😬☝Their double standards were unacceptable when it started with Ferguson, then it became an insult with Cummings & finally a slap in the face with Handcock! Now we know that they were all breaking the rules & laughing at our gullibility & naivety! Shall we continue to listen to these self centered & out of touch snobs?
The accusation isn't that the Conservatives had a party. The accusation is that the civil service had a party at Downing Street. I think it's fair to say that most civil servants are either Lib Dems or Greens so it's not really a problem for the Conservative Party It's a problem for the civil service.

The way she sniggers about it and laps up the attention like a child whilst people were dying. These people aren't fit to govern. They're abhorrent, disgusting.
@@j7ech402 Y'know, a couple of years back, Johnson would be would be given the benefit of the doubt on that matter. Since his election, he's just shown himself, at every turn, to be an unprincipled, useless, lying clown. With, sadly, a great deal of blood on his hands. So, no, not better than Corbyn - that one went out of date a long while ago.
@@j7ech402 At least Corbyn genuinely cares, even if he is a bit deluded at times. Do you seriously think Boris cares about making the UK better? He's a self serving git. Always has been, always will be! Not to mention a classless buffoon, that is a complete embarrassment to the UK. Corbyn would have been far from perfect, but I fail to see how he would have been worse than this absolutely shambolic and scandelous government. These guys are responsible for 1000s of deaths whilst lining their mates pockets (at our expense) and breaking the rules that they set for everyone else. They should be in jail!
I wonder how those that received heavy fines after gatherings feel now....not to mention all those who didn't say goodbye to loved ones. I could never vote for these arrogant cynical people.
@@shortscenes9338 obviously voting is relevant. If this country didn’t vote for its leaders it wouldn’t be a democratic society. Voting picks our prime minister and politicians. How is it not relevant?
@@flowerchickenhairsparkle6779 You pick ventriloquist dummies. No offence meant to you. You are obviously a deep-level normie. (Unless you are being ironic.)
I wasn’t depressed I had a lovely time that Christmas and watched a film called The King’s Speech. It was brilliant, it’s all about a king who has a stutter who actually existed and was helped to speak for his country. It’s very touching and moving and I recommend you watch it. Maybe it’ll help you get through another Christmas in lockdown, if there is one.
They're laughing because whenever they say something stupid the public believe them. So you know how people I've seen wear masks since last week its ridiculous
Bozo will waffle on about something ridiculous to distract the idiot public, and all will be forgotten and forgiven in a week's time. The government allowed Cummings to flaunt his own rules, they considered Hancock's affair "case closed", forgave Patel for breaking ministerial code, the corruption is off the scale. And the worst part is, people still follow and support these criminals.
Excited? They only need to convince their base, so they can spin this how they please - it isn't difficult to con their sub-iq voters. Those who will be disgusted are average, and above average iq, citizens who wouldn't vote Tory ever.
If the Met Police do not throw the book at the Tories over this then the British people had better get the Tories out now! First we have Dominic Cummings and now this nonsense yet not one Tory prosecuted due to blatant corruption in the establishment!
It’s not just torie mp’s who have broke the rules they are all at it Professor Neil fegrguson Dominic Cummings Mp Margaret ferrier Stanley Johnson Nicola sturgeon Robert jenrick Stephen kinnock Dara calleary Dr Catherine calderwood Barack Obama And the list goes on and on They are just human beings like the rest of us and 99% of us have broken one of these if not all the rules put in place It’s time we simply ditch all this nonsense and get back to normal life Influenza kills 100,000’s of people a year and we just get on with it….this COVID is really no different and we have to just live with it We’ve done lockdowns, social distancing, masks and vaccines and we’re still not really any further forward It’s time to accept that just like some people who catch the flu will die that some people who catch COVID will die….sorry to be so blunt but that’s the reality and the sooner we accept that the better for the whole world
A cheese and wine party 🎉 lot of giggles coming from the spokesperson. I suspect there was something a bit stronger being lined up on the coffee table given the drug problem in Westminster.
