First timer here and you picked a Subscriber. Watched on my Oculus / Meta Quest 3 VR headset which only brings your video more to life. This little Shasta camper is beautiful and totally functional!
I did this when I was home with my brother and it was wet outside. Just used the dining room open fire with a grate over the top - waited for the sticks to burn down a bit and did burgers and sausages.
Just a quick comment on driving safety. If you set up a small HD camera facing your seat, you can film your videos without taking your eyes off the road. You spent more than half of the intro to this video looking at a camera that was obviously set up beside you, instead of in front of you.
Where can I find those RV septic end caps? I’ve ordered some on Amazon and they are completely wrong. Can you guide me in the right direction? I’ve got a similar AC unit and want to add a couple holes in the side of my camper just like you did.
What is the base trailer for these builds? That is one important item I want to know. I don't really like the idea of the folding Harbor Freight trailer, I think it might be a little flimsy. These don't look like Harbor Freight trailers either.
Thank you for video it helped with my install plan a lot. I bought a 2012 Small Guy 5 teardrop about a week ago. It had a dead battery in it so I replaced it with a 100 amp hour battery, I am waiting for my 100 Watt hour Renogy to arrive as well as the heavy duty 3 m tape and my converter. The good thing is I have a solar panel input on the side of my trailer. I just bought a good big, quiet truckers fridge/freezer that is 45 Watts per hour so I figure I should have enough juice to keep the hamster on the wheel going. Beautiful trailer that you built. I pulled the Queen size bed out because the guy who owned it before me used Bounce heavily scented drying sheets to keep mice out. Achhoooo. I found a 6 inch memory foam I think lawn chair mattress which folds in 3 and has removable covers to watch. What I like about it is that I can put one up against the back wall and sit on it like a couch then lay it flat to go to bed. Anyways happy trailering I watched some of your other videos on security hat hanging etc.so today I went out and got hooks and bought another lock to add to the other4.
My girlfriend had a 74 Shasta like this, but original. I helped her refab and restore some. We had great times in it and it towed behind a v6 just fine. I then built my own teardrop off road trailer with solar, water and 12 volt fridge. I traveled for 2 years in it. I have to say you took the very best of both worlds and made a very unique and practical build ! hats off, seriously I have been doing this with trailers and sailboats for 10 years and this is Awesome !
Im in the process of building my square drop. Im using Vince and Pam's build for my inspiration. Great job and thankful for the ideas. Hope to meet someday.
