It’s like I’ve already said, over occupancy because the landlord is not keeping up with how many people are staying in the apartments and she’s just issuing passes. If there’s a fire to break out she’s going to be in major trouble when the fire marshal goes through.
The problem is people say they are moving in by themselves to get a better rate then move others in after signing the lease ! So the landlord really doesnt know how many people are living in the Apt. Same thing happens to me and my rentals ,find after the fact when checking water meters if water usage is higher then normal and building cameras !!
It isn't always just that though. Here we have a bunch of apartment complexes that assign one spot per apartment regardless of how many rooms the apartment has, and they are all next to a major college. At least here we don't seem to have any building code that dictates the number of spots required to be offered based off number of units. At least one unit I know of has paid spots, but the number of spots is less than the total number of apartments and some apartments are four rooms.
Will this apartment ever get sorted out. I think they need to reevaluate that whole situation. It seems they have too many people in each apartment or something. I would hate to be one of the 3 cars that was blocked in by that one car. What if there was an emergency. They wouldn’t have been able to get out. Same for those in the first lane. Y’all stay safe!
Do people not read the sign that say, do not go back there? That's all. I wish you had just like a door only that only you can open instead of having to open the entire gate, but that's just my opinion.
He is too dumb to understand what a fire lane is. He doesn’t know what it’s for smh so he can’t see the mistake. Driver’s education sucks and people are lazy plus ignorant
in my opinion its worse. with a handicapped spot your inconveniencing someone and maybe stopping them from getting into their home or a doctors appointment etc, the fire lane being blocked could kill a bunch of the people in the apartment complex because the fire trucks can't get close enough to stop the fire.
should be a criminal offense, the car impounded by the PD. Go to court to explain to a judge why you thought you were allowed to do it before you maybe get it back.
These parking lot wars episodes are gettin real! Definitely doesn't look like there's enough parking for all the folks there. But that surely doesn't mean you can just park in the fire lane!!😂
Cities can have codes regarding occupancy numbers, apartments have a hard time enforcing occupancy rules. If the lease is for two tenants and each have a vehicle, two parking stickers issued one for each vehicle. When another 4 or 5 individuals move into that apartment and aren’t on the lease-the parking stickers get passed around between all of them. The complex isn’t issuing another 4 or 5 parking stickers.
@@Brooke52528 what does she have to figure out the spots are numbered for unit if your not supposed to park there you get towed. now unless you tow to the police impound after multiple offences id agree to that
Parking in the fire lane is just stupid the building could burn down and people could be hurt or worse cause the firefighters can't get in there. Stay safe and God Bless
@@butterbeantx I lived in a townhome twenty years ago. Despite warnings, Booty Call Man ("BCM") routinely parked in front of my neighbor's garage (i.e. fire lane). Around 12 pm, a nearby resident called for help and upon arriving the firetruck honked twice, waited about 30 seconds and then plowed right into BCM's sports car. About five minutes later, a half-dressed, disheveled BCM emerged screaming about his car. Auto and homeowner's insurance didn't cover the damage.
They have at least 3 cars to that apartment, that's why he's been towed three times and parks in the fire lane but he blames the owners. (Sounds like at least 3 people live there. He, his brother, and sounds like his girl friend.)
Jeff can tell these folks over and over about the apartment manager's rules on parking and it goes in one ear and out the other. It will never end. You can say "they understand" but folks continue to do what they do. Of course it has to be a nightmare for folks who sign a lease and get the parking space as opposed to those who also sign a lease and then a few days later invite their entire extended family to move in with their vehicles. Again, it's neverending. Heck if I were Jeff and Kristen, I'd start bringing 2 tows with me when going to the complex. Anyway, keep yourselves safe EA Team, "we appreciate ya!"
the complex should have multiple tow companies all come at the same time at least once to give good fear then all the tow companies should not be available so as to have them without cars for at least 24 hrs a nice hard lesson for the illegals
@@donnadonna3024 Oof, started off with a good idea, then ended it with a horrible take. Plenty of born Americans doing shitty parking jobs across the country and the world too. The reason is management is not being punished for this parking, it doesn't affect their bottom line. They call for the tow, the owner pays. And the owner's already locked into some pay agreement, so if they're frustrated, they can't quiet leave right away. Renters thinking there's good parking is what entices them into the agreement, until they realize how screwed it actually is.
People just don’t care. When I was in high school one of my sister’s friends came over to visit, parked her car right in front of the fire hydrant in our yard. This was a suburban neighborhood, long driveways (we could easily park 10+ cars in our driveway), basically nobody but the occasional guest ever street parked because other houses also had ample driveway space, and on that completely empty road, this girl parked in front of the fire hydrant. Hundreds of linear feet of completely uncontested parking that wasn’t blocking a hydrant, parked in front of the hydrant anyway. If people will do stupid stuff like that for no reason at all, they’ll definitely do it if there is at least some reason, even if it’s a bad and irresponsible choice.
