. The space battles are a joke. Get an S tier ship and your fights might become a little trickier, which in and of itself is just Oblivion level stupid. (When I level up I expect there to be a reward not a punishment. But nonetheless they remain soulless and void of any fun. Push S/reverse thrust to always face the enemy. Who in their right mind came up with that design decision?! These so called battles are all just: "Press S to follow and hold left click for enemy go boom" with the only variation being: "kill pirate dreadnought slightly faster by manually spamming the "change weapon" button while using at least one phaser-like weapon that deals damage in bursts". It's lame, it's boring, it's quite literally the worst space fights I have ever had in any space game no matter the genre. That is wild to me, since that would usually be the first thing that a developer would go "Oh shit, the literal core mechanic while in space isn't fun? Let's redo it.". They had 8 years for that. - The base building? Rife with problems from the bad controls to the horrendous play-ability. There just isn't any real point to them. They don't have working defense mechanics or interesting base experiences. They are just useless husks that you mostly built to eventually find the planet again that you visited. Sadly most games get bases wrong, so this is not unique to No mans sky, but it's made even made worse by the fact that freighters render those bases even more useless than they already have been. Build some freaking gameplay loops around them for crying out loud. Make them mean something. -Freighters and Frigates: Aside from a mobile base and lame repetitive missions: What is the point? No really? Where are the big space battles that I can have with my fleet? Why is this not a thing? What the hell have you been doing all those years?! It was a given for me that fleet battles where a thing. I was shocked it wasn't. It was the whole point we even played the goddamn thing. -Variety Where? Where is it? No really? WHERE?! It's still the same 20-30 planets (at most) with the same looking animals everywhere just with a little variation in size and color. "Can you find beautiful planets?" Yes. "Are they in themselves diverse enough to warrant more than 2 screenshots before one moves on?" .... "Are they???" ... Not even a little The fact that I have seen everything shown in this video already including the exact types of animals, plants and so on in a game that is practically endless and claimed to have according variety is a joke. Again: We have played this game for maybe the better part of two or three weeks. Same goes for the ships. The differences are so minor I thought it was a progression thing at first. It wasn't. And then you can't even change their appearance because their paint and nose job is practically the only thing differentiating them from each other in their respective class/role (which has zero meaningful impact btw.) so we can't have that. I could go on for hours but I would rather make my own video where I can go far more into detail about this. Edit: No I haven't played Starfield because it was evident from the get go that it was a shit show. So I cannot compare but that isn't the point anyway.

My friends had the same gripe with the space combat and they simply turned the follow button off so they couldn't use it and had to actually follow to other ships. And I also agree with the planet and animal variety lacking but I still love my animals I've found and love walking through the bases I've built. It's been even more fun for me after putting hundreds of hours into grinding materials and such putting thr gane into basically creative mode, it's literally taking all my favorite parts (mutitool finding, ship hunting, base building) and making them even more fun for me. The base building can leave some things to be desired especially when you can't place a wall where you want it but when my friend has spent hours building his base on his freighter I just love walking around it and sitting inside of it and just being with my friends in the game with the things they have made make the game a 9/10 because multiplayer is so bad if we're doing any missions at all we go into single player but then reconvene and show off all the cool things we've gotten. Your not wrong but I just feel like you don't exactly get the point of the game. I'm looking for that perfect planet to set up a base on that I can just relax on and chill I'm not there to grind or to get achievements or do anything great it's just existing in the no mans sky universe that makes the game great for me. There's my wall of text.

@TheLegend-jp1vg That's totally fine, and I understand your opinion. It's not that I am blind to the allure it has on some, BUT that's simply not good enough for me because you should have both. Atmosphere AND gameplay. They are not mutually exclusive. But I'm not at all harping on the people that love the game. Like I said: I get it, it's just not sufficient for me, and I do think that objectively speaking, it really isn't either.

The game is really good I know I've got it, but i haven't even put 10 hours in yet, ngl it gets boring real quick, the lack of planet activities ruins the game, diging for a few things is ok as a side activity but as a main and must do thing in the game it get boring, it needs planet missions from npc, npc walking about doing things ,each one can be spoken to and may have quests. They can send you to other planets or across the planet to pick up ships surrounded by grey aliens 😂. So much more it could be which it isn't. It's good but its not that good.

Sounds like you could enjoy the expedition? The Omega one should still be on now if you head up to the anomaly for it, you actually have objectives and you'll spend a decent amount of time going through them all 😊

Curious to see what would make you trust Hello Games after 8 years of constant free updates and fixes to their main game? Even if Light No Fire is buggy when it releases you can rest assured they'll fix it. Even if it's a smash hit, we can rest assured they'll add more free content updates regardless.

I'm confused why you would show unrelated footage instead of actually showing footage related to the development of the game like.Why don't you show what it was like in 2016?And then show what it's like now not talk about it