Precisely. Anybody who thinks politicians and lockdown-zealot television presenters have ever actually followed their own lockdown rules is living in cloud cuckoo land.
Remember, this video was recorded on the 20th December _2020_ and as such is proof that the party is real.... proves that the _ENTIRE_ government is lying to the British public.
Of course she's laughing shes in on the joke she knows what's really going on. It's been a lie all this time got people wearing masks again for no reason
I said the same a few days ago! Vote of no confidence, fire the lot and bring in the post man, the bin men, the overlooked of society to run this country and humanity shall be restored! These relatives/ cousins and ancestors by bloodlines are only determined to mock and keep modern day slavery going while filling their bellys!.
@@godssplendor7779 That's a terrible idea. What does a binman know about economics or the military? The overlooked of society would he even worse, limited literacy and barely any world knowledge of global threats to this country. We just need a clear out of the privately educated and career politicians, including and especially the Lord's.
@@godssplendor7779 fantastic idea. There are plenty of competent people in this country - or at least there used to be. There are older people who could be trusted. But this would take people being responsible, ungluing from screens, rejecting laziness and getting their arses in gear.
As is the peoples will. All people will take from this is that some random bitch found it funny that she got away with breaking a government commandment for a year. They will *not* question why they agreed to destroying themselves and society for double that length of time.
@Rachel James I agree, but that's too much of a low level view of what's going on. The level of Tyranny being rolled out across the Western world, should have folks of left and right persuasion looking at each other and thinking "neither of us wants that"
@Rachel James what an absolutely pathetic argument. So putting in measures that try and bring down death rates is authoritarian because it inconveniences you? Your personal freedom to go into a supermarket and infect a vulnerable person is more important than their life? Bunch of absolute children. I'm glad someone with your attitudes and logic hates what I believe in. Thats a win in my book. Mug.
@Rachel James Even if you don't fall ill, you could still become a carrier of the disease Do you want to end up infecting people in care homes because you don't like wearing a mask?
How can a government treat the people with such disrespect that they make up stories behind-the-scenes like this is one big drama people dying in hospitals and they’re laughing and joking about cheese working out how to lie about it after ...disgusting
It's a practise run through of questions she might be asked during a press conference. Everyone there is employed by the prime minister, hence they're all pissing themselves at how great they are.
Its a trial run. Those aren’t reporters she’s with so it was a very informal affair, which in a way makes it worse because they’ve inadvertently admitted there was a party!
It's very hard to take the threat of covid seriously whilst the people enforcing these rules don't seem to give 2 💩's.. what happened to stay home save lives on December 18th then!?
Hahaha! I don't really care if he did or did not have a Xmas party, I did not abide by the rules 100% of the time and so did many other people. He is doing a satisfactory job and would like him to continue
@@AppleUK2000 yeah but when your in a position of authority and arresting people for not following the rules while you are having a social event that wasn’t socially distanced then you tell me if that’s acceptable.
I’m middle management working in retail, line managing about 20 characters, my crew put this lot to shame when it comes to professionalism, they stepped up and we got through it, no Christmas party for them.
He didn't sack him for kissing, he sacked him for getting caught kissing. 2 different things entirely. Boris probably still watches the video from that office.
he didnt though did he? tried to BS his way out of it. When it looked like it wasnt going to wash he ushered hancock off camera for a few months til the smoke blew over.
Enjoy your 4 trillion £ share of the NATIONAL debt. You currently get free prescriptions on the NHS when here in England I have to pay for a medication I would die without. Please please vote to leave. Watching the fall out will be absolutely hysterical
Don’t your youngsters get free uni too………good luck with funding yourselves post split…….maybe there should be an English referendum to see how many of us want you lot to remain in the UK
These people denied some their last moments with their loved ones while partying and laughing in everyone's faces. If this doesn't end this corrupt party then nothing will.
If Boris thinks that by allowing this to go public in the hope of calls for his resignation will help him escape the upcoming Nuremberg Trials 2.0, he can think again....