@@tnolan3176 I thought I saw several labeled guest and handicap spots shortly after she painted the lot. The problem is those who live there are parking their extra cars in the guest spots.
Probably the same trash that park in handicapped spots because they’re just running in quickly. Common sense ain’t common anymore. Why do they always get mad with Jeff when they should be calling their apartment managers😂
I just don’t get it! When will these residents of this apartment complex get their sh!t together?!?! Oye! That lady going on about the sticker on her vehicle was acting like a dang child. Also why do people think it’s totally okay to park in the fire lane?! I used to a volunteer firefighter and I lost count on how many times I’ve had to break windows on certain vehicles in order to gain access to the fire hydrant. You guys have such great patience when dealing with people such as the ones in these situations. Also I appreciate the team work with you and Kristen when working on any type of situational recoveries. Gosh I miss working in the towing and recovery industry. Te group with the white ram had a bag full of excuses to hand out to you as to why they should not have been towed and then bad mouthing the apartment complex ownership. It’s not the apartments owners responsibility after they have given out the parking stickers. I’m subscribed to your other RU-vid Channel. I absolutely love the extra content.
Exactly! She's trying to get it through your thick skulls that you cannot park in fire lanes or park in spots that aren't assigned to you. And apparently the dad has been towed at least 3 times, so he's one of the "thick skulled" people who just do not learn.
"Sorry. One room; one car." my thoughts exactly Jeeez I wonder how they would react living here in the UK. Population density USA 98 people per square mile Population density UK 740 people per square mile
@@tnolan3176 But it's the landlord's responsibility to know that. I'm a landlord and I know how many people live in each unit because I do random checks on the property. It's really not that difficult.
Weird how so many people say "Who called for the tow?" What does it matter who called, you're still parking illegally regardless of who called. It's almost like they're wanting to know who called so they can go assault them. You're the one who is in the wrong so just take the "L" and move on down the road.
Honestly all those morons that park illegally in that complex deserve to pay the fines. Whom in their right minds double park, park in a fire lane, and hash marks and expect to not be removed? I understand that complex parking is small and can only accommodate 1 vehicle per apt (which sucks for them, been there) but they can easily figure something out. Regardless great job guys!!
But they don't just accommodate one. Several people said they have two spots. People parked in the fire lane had stickers, so they're giving out stickers for multiple cars to one apartment. That manager is a joke.
A holes that park in fire lanes should also get a huge fine along with the tow. It’s a serious issue if emergency services can’t get through. I live at the end of a 600 ft so road that is 20 feet wide if that. And the city has posted fire lane no parking. But the 6 houses or so leading up to my house will park on the road. It isn’t allowed. Already called the fire marshall but for whatever reason my city doesn’t tow
It doesn't take many brain cells to know PARKING STICKER, YOUR NUMBERED PARKING SPOT, FIRE LANE PARKING ILLEGAL; my 4 year old great gran daughter knows that, YOU DON'T BLOCK CARS IN. Do these people have a driver license? From Tennessee U.S.A.? There needs to be a servere action taken by owner of units. Like Second tow eviction.
I do feel a bit for the lady. She parked in her own spot. I live in an area with numbered spots, you can park in your own spot without a sticker. It's not up to the apartment to call for that, its up to the numbered owner. Maybe there's a way to communicate for that or something? Not sure.
White truck dude apparently thinks its fine to park in the fire lane as long as you live there and the landlords need to " try harder". No, Mr. Entitlement...YOU need to try harder
If you are in a fire lane it does not matter if you have a sticker or not. You can not park there. You want the fire trucks to come and save you if your neighbors start a fire dont you?
Or call and request a replacement pass and let the landlord know she has a new car until she can get it stickered. Since she is parking in her assigned spot, problem solved.
Rule 1. Put your sticker on your car, park in your spot! Someone else in your spot, call to have them towed out of your spot, park in your spot! Simple. Rule 2. Got towed for parking someplace other than your spot? Then park in your spot! Someone in your spot? See Rule 1. It Ain't Rocket Science! Why would anyone live in a place with No Parking? It ain't like the jobs there pay any better than anywhere else in Tn! If you are broke and trying to work in G-burg, you are just setting yourself up for a beatdown.
I dont understand why its so hard for people to understand fire lane is not a spot for parking, if there is an emergency the emergency vehicle has no where to park.
I loved how the owner of the truck used the cones to corrden off his truck parked in the parking lane. Usually, they toss the cones somewhere else. Will these people never learn you can not park in a fire lane?
