Those Fungus gnats are so annoying. Those pesty pest that look like tiny flies the buzz around our plants and our faces. Let's get rid of them once and for all.
I don't use sticky insect traps. You those yellow those that come i different shapes and have a sticky surface and needs to stick into the pots. They can trap the adult fungus gnats but will not stop the eggs and larvae still in the soil. They also unfortunately trap native animals like frogs and eckos. Its very sad to see dying animal stuck on these contraceptions, so l avoid them.
What is a more effective solution is use bottle add 10ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide to every 100ml of water. Use this to drench the soil of the plant. This will kill the eggs and larvae in the soil. Top the soil with cinnamon which deters adult fungus gnats to lay more eggs in the soil. The final step is to let the soil completely dry to completely stop the reproductive cycle of the fungus gnat as adult fungus gnats only lay eggs in soil the has some moisture in it. The adult fungus gnats will die on its own within the month without being able to reproduce in soil again. This 3 step process is easy and simple to do. Try it out to finally at rid of of pest gnats.
