The rumbles of a possible old AOTC mount being added to the Trading Post stirred up some big discussion this week before Blizzard debunked the rumour with a blue post. Also, the Love Witch set for the February Trading Post and where is the Dragonflight expansion meta achievement? This show includes discussion of the WoW news of the week and answering questions. Yeah, the flightstone cap is WAY too low and the grind to get them is way too time intensive for multiple toons to have separate caches. The biggest problem with the flightstone gear vendor isn't the 1K rating requirement, though. The problem is the cost required to get a piece of gear for A COMPLETELY RANDOM SLOT. It makes it impossible to fill in holes in an alt's gear and prohibitively expensive to gear up one from scratch. Using it just feels bad, even when you are spending excess stones that would otherwise be wasted due to the cap.

For the “DF Veilstrider” - I would encourage people to do the ‘Neltharion’s Legacy’ meta achievement. This covers a lot of content and will likely be required. Also the Forbidden Reach meta achievement, and the ‘Chasing Storms’ meta achievement (doing every variant of storm in all 4 DF zones). If you have these, then I’m pretty confident you’ll be very close to achieving the Veilstrider if/when it is announced, and will be almost complete. If you are really worried about missing this, then do the Niffenseeker meta achievement. The hardest achievement requires doing 50 digs. This is not account-wide progress, and you can only do 3 digs/week. Unlikely to be required, but if it is, it’s gonna be the toughest one to get done quickly. Do it on whichever character has the furthest progress.

As a new player (started this past June) I missed out on that mount of course. And yeah, maybe it should stay a relic of the past. Maybe they could do a recolor or a reskin with a different name? I don't know. I'm pretty happy with the mounts I am getting, So I don't really want to rain on someone's old achievements like that.

A Dragonflight Veilstrider would be extremely easier than how much stuff you had to do for Veilstrider IMO. So much so as that I would not figure there would be a meta achievement for it this expansion.

Today's hair is amazing! I've been extremely busy IRL for a while, so I'm seeing it for the first time even if it made its debut earlier! The lighter colour of the fringes vs to the ends getting comparatively darker looks amazing! (I'm sure you already know, but still!) Well the WOW news and stuff is nice as well :)) Now if you excuse me I'll go eat marshmallows and drink strawberry milkshake for no apparent reason.

I've never read The Wheel of Time series, but I used to, before I went mostly blind, be somewhat of a speed reader. In one shift that my security job I was actually able to read three of the four Twilight books, and I spent what are my next shift starting and finishing the fourth book. So if I could still do it I'd probably have all 14 books in The Wheel of Time series done in about a week and a half if I just sat there and read them, if I didn't sleep, maybe 2 days LOL

Honestly, this. It's not like it's removing anyone's experience or achievement! Who does it hurt!? The raiders still have the fond memories and the achievement AND the mount. What are they losing out on??

My biggest complaint about crests is that too many are required for higher upgrades. I.e., I can upgrade to about 5/8 just using world-drop crests. But to get 8/8, you have to have crests that come from M+ or Raids. So, someone like me, who is almost strictly doing world content (no M+ or raiding), is limited to how much upgrading they can do to their gear. It sucks.

i know its not what anyone who makes this argument wants to hear but upgrade level is meant to correlate with difficulty of content. so if youre someone who doesnt raid or m+, do you need to upgrade your gear beyond 5/8 champion or whatever to do the content you do? i get the desire to continue to progress your character power. but thats why they put the slow crest trade-up system in so you can get that trickle of upgrading beyond the level of content you do. now, is that slow trade-up system too slow/expensive? maybe. and id also join people calling for more challenging solo/world content to justify awarding higher levels of gear. but for now its piss easy and the ilvl youre able to obtain from purely world content kinda reflects that.

@@downbad_comrade As another mainly solo content player, i think the system is a little bit off too. Having the higher difficulty raids and dungeons be there for endgame is great. The level of entry required to do them is just too high, a solo player with a low item level has no chance in raids and starting m+ on your own isnt a fun experience. Wow needs better entry into the endgame content for the newer players. Whether thats by introducing a soloable form of endgame content or what idk

It didnt bother them to put the recruit a friend mount on there which im fine with. I still have the achievement and the mount is no worry to me so why not.

I never get this argument, recruit a friend mounts just cost money, they require no actual gameplay of any kind. (Technically you can buy them through gold but it's far from the intended method). It's in no way similar to skill mounts, they are just glorified store mounts. That being said, I do think most skill mounts should actually come back, but it should come from actual gameplay activities at a similar challenge level, and not the trading post.

@SolDBD They are similar in unavailability, and please, what skill did the players dead on the floor since phase 1 of the fight have? Other than being at the right time/place to be carried by the raid group. Or the people who can buy boosts (around 100k for last bosses in dragonflight, which is pretty low).

@@alexandruv.3390 Just because you can buy a boost doesn't mean everyone does that, there's still a lot of players out there progressing through heroic normally. It's not about how much skill it takes, it's a comparison of intended source. One is intended to be achieved through playing the game at a certain level and one was intended to be obtained through making others spend real money on the game. Again, if you say it doesn't take much skill, that's fine - so make them available again through a similar activity that takes just as much skill. I'm not against bringing them back, I just think the trading post isn't the right place for what are intended to be skill mounts.

