LOUD!!! We were testing all of the fire alarms to see if they would work on battery backup. The lights you see in this video are actually all of the built-in emergency lighting. We cut the power to the whole building to do this.
@@midnightclubshow4332 Thinking about it, while a Spectralert Advance puts out 116 decibels in a small room, how many decibels would be output if it's one of those big Simplex 4050 horns in a little room?
0:18 "I think we need to put a box over it or something" Fire Alarm response: How dare you say that to me! That's it, get out of the building! I'm now gonna activate and scream at these guys to get everyone outside!
Oh god this make me think of my work last Thursday where i was at work. Last Thursday they were testing the fire alarms at my work last week. They have a Notifer system with the same alarms that are in this video. And i work at a warehouse it is a business that we make and pick things for dental's. And man it was very loud in there when the alarms were sounding!!
Since that building has an emergency generator, wouldn't the FACP be on the circuit? That electrical room at 3:27 is awesome! Reminds me of my schools basement. Great video.
battery backup is designed for no load at 24 hrs, with that said if you were to be technical and accurate you would leave ac off for 24 hrs and run in alarm status for 15 mins. Or you could use a meter or you could run it in alarm condition for 30 mins with no ac voltage. And hopefully a customer as large as the one in your video is monitored. With that said it is my opinion that hrs in alarm status is overkill.
I wonder if that store now has the system sensor L series store had Spector alert advances and may still have them. But I’ve noticed in some buildings that the alarms switched from specter alert advances to the System sensor L series. I am guessing that’s because they are quieter.
that small room ser safety where you set off the fire alarm why are there two horn strobes right next to each other a ceiling mount and a horn strobe are they tryin to make people go death please explain thanks vinnie
How come @ 2:00 I see lights in the display case on if its just emergency lighting and what would be considered essential / life safety devices powered... I would not think display case lighting could be considered part of an emergency power / lighting system, OR is the backup power system designed to supply other loads like heating and refrigeration to prevent product loss in an extended outage?
A hotel I stayed at had a SpectrAlert Advance outdoor horn strobe in the indoor pool area. At least it stayed quiet while I was there. Edit" the rest of the system in the hotel itself was System Sensor L Series Horn Strobes.