Handicapp...fire lane...parking permit or not...immediate tow!!!...i dont play around ...IN n OUT...im makeing a liveing as a tow driver..not a chamber of commerce
I agree but some cities don't allow ticketing on private property. I don't know what their particular laws are though. I'm guessing that at the minimum the owner of the building would be fined for having vehicles in the fire lane so if ticketing is not allowed, the owner/manager needs to evict the tenants who park in fire lanes.
Management needs to over-emphasize the parking situation to renters. The fact that these videos have existed for so long, and each one contains the same story, means management is just passing down the buck on some level. Granted, parking is just one area of the entire complex that management has to deal with, but I suspect not mentioning all the parking woes is a good way to entice unsuspecting potential renters.
As a former firefighter 🧑🏽🚒 these folks won’t learn until someone has a fire in their apartment and the Fire appreciate can’t get in the complex to put the fire out.
I have a question for you don't think you'll be able to answer because I've asked Park Rangers in years past, and they didn't know why, but with the amount of rain you all get in the mountains why can't the Park Rangers plant fruit trees and berries anything bears can eat so the never have to come down and hopefully the fruit would help on the times of year had a great aunt lived in grainger County tennessee and said she'd see bears there which to me is pretty far
Print out pictures of the car parked illegally and show it to them when they say they weren't parked in the fire lane or whatever BS excuse they give you. God round and round with these people.
Instead of asking the tow company a million questions why not ask who issues you your sticker? Learn the rules and if others are in your spot report it.
People moving there and living in the apartments is just over the top. I remember back before the mountains were a major vacation destination. Life was more simple
Why r these people so dense, that they park in a FIRE LANE!! If their apt was on fire don't u think they would be outraged if the the fire trucks couldn't reach the fire!!🤪
I don’t know why people explain to you why they park their vehicles illegally and get towed. It’s the management they need to talk to the management not you. You were called there from the management to pick up a car. Try to blame you.
Genuine question here:: when someone asks how much it is for the tow, why do you blank the amount out, so we can't hear it? 🤔 What's the reason behind that? Is it that you don't want us RU-vid viewers to know your rates? 🤔
she probably thinks of it as her space to manage whatever car she wants in there, and if someone else parks in it she'd call to have that car towed. Not saying that's the way it works just my best reconstruction of the thought process
I thought that was a goofy comment too. However Jeff has told people at those apartments to call him if a car was in "their spot". So she was probably saying that since I didn't complain about someone in my spot, it should not have been towed. But she's one of those people that is a pleasure to see get her car towed.😂
If all of the cars blocking people in had stickers, and all the cars in the spots but that one lady had stickers then it's pretty obvious the apartment management gave out more stickers than there are spots in the lot.
That much suck obviously there is not enough parking for everyone that lives there or this wouldn't be happening. My ass would move right out. Also this tow company is making a killing off these poor people. The price is so ridiculous that they cut that out if didn't everyone would extra talking bad on them in the comments. This happens in Philadelphia also. There's no way everyone isn't together the ones calling it in the way they make all the parking to not be enough then the towing. Just sad i feel. Everything is expensive enough.
Are the people that live there so dense in understanding. They obviously have a problem understanding the criteria. She may have to not only get you guys involved, but get the pd involved through ticketing while you guys remove the vehicles. Maybe that would grab attention of thise who refuse to follow protocol
More crazy apartment illegal parks. The guy in the Dodge truck made a good point about building apartments with very little parking. Great video guys, stay safe.
Did he make a good point though? That complex may have plenty of parking for the number of units. The fact is, most of those residents are immigrants because that's who tend to work all the service jobs in resort towns like Gatlinburg. And immigrants tend to put too many adults into one single apartment. I have a feeling that if the number of adults on the lease was the same as the number of people who are actually staying at the apartments, there would be more than enough parking spaces.
Does the owner print her notes/emails in Mandarin? In Russian? Do the tenants not understand simple English or are they just plain stupid? The lady with no sticker, how 8s that ANYONES fault other than hers?
@@bgeery You could probably just make the sticker number the same as the spot number. So if they want to swap stickers, you still only have the one spot. Plus if you have to rent a vehicle because your car is in the shop, you could move the sticker to the rental.
The people have their own rules or NO rules in their home country and they want to go by those rules here. They don’t understand that’s NOT our rules and they need to play by our rules to live in this country. Are any these rules in the bureau of motor vehicles test to get a drivers license? They all need to take an actual driving course and test.
@@ladonnagolden1582 Why are you only mentioning the immigrants when plenty of born Americans have been in these videos? Parking situation is screwed, people don't feel like dealing with management, and it's relatively low risk of getting into any sort of trouble, let alone towed. That's all it is.
Jeff needs a hotkey button. He can just push this says I'm sorry😂 because he has to apologize for someone else's negligence, stupidity, entitlement, should I go on?
