Courage:
Harriet Tubman grew up as a slave. She saw the horrors of slavery first-hand, and she determined it was worth fighting against with everything she had to offer. She escaped from bondage, then returned to the South time and time again to help others realize their own freedom.
Despite a reward placed on her head to be killed or captured, and facing the possibly of torture as well, she kept going back - all in an effort to fight against the evil institution of slavery. She wasn't looking for recognition. She wasn't looking for payment. She simply desired to help as many slaves find freedom as possible, even if it meant risking her own life.
Harriet Tubman, the epitome of courage.