Oh there’s going to be trials alright and a big chunk of the cabinet will soon be off to jail along with Cummings and Cain. Maybe even before Christmas. Ho ho ho.
It's like a clip from a blooper reel from an episode of The Office. Almost like everything we see is a fabricated performance to give the impression that the clowns in charge are actually professional and competent enough to be in these positions of power.
So many people were unable to spend last moments with loved ones as we were all locked down. The government holds us plebs in complete and utter contempt.
@@NoName-jq7tj Agreed - though the gov will be relying on that weak Opposition's votes to pass the new necessary Covid legislation coming down the line. And THAT fact indicates a very weak government ad well as a weak Opposition.
Ohh sooo so funny people will never get that time back with their families. Some people didn't have their last Christmas with their loved one's, ohh so funny hahah. These politicians need locking up!!
Of all the reasons this government’s should be held accountable for the media chooses a party. What about PPE contracts, what about missing COBRA meetings, what about eye tests, what about Track & Trace apps, what about late lockdown measures and so on and so on…
Hang on. If this was filmed on 22nd December 2020 last year, why is it in the Government’s new briefing room? Their new room was unveiled in the press on 15th March 2021?
@@wakey87 Neolib Labour anyway... The UK needs Jeremy Corbyn or someone like him. Anyway, irrelevant really... 'new labour' will be in next time under Starmer. It's only going to get worse for the prols and they will end up voting for anything to get shot of the tories... and it's a two party system..
People are just stubborn. If this combined with ALL the blunders of this government isn't bad enough for you to pick something else that looks no where near as bad, then I think that's a you issue, not the opposition.
0:18 I'm a sound engineer and I can pick out; "just be careful no one finds out". its one of three voices we can hear, and the quietest so its buried. Anyone else hear it? Full transcript of the moment:- Allegra Stratton: Whats the answer? Voice 1: I don't know I... D- Voice 2: -It wasn't a party, it was cheese and wine... Voice 3: -just be careful no one finds out.
I can hear: "Just be clear it's not (then inaudible)." But these people are a bunch of nobodies, really. The power lies elsewhere. Let Stratton et al not act as a dogwhistle.
I can definitely hear it, clearly. It's the third male voice, and it's even more nasally than the rest. Increase sibillance on the EQ, and put it through an HP filter, and everyone will be able to hear it.
I usually occupy 'the opposite' to the Guardian, but on this I am with you. Do as I say, not as I do. Why should anyone every pay any attention to their rules ever again after this? If they try to cancel christmas this year again I won't be obeying, knowing that these rich snobs won't be either. If the government - with all the facts (including the ones the public aren't aware of) - aren't scared then niether am I.
Well if BoJo the clown has his way there will be no1 to answer to. Ministers will be above the law thanks to the creation of new powers that frees them of judicial review and so will be free to do whatever the hell they like. So this sort of “do as I say not as do” baloney will carry on indefinitely, all he has to say is “I’m satisfied no rules were broken” and that will be that. He’s already making moves to rig the system to stay in power indefinitely and has taken steps to remove our rights to protest. It’s frightening that the general populace seem to be sleep walking in a quasi dictatorship with only a mild hint of opposition.
If you like this, you’ll really like the video of Austrias government ball dancing to “we got the power” while enforcing the worlds strictest lockdowns on everyone (no one allowed to leave their house).
How can one laugh like that at the elm of power when people were at home obeying government directives supposed to sort out the pandemic - leave alone those at home grieving for their lost ones. This party and its appalling, disgraceful behaviour is beyond comprehension. Hope they will never, ever return to power.
This was December 2020? Correct me: but wasn't the podium setup etc. different this time last year? Didn't this podium setup, with the blue background, happen after December 2020?
"This clip is just a rehearsal of the daily journalist - Downing Street press conference in a newly refurbished communication room which never materialized."
From some quick research - it looks like that press room was not completed until March 2021. Looking back at live press conferences from the old press room they are indeed in the old style room (with the wooden background). The dates do not match up.