You got the joy of earning something hard to get, good for you, now let other people get the joy of having a complete collection of stuff they will never use. @@alexandruv.3390 You clearly haven't read my comment if that's your reply, I clearly said I'm not against bringing it back, just bring it back in a meaningful way and not a monthly login reward. Others are allowed to have it, hell I don't even care how many people have it. But when these rewards were given out there was a clear promise behind it, do it now or you won't be able to get it ever again. If they want to change on that going forward, entirely fair. If they want to retroactively change that it breaks player trust and in my opinion the least they could do is make it obtainable through a similar level of challenge to still kind of honor the promise made. If you believe every item in the game should just be handed to you through a monthly login reward, I think an MMO might not be the right game for you. Things like prestige, rng and putting effort into collecting things are apart of an MMO, every MMO out there has it, and WoW will continue to have it.

I want the Pandaria Phoenix mounts to be available again. Challenge mode dungeons became M+ in later expansions, so it would be cool to have some sort of way to earn the phoenix mounts with M+

Question: Any news on the Nightelfbow transmog that was free for pick up in Bel"meth at Arelithrien Lodge not showing for some accounts ? I've tried searching for information and most people just made trial chraracters for it to appear . I have tried this many times on both factions and still no bow. Am I doing soemthing wrong?

Personally I think all challenges rating mounts / cosmetics should be obtainable at a vendor similar to the pvp saddle for rated pvping. If it's KSM make it so achieving KSM gives you a currency to spend at said vendor which has all of the challenge rating cosmetic bs. This is such a non issue

Maybe have KSM reward the current season's and KSH give you a saddle? That way you can technically eventually catch up and not be forced to miss out on the current season's mount just to get an old one.

I would love for the old mounts to be available to other players - mounts like this aren't that amazing and look very basic, this one can only be used in ground mount areas which are next to non existent in WoW these days. They're not super valuable or anything so why not? I have this mount and it's not one of my favourites, I for one would love to be able to get the old legion mage tower appearances for my weapons, they would've been great to bring back, along with challenge mode gear from WoD.

I think they should add AotC mounts and I already have quite a few of them. WoD is 10 years old by now, people had their exclusivity, had their time to brag, but does it really ruin anybody's fun if they would be available again? I don't think so. And yeah, why not make them expensive to keep some exclusivity?

I feel like I'm a bit inbetween the argument on skill mounts here, I think it would be fine for them to return, but I also think the trading post is one of the worst places for it. I think the mage tower solution would work well, not in the sense of having recoloured versions, but more in the sense of having challenging activities at a similar level used for rewards.

No mythic+ rating is needed for your alts! My main was able to send over crates to my alts with no rating :) I believe it’s 441 gear too, random gear at that so I got some pieces I already had higher ilvls for.

Blizzard puts caps on everything, no discernible thought process involved. Example: The beers you get once per year from the monthly brew club are capped at 24. So… It’s ok that someone collect 24 years worth of a brew but not 25? That had to be forcibly stopped with a hard cap? Just… Why?

The Trading Post this month is excellent with lots of fun mogs and a MOUNT FOR 100 TENDERS?! And not some weird-moving ugly monstrosity but a tiny TWO SEATER rocket?? Be still my heart, pun intended. Also a toy for only ten tenders (even if it's an inconvenient one since it freezes you lol). The completion set reward is incredible too!! Blizz did a great job this month.

Personally I wouldn't mind if these mounts were to come back as I'm not a fan of fomo systems, but I think it would make more sense to first return to the game the gear sets that were removed over the years including the pvp sets, most of them are just re colors of already existing one so I don't see what would be the problem to bring them back.

Question : As someone who LOVES the Trading Post, but can never have enough Tender on hand to get the things I want, do you think Blizzard would make it so we can actually EARN Tender in-game in the future -- such as quest rewards, dailies, or even as raid loot/rewards -- at some point in the future? I hate having to pick and choose between items, then having to wait for "X" amount of time for the things I missed to come back around.

You don't need to buy everything on the TP every month, and things on there always rotate back in, so just be patient, and/or be more thrifty with your tendies! There's no fomo, since it all comes back anyways. I always have extras left over!

i'm on the fence about what mounts go in the traders post. like, if i paid real money for a mount, i dont want to see it in the post as well as other exclusive mounts, like the recruiter friend mounts. they lose their specialness if everyone can get it. i agree though, if they recolor it, then its ok.

the only skill based thing in this game is PvP and even saying that is a bit of a stretch in itself. imo bring back all the old stuff let everyone get it, if people wanna bitch and cry saying its going to make the mounts mean nothing well i have two things to say to that. one how many times have they really used that mount and 2nd they still have the achievement get over yourself.

@miraclo3, how good do you have to get to travel in time and get stuff from when you didn't play which was removed?

@@alexandruv.3390 the point of Legacy skill based mounts is to show off how much dedication you had to the game for a long period of time. If you can just obtain skill-based mounts for free and then it puts absolutely no incentive forward to get good at the game and Achieve these Feats of Strength during the time that they are available. There are many mounts that I truly desire to have but I wasn't good enough of a player at the time to get it so I didn't deserve it. It just made me want to try harder and get better.

@miraclo3 A) having something for years until they are widely released isn't enough incentive ? Might as well go and kill transmog, you didn't earn it when it was current you don't deserve to wear it years later, why would mounts be different B) maybe content should be done for fun, not bribes...sorry incentives C) how many of those unique hard to get mounts do you actually see around? Most people have dumped those for higher quality looking mounts years ago, or AFK on dragonriding mounts
