Cejudo has always been undervalued by the UFC. He’s basically the Daniel Cormier of flyweight but he just doesn’t get the recognition he deserves simply due to his weight class.

I don't think he plays ball like DC did though. DC appeared to be much more of a company man. I don't ever recall hearing about DC in a contract dispute or any kind of beef with the brass. I can't say the same for Henry. That's not at all a knock at Henry. I respect it. Another big difference between Cejudo and DC would probably be draw power, though the UFC is the promotion machine. Henry's low-draw could be their own doing, or less fan interest in that weight division if your name isn't Sean O'Malley.

I've been telling people that Gaethje can't win, because of the weird curse of 35 year old fighters at 170 pounds or less, in title fights. But then I did some research, and found that the BMF title has only ever been won by the older fighter. The younger opponent has lost 100% of BMF title fights. But according to regular title fights, Gaethje being over 35 only has a 4% chance to beat Max Holloway who is 32.

The whole “I was promised I was gonna get blown” was way over done. We got it the first couple times, the last 30 got old. The 300 card is amazing, better than 299 as a whole. But the problem is it’s definitely weak at the top. There’s no shock factor fight on the card besides Kayla Harrison which, say no more.

Someone did a detailed breakdown of the stats, and now with Volk's loss, only 1 in 32 male fighters, fighting a younger fighter, at 170 pounds or less, has won a title in the UFC. Fights like Woodley vs. Damian Maia are excluded, because Maia was 37. And the only person to win was actually Woodley at 36 years old in 2018, beating the inexperienced Darren Till (25) who didn't have any high profile wins before the title fight.

I’m a subscriber so I weirdly like Brendan’s comments and break down. I’ve followed the guy since the ultimate fighter, but to think the UFC doesn’t have a say so in who does analyst work. Henry has had a great career. I’ve enjoyed his fights if he retires, but I don’t know what was said in the negotiations that pissed Dana off, but I’d be willing to bet it involved a guy with funk glasses. Sucks for Henry, but an Olympic gold medalist in wrestling doesn’t make you a cash cow, but he was on top of 2 divisions in a time a lot of people weren’t watching. Shout out to Henry though.

In hindsight I think two things would have happened. 1) Henry would have stayed retired and 2) volk wouldn’t have taken the rematch vs Islam on 10days. You could tell volk was concerned about getting knocked out again. Before that Islam rematch he didn’t look so hesitant
