100% correct. Aspinall has been almost totally ignored despite what he's done. The US media ignores him. Joe Rogan has barely mentioned his name. Aspinall is now the baddest man on the planet, and nothing, silence. It's embarrassing. Dana, and others, obviously don't want Jones to lose his 0, and they know there is a very, very high chance that will happen. If Aspinall were American, you would not be able to spend a day without hearing about him. Yes, they pray Blades will beat him. So, so corrupted. What next, trying to ban him over some such made-up transgression. I wouldn't be surprised. With his record, he'd be all over the US media. He'd be a massive star. The marketing would be insane, and yet, he's totally ignored. Rogan would be talking about what a "beast" he is, but no, Rogan discusses fighters not half as good or exciting. The silence is deafening. Dana is ignoring the facts in front of his face. He's protecting a fighter because he's the best American and no American wants the GOAT to get beaten in one minute, because, what then happens to his GOAT status? A legend is destroyed. For the decades to come, Jones' name, because of Aspinall's easy beatdown, will be below other UFC (non-American) fighters. This is corruption. The US, because it invented UFC, needs the GOAT to be an American. It needs a legend. It goes bigger than Jones merely losing a fight. This is about history. It's mafia-style corruption to protect US martial arts history. We ALL see this, Dana. We know what's going on, and you said this would never happen. You, and the USA media and so-called UFC experts in general (not Brendan, not Chael), are protecting their property. Just give us the fight, for God's sake. This is so stupid. Weight cutting is so dangerous and unhealthy for young athletes. A couple pounds isnt going to do much. Im sure muy thai incorporates much more skill over ounces in weight. I was an inexperienced female wrestler and i was taken down by an experienced young boy who was 3/4 my height and weight. Poor girl. I hope she doesnt let this setback define her passion in the sport.
That's obviously devastating for her, but if she didn't make weight, she didn't make weight. I applaud this particular organization for requiring it's fighters to be properly hydrated because it means they're not rewarding fighters that can dangerously cut weight quickly. Losing a title over something like 1.5lbs is awful because I'm sure she worked very hard to initially earn that title, but she knew where she needed to be, and she wasn't there. Super unfortunate
I think there should be a limit to how much weight your allowed to cut before a fight. Like you can't cut more than 5-10 lbs above you fighting weight idk.

I'd never take a title from someone bc they were over weight (5lbs) should be permitted or you're just a sore loser. Like a murderer getting off bc the cop forgot to read them their rights
