For being a smaller creator, this was an amazing video, well edited, and good quality. This also helped me decide some mods for my Keychron I just bought!
Ah yes the algorithm has hit my recommendations and thank God it did. I've been looking for videos on the Q1 and this is such a calm, straight forward, video that covers what anyone would want to see in a video like this. Your editing is great and makes the video flow so well. Definitely can't wait for more and that's an easy subscribe. Keel it up
@@IzuanHezri Didn't think I'd come back here but just got a q1 recently and was wondering where you got your silicon sheet as I'm looking to reduce the ping in the lower case. I've heard silicon mutes the board compared to say poly fill or sound deadening material s, is this true or is the silicon to thin?
The quality of your video is really impressive! Sound, lighting, Overlays! You got it all! Keep up the good work.On a side note, I prefer narration over written text.
Q1 is one of the best keyboards of 2021 at it's price range. Really enjoyed using mine. Sold it off to but a Suit but now I am still missing out the q1
Cant agree more on that. Kudos to keychron to be able to provide such a good keyboard at this price range. Oh man, that Mr Suit. Really wish i could get my hands on them one day. One fine day 😁 Hey thanks for the view man. Really appreciate that 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Exactly the same mods I did with my Q1, but I’ll suggest to change the force break mod tape to something thicker. After several weeks, the 3 layers of tape flattened out so much that the top and bottom are in contact. End up with using some leftover Deskey films!
Thank you so much for this - the silicone pad is what I was looking for. Everyone else was using sound mat but ... Love this sound - can't wait to get my q1 together. (2nd build )
Is the poly-plate recommended for dampening that Ping sound from the case? What I mean to ask, if I picked up the brass plate would the results be worse than what you’ve managed to achieve?
Hey bro, thanks for viewing the video and the compliments :) Really appreciate that. Different types of plate does offer a different typing feel and sound signature. IMO, Yes, the poly plate did dampened the ping sound coming out from the board. Well, maybe im wrong, or maybe im right. Cos i hadnt had the chance to try the brass plate on this board, otherwise it would give me a solid answer whether it does help with the ping or not :) If u had the chance to try out the brass plate on this board, please do update me on how it turns out.
Hi. Thanks man 🙏🏼 The stuffs that comes with the keyboard only can be use to dissamble the board eg hex screwdriver/ hex allen. U’ll need to buy other tool separately, eg scissors, tape etc etc.
Hey thanks man !! Yes it is safe, no worries. Just make sure that u choose the right tape for the job. Because some of the masking tape did have strong adhesive, this will be a problem in the future, Painters tape is the best choice imo. It doesnt stick that hard. Cheers !!
I bought the ixpe foam from a AliExpress seller payed for for 4packs and only got 2. So pricy films. Real Eagles trading store. I can’t get them in Europe so that’s the only option I think I’ll stick to packing foam in the future getting the film is to much of a hassle
Haha indeed To me, as long as I still can feel the actuation of black hg, and remove the ping sound, its good enough :) Anyway, thanks for watching the video
Hey thanks ! Haha. No particular reason. Lazy to remove the stand offs.😉 Ive installed and used the stand offs with screw during for previous setup(before the video recording). Thats why the stand offs is there.
Hey thanks man !! Its just that i found the bottom part of the keyboard seems to produce more ping than the top area. Plus, it would give the space bar more definitive sound. Nothing special bro 😁
Indeed bro, the tempest and pe did hinder the signature sound of black hg. I bought them pre cut according to the keyboard size, trimmed and cut them by myself accordingly. Oh anyway, thanks bro for watching the video :) really appreciate that
@@IzuanHezri No problem bro. Great video also deserved a like haha. Do you mind telling me the size you measured for the sheet as I would also like to order one from the link you included.
Just ordered one and will be doing the same mods. Going to be swapping the stock phantom brown switches for something else. What's the total number of switches? Great vid! Subbed!
@@benshaener3044 hey thanks for dropping by 😁 Answer, im affraid it does. Due to the nature of pe mods, it changes the signature sound of the keyboard. It adds a "poppy" sound to your board. Im not quite sure the correct terms for it 😆 but lets just agree with that. U can use the pe foam instead of pe switch pads just to get a taste of how it sounds like. Its easier to find and its dirt cheap ✌🏼 Hope it helps bro.
you dont need to do all this. especially the tape mod, as it makes it sound cheap. Just replace stock stabs with good stabs (tx , sw knight, stabies) and force break mod
Hey bro. Thanks for dropping your thoughts without understanding the whole situation pf this video. The video is uploaded 2 years ago. Where none of the thing u mentioned is even existed. Tq
And clearly, u doesnt even know how big the tape mod is 2 years back. To the community, its like they have discovered how to extract gold from a rock. And hey bro, welcome to the community.
@@IzuanHezri I think the sound produced from the tape mod makes the board sound cheap. Its just my opinion. I think its good for boards that sound very hollow or don't sound good stock. I'm sure durock v2's existed 2 years ago too. Imo, the best thing you can do for q1 is to replace stabs. The stock stabs even when lubed and balanced aren't very good
Hey thanks for dropping by 🙏🏼 Actually mu current setup for this board has changed. Going for the deep sounding signature. And ive uploaded a new setup for this. Please check it out on my channel. ✌🏼🙏🏼
Hey thanks for dropping by 😁 0.5mm will definitely give u more flex. In terms of which is better, thats all come down to personal preferences. Hope it helps bro 🙏🏼
Hey thanks for viewing the video, really appreciate that :) TBH, ive never game this past 2-3 years. But if im not mistaken, the only thing that makes the board feels "laggy" is the switch actuation. Whether its a short actuation switch or vice versa. U may want to look for a short switch actuation if u want some fast response esp if u playing competitive game. And the other thing is whether it is wireless or wired, well this is out of the question since both Q1 and GMMK Pro is wired right. Hope it helps :)
Thank u for stopping by bro :) Haha. Hyperglide mmg takleh nak completely hilangkan dia punya scratchyness tu. And bagi sesetengah orang, scracthyness HG tu lah yg buatkan tambah stim tu.
