I pull the roof down and dial the radio into channel 289 with a 1966 Mustang GT Convertible. One man has finally achieved his dream after waiting 45 long years to own his dream cars and his name is Neville Richards.
At Master of Machines, we love cars, in fact, we love anything with wheels or an engine, from American Muscle Cars to Australian Muscle Cars, Race Cars and Classic Cars of all kinds and even Barn Finds. If it's fast, powerful, restored or hidden away in hibernation then we'll cover it, and in most cases, we'll even drive them!

Yeah, the first generation mustangs are definitely my favorites, especially the fastbacks and convertibles with the 289 V8 and especially in GT trim!

Glenn, love your RU-vid videos and never miss the opportunity to watch and enjoy. What's more, I love the coverage of Mustangs you do from time to time. I am driving my second Mustang which is a 2019 Bullitt Mustang which, as you so accurately say, is living the dream of owning an iconic Ford Mustang. Love your work and well done.

Absolutely love the show, great host, great style that's so engaging and personable. Any chance of seeing a Cortina in future episodes? As you've worked out I love them! (have a 75 TD with a 250). Love TE's too keep up the awesome work 👏

Thanks so much! That's a great idea! I really like the early Cortina's such as the TD & TE's.

When i was a 17 yr old apprentice electrician my boss was the president of the local mustang club, one day he said he wanted me to take one of his stangs to the mechanic and gave me the keys, it was a 289 baby blue 66 convertible manual and I remember doing pulls in this v8 I thought i was the king of the road

The Stang, Lee Iocca’s rescue car for Ford, and a dream car for those who lived the 60’s and 70’s with a licence in their wallet!!!

It appears, Everitt, that y'all down under get to enjoy our Muscle Cars more than we get to enjoy the Australian Muscle Cars.

Yes, we have a huge American car culture down here and have had for many years.

@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines I looked up some Aussie Muscle Cars on a website that sells them down there. I can’t afford any of our 60s and 70s Muscle Cars. So, I know I can’t afford anything down there!

Very nice review of two VERY nice early Mustangs! Every time I see you test drive a car you seem to favor back roads (probably fewer cops, right? 😄). Anyway, I can't help but notice how similar the landscape is to where I live in Alabama, US. Keep up the great work! Love your channel! 👍

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, less trouble and I do tend to like the better landscape too. :-)

I have the same car but with a black top and black interior. I get tired of people asking how much will I sell it for when there's no for sale sign on it. I say make an offer I can't refuse

Great ep, love the mustangs. Is it just me or is there some camber happening on the wheels?

64.5 aussie delivery gt rh drive is that a real thing Glen ?

I know they did a batch of brand new RHD early cars here for Aus in the day. I'm not sure on the GT element though, or even if the 64 1/2 had the GT pack as an option on the early cars or not?. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this for us.

@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines the story I heard is that Ford wanted one Mustang in each Australian Ford dealer. Largely to get people wanting the future model XR Falcon, Mustang like styling. Was no where near as simple to make in RHD as Ford US assured them. So no more local Mustangs. Saw the Navy Minister drive one to a ship launch when new. So likely you needed some profile to get one. All those I saw were notchbacks.
