This is the building guide we've been missing. So many videos are just how to glitch stuff. I've been wanting something about just neat design tricks to make best use of the parts available.
I've never really bothered making anything than very crude functional bases - square wooden rooms with everything bundled up inside. But this looks like a really chilling thing to do. Cool video.
Your skill at free placement is extraordinary, I've been trying to duplicate some of this, but it's EXTREMELY difficult; I do a lot of glitch building, but this is WAY harder...
@skellnehausen it definitely takes a lot of patience. Because I've been doing these technical builds for a while now, I have a bit of a sixth sense of how pieces will land. I've also turned my controller sensitivity down, which helps. Just practice, and don't give up. :)
So I have tried and tried to shrink items that are not scalable and I don’t know what was different about your instructions but I was finely able to shrink my teleporter thank you so much.
From part 1, learned a few things, just found a very nice planet and a spot which is just perfect, gonna try and build a realistic neighborhood using actual architecture and your videos as a guild, thank you for making these videos
@Lastofus_Gaming good spotting! It's a larger build I'm working on based on actual floor plans and design from a house irl. I've been a bit sidetracked with these tutorial videos, but I plan on finishing that build at some point. I'll post Co-ordinates when I'm a bit further along.
After praising you yesterday, I have to "report" after having tried to duplicate your designs. You have the patience of a saint! All that free placement makes the build very difficult. Personally, I think that you and the viewers would be better served by limited glitch placement. Second, please avoid the use of legacy parts. Many do not have access to these parts and are unable to duplicate your design. You have a good eye for design, the details in particular. Please be certain that we can benefit from your skills. I'm only sending this because I know that you are new and deserve to be successful. You have defined a niche that others are not addressing, the natural looking base, and that's an important first step. Good luck with your new channel.
@@therighttobeleftinthecentr9083 care to expand on this? I'm sharing my experience. I love the design. I want to see more of his work. But I, like many players, simply don't have access to legacy pieces. So obtaining this clean look in this manner is impossible. While watching Beeblebum's latest build tutorial I learned how to use "middle" wall pieces, and that is progress towards the goal. As far as free placement, it's simply very difficult to get right. Any two panels can be out of alignment three ways and it's a challenge, at least for me, to find the perfect view where I can check all three at the same time. I'm not suggesting that he never uses free placement or that he turns this into another glitch building channel. I'm simply suggesting that if a simple glitch will properly place an item, that is preferred to free placement. I hope you take the time to respond because if I'm being unreasonable I want to be called out.
Oh man I completely forgot about legacy parts. I only have 1 save that has them anymore. They look better in a lot of situations. Now I gotta go back and look at all my old bases built with the old glitch system 😂.
More, more, more. I love the realism build. I'll be adding the roof to my latest build. One quick question, I don't have legacy parts. What do you recommend to replace concrete?
as a new player - I'm angry that we don't get legacy decos (i wouldn't even mind if they made them available for nanites - I'd buy them) - I'd love to be able to use those in many builds. Thanks for the excellent video.
@frederickmiller5492 I agree. It's annoying that Hello Games chose to take the legacy parts out of the game. You can still use a save editor to get the parts though.
If you're on PC you can restore the legacy pieces with mods or a save editor quite easily. Pretty sure some save editors can also enable access on console saves, if you have a usb drive to transfer your save to a computer and back again
How do the solar panels work when they are not exposed to the sun? Also, do you not have to put electrical cords to attach them? Thank you for taking the time with my inquiry.
@jdpyle378 the solar panels seem to work regardless of where they are placed. The ones in the video are all wired to the generators. I just did that step off camera, as it wasn't particularly riveting footage watching me place wires. :)
@bones1969-yes some of these parts are from a set called Legacy. It came out in the early days of the Anomaly. I don't know why Hello Games chose to remove access in later updates. You can still get the parts using a save editor.
@bones1969-yes that I don't know. I did see that someone mentioned in the comments that it is possible to use it for console. Maybe ask around on the NoMansSkyTheGame reddit. They're super helpful on there.
