ESPN and mainstream media are all trying to push TATUM to MVP position. Just look ESPN after Celtic-MAVS game, they were all talking how unstoppable Tatum was, while Luka had 39 points triple double and no one cared to mentioned it. When Luka had 73 point game ESPN guy said it was a bad game and bad defense, while when a few days before Embid had 70 points game they lost their minds and couldn't praised Embid enough for his 70 points game. It's just stupid and unfair. I know Luka wont get MVP. But imagine Tatum or any other player had same numbers, uuuuf, he would already be front runner for the MVP. I truly don't know what Luka would have to do to become MVP. Would 40 ppg help? would 10 rebound and 11 assist help? Would 35 ppg, 10 reb and 10 ast help Luka to be an MVP? I think not, cos he is almost there and nothing.

He is good player in excellent team, but he is not near the top 5 players atm. Just compare Luka and Tatum. Luka 34.7 ppg, Tatum 26.9 Luka has better FG% , has better 3p%, more 3s per game, more rebounds, more assists, more steals, better in EFF , same in blocks, Tatum is just better in free throws %, thats it.

Please don't get me wrong he is very good player and Celtics may win championship, but this season Luka is just better, you can't deny that if you objectively compare their stats. They are both 25 y old. Luka is just on another level, and also Jokič , and some others, Tatum is just not on the top this year, there is just to many great players.

@@LeeeWai He has been showing flyaway signs of not meshing well with other star players. Kyrie is an all time great guard, and they missed the play-in last season. This season they are heading for the play-in, but that's not a huge improvement. Luka's interplay with Porzingis didn't work at all, and now Porzingis is the best player on the Celtics. And Porzingis isn't a ball-dominant player. Luka hasn't had a good roster yet, on any season. I believe he could lead some team to championship. But it might need to have only certain type of players, who mesh with Luka. Or, as suggested, a coach, who implements a triangle offense, or some other strategy, that balances touches.
