it is stated in the manga that She stabbed the samurai in the eye because he called her brother hideous It should be noted that in the manga they clearly show that Gyutarou was the one who raised her to be in healthy state as he gave her all the good food he obtained and kept her warm as he had hope for her. He clearly was no less than a brother than Tanjirou, just different circumstances!

fun fact: the disease that killed their mother was called Ume AKA syphilis Daki blinded the swordsman because he insulted her ugly brother. Tengen with bandages on his face was tengen's first design

I might be slow but I just realized when gyutaro was disrespecting tanjiro last episode he was just repeating all the words that were said to him and seeing daki's backstory makes when nezuko burnt her with her blood demon art hit different lmao

Ufotable really just teased the upper moon demon meeting at the end. I was really looking forward to seeing it now we have to wait a whole year 😭

Douma’s VA is Light Yagami, that alone makes me super excited

It's incredibly sad how nobody in that village helped 2 dying kids, their only help came from one of the worst demons, that shows humans can be monsters too and the real villains of the story.

Obanai(serpent pillar) has one of the saddest traumatizing backstory ever so that explains his arrogance

Y'all keep forgetting that Nezuko can't heal them. She's able to burn blood and because the poison is Guitar hero's blood, she can burn specifically his blood out of their bodies

Nezuko can't heal, she just made the poison dissapear as she can burn demons but not humans

Not sure if anyone realize this, I just found out what Gyutaro did to tanjiro back in epsiode 17 is exactly what happened to himself in this episode. I mean the names he called tanjiro, useless, disgraceful etc...then mocked him for not saving his sister and eventually offered him to become a demon.

They always manage to make you feel emotional about the demons when they die. This was such a good last episode.

Here's some extra info we got from a fanbook. Gyutaro's mother also hated Ume and tried to strangle her but Gyutaro always protected her. One day she tried cut out all of Ume's hair and for the first time Gyutaro hit his mother. After that she became to scared the to do anything to them and just avoided them not long after she died from the disease. Also Ume stabbed the samurai in the eye because he insulted Gyutaro.

Even as a Manga reader I felt really bad to see Oyakata-sama so sick and his voice made me feel really sad about it 😭

Nezukos technique has only ever worked on Demons so it makes sense she could use it to burn Demon poison away

The upper demon in their flashback is VOICED BY THE GOD OF VA HIMSELF MAMORU MIYANO aka the voice of light yagami and chrollo.

A great "visual storytelling" part is when he hears Umes pleas to take her with him. He hikes her up high on his back so she wouldn't feel the flames of Hell that he had to walk through. Always protecting his little sister, even the afterlife. 💪🏻😢 Gyutaro isn't just the best demon, but one of my favorite characters 💯🔥

to clear the confusion nezeuko cant heal wounds her blood demon art burns off other demons & their blood demon art (basically any thing demonic she can burn it off ) when she used it for the first time in ep19 season one rui was confused that nezeuko's fire(blood demon art ) only burnt him and his string but not tanjiro who was close to and she used it again on the train she was able to woke tanjiro up of his dream when she headbutted tanjiro so she bleed and use her blood to burn off the spell cast on tanjiro ( tanjiro's head really hard like a rock lol) this time the poison being demonic created by gyutaro(part of his bllood demon art ) she was able to burn it off

That backstory was great involving Daki and Gyutaro as is expected with most of them being sad plus Ufotable went above and beyond with my favorite arc in the manga the animation team aren't human frfr also Let's go BENGALS

Voice actor for Douma, the guy that gave blood to daki and gyutoru is Mamoru Miyano. He does the voice for Light in Death Note and Chrono in HunterxHunter, among a million others. They drew his "rainbow eyes" perfectly. I was curious how they would animate it. Also don't worry about Obanai, the serpent Hashira, he is best boy.

I feel you on the Nezuko curing the poison feeling cheap but at least it was stablished long ago she could burn away demon powers without harming humans. But what really felt like straight up BS was Inosuke moving his freaking organs lol.

Nezuko is awesome! Thank you so much for saving Tanjiro's, Inosuke's and Tengen's live. You are for sure a part of the Demon Slayer's, no matter what anyone is saying. But we shouldn't forget the backstory of Gyutaru and Daki/Ume. Really strong and sad, my tears just came out. For everyone: Respect your siblings, be nice to them and be happy to have them. Same for your parents. I'm already hyped for the next Arc the Swordsmith Village Arc!!

The story did leave hints to Nzeuko demon art only affecting demons and why she could burn away the poison. Rui after being beheaded (by Tanjiro) asked Tanjiro why he was the only one who got burned. Referring to Tanjiro jumping through Nzeku flame to attack him Mugen Train saw Nzeuko set Tanjiros entire body on fire while he was trapped Enmus daemon art which dispelled some of the technique and didnt hurt Tanjiro Daki outright stated that her technique only burns demons.

The "katana kagi" episode is even more amazing ... it comes to my heart!👍😭

This show... is really something else. We spent 10 episodes hating those two for being amoral monsters, and in one episode we are crying for them just like I would cry if any of my favorite charecters had died. You know what is the saddest things? Ume could have gone to Heaven. Renember, she was pretty much dead when she was turned, so it was totally against her will. And yet she chose Hell if that means staying by her brother's side. Heartbreaking. 😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 It's so funny how most of the charecters (and by that I mean Zenitsu and Suma) spent the episode with ugly cry faces like the ones the viewers had watching it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

personally daki and gyutaro were my favorite demons😭the way daki, still being her clingy childish self, crying because she just wanted to be with her older brother… even if it meant she was going to hell with him since it seemed she initially would’ve went to heaven. that’s also why gyutaro was saying all those mean things to her. he wanted her to have better as she deserved better, which is her going towards the light than the darkness that he was heading towards :(
