They also fixed the flame throw on the double two handed axe! Cerim was simply throwing an invisible boomerang instead of the axe

Hey, Brian! I'm really excited to test out these many new additions to the item system. Try before you buy is cool, but I'm actually really excited for the new inventory screen comparison window, and the miscellaneous tab. The Misc tab and changes to how Fallen Embers work/what they're used for will probably completely change up the game's economy the most. I'm also surprised at how many entities got better simulated physics. I guess with all the performance enhancements, they found the headway to add in more effects on entities where they could

All changes and QoL changes are awesome and I love those changes. Would have loved to actually get some „new content“ like maybe another boss, maybe some caves or atleast open up the 2 areas in Nameless pass we already know. But that was pretty unlikely. Will maybe try out the new update for a few hours, but nothing to bring me back „playing every day“ again yet.

They had to make these changes first, because they are the base. New content will feel a lot better with these in place.

they already have a roadmap, apparently the first big update is supposed to be adding multiplayer, then a new story update later on. I think both should come out before 2025

They claim this game is going to be live for 10 years. They are just ironing out the kinks and polishing. It’ll be a full experience I’m sure within the first year of release

haven’t dove into the game i had it for like a month already just tested the performance at first , wont get to into it but came back today to test the new update and its a lot better with the performance , this game will release in a good goood spot, i hope they give us Early access players something for us (cosmetics!!!!!)

Definitely noticing a lower focus regeneration, I have to be a bit more tactical in my focus usage, or at least use focus potions more often. Some interesting new enchants, like health% on dodge, or %damage when at full focus. I wonder if a build that doesn't use focus is viable.

@@akarna69 Ahh damn, sorry to hear. I booted it up with DLSS and was able to get about a 30+ fps boost so far. Tested in town and other high traffic areas.

Well, I bought a steam deck after much consideration, it arrives today and I'm excited to try the new optimizations. Kind of odd to use the fallen embers for respec, I'll likely just keep making new characters to try new builds. I like that it's an option and that it is individual stats per ember, so I think it will be great for minor changes, but 90 embers for a full stat dump is quite pricy! Better than D4? 😂 It's got 15 hours of solid content then dries up. The loot doesn't compare to D4s loot reborn rework. You must be joking haha.

Yeah D4 is so much better now I only played to level 56 last season I'm already level 96 this season and plan on playing for a few more weeks. I haven't touched this game since they nerfed my build and with the way its going with them leaning into making everything a big time sink I dunno if I will. I hate games that make you do a bunch of grinds you don't want to do. It's as bad as the reputation grind in d4 to get paragon points so stupid.

it’s early access , the game is going to build as it gets closer to release , and i’m sure there’s already a bunch of content that we won’t see at all into official launch , for now it would be mainly performance base , and general game play , progression systems and such

Nerfing a play style is a thing that kill my absolute interest in this game. At first I was in love with this game then the nerf mind set of the dev ruined my fun I haven't played it since hot fix 6

This is exactly how I feel they nerfed my build completely and the .make respect ridiculous. They should at least put a rare item for complete respect. Then I have to go upgrade new stuff and if this is gonna be a regular thing everytime you find a op build I don't wanna plsy.

@@rlcmza6705 that's how every game does and should do it. It is cool to have a bunch of really strong options to play around with but if certain mechanics are 10x better and stronger than almost every other mechanic then it is just bad for the game. Dont know about focus regen stuff but weapon throw was OP AF.. it was fun to play it but felt so cheesy to stun the Echo Knight every 2 hits.

I hope they fixed everytime you die the durability goes down. Cause if you arent near someone to repair it and you constantly die youre screwed and have to start a new playthrough. That was my beef with it. The beginning was brutal. Hope its changed.

I must say I'm a bit let down by the reduced damage to enemies. I'm at Max HP with all weapons enchanted and runed, but enemies lose health slower than before the patch.

Huge patch, addresses many core issues, now after this they can start rolling out new content. DLSS is huge for performance. Am I the only one who struggles to find differences between let's say Quality and Best Quality?

There will always be people complaining. I think embers is a nice way to do it. If a person actively plays the game they gonna have a ton of those then can respec.

I hate early access it just kills the hype. I only want to see games I can fully play not something I have to wait an entire year for it to actually launch. I’m on console so I couldn’t get early access even if I wanted to. It also would be at risk of being forgotten about if it takes that long to fully release how many other games are going to come out in the meantime ? Those other games are going to take peoples time so then when your early access game finally comes out they are going to be too busy playing other games. Last Epoch and V Rising are killing me right now I really want to play but they were in beta testing for years finally launch and have no plans on releasing for Xbox atleast not any time soon.

The Respec cost is fine with embers, HOWEVER I´d like to have guaranteed ember drops from Echo Knight or the reward chests then.

A new area or map can take weeks or months of work. It is an early access and this game will be finished in 1-2 years of work

@@ratonball this game won’t be finished in 1-2 years of work. In 1-2 year we will have a 1.0 version which is still only a small part of the game, only the first island/continent will be 1.0

This patch has tanked performance sadly for me. I get constant lag when anything is happening on screen now. :( I feel like just uninstalling and letting it cook for a year or so and then see what the game has become at that point. I have an i9-13900F, 32GB DDR5 RAM, RTX4070 (playing on a 27" 1440p 240Hz OLED monitor) btw. I love the look and overall feel of the game. I also enjoy the combat for the most part. There are some things I don't care for, but not really any dealbreakers and I think they have a lot planned that will improve some of those issues. I am looking forward to more questlines and would prefer weapons being "found" by exploring and completing quests and less rng. But it's a great game with lots of potential. Looking forward to seeing what it becomes. Nice job on your content as well, keep it up! :)

I wonder if something else is going on behind the scenes with your computer, because you've clearly got a good setup, and I run on less locally (I also play on GFN which is a 4080 gpu) and it runs just fine.
