Just picked up one last week and the bluetti . I have been impressed playing with it here at the house and can’t wait to camp with it . Hope they last long term . Hopefully camper will be complete in a week or two and give it a real world try . Y’all have a good day !

My wife and I have been watching your videos for quite some time now. It is informative and fun to watch. We are building a squareback trailer and your channel keeps me inspired to push on when things are going slow. I started with a semi truck sleeper turned flat on a boat trailer and added 2 ft. to the back for a galley. We are guessing to be done in the spring. Thanks for your hard work! I appreciate you being honest in all these videos. I watch your stuff to see what I can cross over to a marine application. All of our camping is done on a 25 ft boat with sleeper cabin. So far I've used your Generator reviews and now have a portable one on the boat I take out with us as needed. This fridge would be a welcome addition on a extended stay on water. Next step for me is to get into your solar set up videos and figure out how to take and apply that to the boat. Thanks again for what your doing.

@@CampandCamera - Edgar Evins is definitely a place to revisit. Chris and I often talk about our timing for traveling south again. We loved taking our teardrop to all those state parks. Avoiding strong weather, in the south and in the northeast can be tricky. We were in our first severe thunderstorm in Arkansas (at Lake Catherine) and when we returned to NYS, it was snowing! It was all part of the adventure 😊

We keep a small electric cooler in our truck all the time. With COVID-19 restrictions, we always eat in the vehicle. Having the cooler for our drinks saves us quite a bit instead of buying drinks at the restaurant. It also comes in handy to keep groceries cold till we get home from the store. We drop in a cold pack from the freezer at home to give the cooler a head start.

I recently stumbled onto your channel and I'm very impressed with everything about it. You and your wife are great people, (can't be anything else you're from Tennessee). I'm from West Virginia and love camping. I've had an interest in Tear Drops for years even though I'm a primitive camper. As you can see from my little picture I camp 1700s style. I love the presentation of your videos and the way you film. I was watching you videos last night and almost cried laughing at your visit to the Wildlife park with all the animals running loose. Keep them coming because with my health and age I can't camp anymore so I camp with people like you, the hikers, and the bushcraft groups. Thanks again and God bless you both and keep you safe.

Thanks! No filters. I’m just shooting 1080 at 60fps. I did have my exposure compensation set to 1/3 stop overexposed.

I actually rendered the video at 60fps as well. I HATE the 24fps Hollywood uses. I know why they do it, but the jerking you get in panning shots drives me nuts! Lol!

@@CampandCamera my favorite was carried by cigreen. DC-35T and it's cousin DC-25T. Tall and very insulated. I don't know who carries them now except Alibaba, and I found them unnavigable.

We have a T@G also; it’s a 2018 model, so it came with a 12v refrigerator ... It’s like having a Yeti refrigerator! We love having a fridge. If we ever have to replace it, I would check back here with Michael to see if this fridge is still going strong.

Love your channel but I'd like to play devils advocate. If your a weekend type camper ..... go with a cooler. If you camp in a dense forest....... go with a cooler. I'm 1k deep in a fridge, solar & batteries & I need more solar or batteries. Solar needs FULL sun, they suck in partial shade. I could go on but , just a heads up to other viewers. Camping ez = simple = cooler . Just my experience

Hey buddy, I was going to tell you something but now I’m hungry, suck bag taters! Yumm! Any way I’m pretty sure I saw you talking about bringing an ice maker with you when you go camping, amimirite? Well, I just bought a Frigidaire model from Walmart for $99 and we’re using it while camping at St. Croix State Park in Minnesota. And it’s working great and I love it. Having basically unlimited ice while camping is awesome! Thanks for all you honest videos and greetings again from Minnesota.👍🏼☮️

Ralph, what is the wattage use on the 12 volt ICECO? I just started looking at 12 volt compressor refrigerators and was needing to know the power usage. One other question. Once you get it to temperature how often would you say it kicks on each hour and for how long. I know outside temperature will make it vary. Just wondering. Thanks.

@@pkarowic Good Morning. The ICECO GO20 will run using my Jackery 500 for 60 hours give or take a few until it depletes the Jackery completely. However I’m recharging the Jackery daily using my roof mounted Renogy 100 solar panel so running out of power has never been an issue. While smaller than the one used by Camp&Camera it can be used as a freezer/refrigerator simultaneously or by removing a small divider individually. Plus it’s Bluetooth so you can monitor and adjust the temperature by using an app on your phone. ICECO makes larger units also. Also be aware they are pricy!! I bought mine on an Amazon fast few hours sale for almost half price. To summarize having a 12 volt refrigerator/freezer in my 4x8 SquareDrop has been a camping game changer for me. Hope this helps.

The whole concept is to keep things cold...BUT it's exhausting out hot air into the vehicle raising the temperature inside the car/RV is there a way to exhaust the heat outside?

Maybe, but we haven’t felt the need to do so. It doesn’t put out as much heat as one might expect.

Keep in mind that when you use a power cord that converts AC to DC, you are losing 30% of the power in the conversion. Nice cooler.

The lid... the design... the plug all look like the norcold fridge i got with my T@g camper. It has a voltage cut off in case the fridge drags the tow veh battery too low it will cut the fridge off.

how do these compare to the massimo ekoolers. ive read the massimo arent good insulators and are power hungry. also, i need something with wheels so that rules out many setpower fridges. all massimo come with wheels.

I'm going to get a teardrop and was wondering if the back of the teardrop may need additional ventilation to keep the fridge from overheating in the summer. Most especially when the back hatch is closed & fridge is running.

@@CampandCamera Guess WHat!!! I got one!! Amazon had a 47$ off coupon strait from Mfgr, and with external laptop type female adapter, i can use it for 110v! Day one and it's already cooling to 35degrees nicely. Will test lower temps tomorrow. Like any fridge, let compressor set level 24hrs after shipping prior to use. So far, so good! Eggs, galon of milk, shelf for cheese and lunchmeat, plenty of room for sodas and others. Can't wait to store yogurt again! Hopefully I can afford a Jackery and some solar panels soon, so i can have a looped system! Saving up for sure. Really appreciate your review, I looked at TONS of these types and yours really sold it. ThankS! -Kriswixx.

How is your unit holding up? I bought the 30qt one based on your review. However, I had to return it because the temperature would swing from approx 23°F to 50°F. I couldn't trust it to keep perishables cold.

Sorry to hear that. Ours is working great. Matter of fact, we just used it continuously for the past 4 days. We keep it set around 34 degrees. When it warms up about 4 or 5 degrees the compressor kicks on and cools it back down. We love this unit. Did you do a temperature calibration on yours?

@@CampandCamera The 30qt wouldn't allow a calibration. It would freeze ok, but the refrigerator mode had too many wild swings.

Hmmm...sorry to hear that. This one usually stays within a 5 degree window whether freezing or cooling. While researching, I saw several brands at/near that price range though. I spoke with someone over the weekend that recommended Alpicool. You may give them a look.

yeah in fact that's what we did about 3 weeks ago but unfortunately it rained much of the three days camping and we did not get a chance to even put the boat in the water. lol But that's why i bought the camper so i can do just that or use it when we travel to see family, we don't have to worry about getting close to people because of this covid.
