David Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon each dropped at least 30 on him. I don't think a 30-year-old Embiid (1 year removed from an MVP season) would be destroyed by 24-year-old Shaq.

People forget that players like Bird and Johnson impact the game in multiple ways - Bird doesn't have to score and neither does Johnson. Johnson was the point guard, and Bird was the point forward. If anyone remembers, the two were strategically placed on different USA team line ups during the Olympic games.

@@The3Watcher Just look at the weak spots the '24 team had; they were sloppy with the ball against tough defense, they didn't rebound well (AD can't do it all), and they weren't particularly strong against physical teams and got pushed around a lot. Yes, the '24 team is going to shoot 3's but they will absolutely live and die by the 3 because they won't get many second shots. The Dream Team had all-time great defensive players that would have given the '24 team fits and they'd have committed a ton of turnovers (worse than against Serbia and France). The FIBA rules and officiating also favored the Dream Team in allowing more physical play. I watched every game USA played during the Olympics and enjoyed watching the current greats play by more conventional rules. A game would be amazing, but I'd have to give the edge to the '92 team based on what I actually saw and not the speculation these guys were going on.

This doesn't make Lebron a better 3 point shooter, but bc Lebron is such a threat to both pass and drive to the hole plus the fact that he has trained and played in offenses that are designed to create 3 point opportunities his results are better. That being said Mullin also significantly improved as a 3 point shooter after the 92 season. Mullin was my guy in NBA jam back in the day.

And coaching has to go to the 92 team because they would actually coach different schemes for the team to combat what today's team would throw at them.
