Being an owner of Honda City, I would say that the only downside of sedan is its ground clearance and now that vw and skoda have addressed that issue. I see no point in shying away from a buying a sedan. I have seen both virtus and slavia on road, they look solid and have great road presence. Good buy I would say.

Skoda will gain a lot in India if they continue this way and do not drop the ball. I have met so many Skoda owners who buy and then stick to Skoda brand. Yeti being by far the best SUV

The problem with sedans, compared to SUVs is not low ground clearance but the overhangs front and back which touch the ground at steep ramps and rough roads.

I also fall into a very happy category. I bought a skoda slavia 1.0AT, and I am in love with the car. I also consulted motoroctane and they cleared all my doubts. Prons - Super smooth engine, classy looks, spacious cabin, segment leading boot space, SUV like ground clearance . The only concern/issue would be its AC, it could have been better.

The Interiors of Volkswagen, Skoda, Jeep are simple yet look very premium. Skoda "Simply Clever".❤️

That settles it . Slavia it is for my family use. Have used a Ritz Petrol for last 10+ years , driven it for 160000 kms ++ , with one battery ,one tyre set ,one clutch plate change . My use is in the Mumbai Pune Nashik triangle mostly with occasional trips yo Gujarat ,Konkan thrown in. Still get 19-20kms/ litre . Given my use a Slavia 1.0 litre turbo Petrol manual will just suit me fine .

Yes definitely visibility through A pillars in sedans or any long nose vehicle takes time to adjust. I learned to drive in our old SX4 and it took some time for me to adjust. A-pillar can create a big blind spot. But I loved the car. I still miss the engine coming to Punch as my daily driver.

That river crossing part was literally an OMG moment Didn't expect that from any sedan

The feature I miss the most is auto hold! Only reason I considered Astor but then finally settled for Kushaq 1.5 Monte Carlo. The power, control, drive quality is unbeatable

These sedans are much practical in terms of safety , ground clearance, performance . So I purchased Slavia 1.5 TSI with DSG gear box , deep black elegance edition on 28/1/24. I love Skoda .

I bought Slavia Style 1AT on 1st Feb 2023.. test drive both AT 1.5 and 1 turbo.. 1 AT turbo has instant pickup in city compared to 1.5 AT which lags for 2 secs till the turbo shoots in.. highways 1.5AT will definitely have a better throttle response.. Driving 1 AT STYLE from Mumbai to Goa and then Goa to kolhapur to Mumbai was super fun.. and there was no body ache or fatigue either to front seats or rear passengers.. throttle is pretty good when you shift to S mode and subtract triptronic pedal shifter by 1 gear.. overall fun to drive got a mileage of 17 kmpl on highways with most of times speed range from 90 to 110 kmph and in city it hovers around 9 to 13 kmpl depends on traffic. AC could have been better as sometimes it takes its own sweet time to cool down the cabin.. stability is good too.. steering is lighter.. i guess this time skoda concentrated more on comfort dynamics of the car..

I own slavia 1ltr manual. Wow what a pickup and engine it has tremendous stability and control over high speeds also power brakes are effective.

I own Ambition1.0 AT from mid Jan as my first car. Last weekend I did 870km in one go with only driven by me. Never felt tired and was comfortable in entire journey.

I bought Slavia Ambition Model 1.0 litre on May 2022 . This is one of the practical sedans in indian market right now and love its driving dynamics and built quality is SKODA Class.

7-8 kmpl in city traffic is ultra poor fuel efficiency for a 1.5 litre car. For expressways this is definitely a great choice. People with two cars in their garages can afford one. This not like a jack of all trades or even some trades.

Sedans are actually much better than SUV's in many criteria! my dad's fluence is also a capable offroader even though it is a comfortable d segment sedan.

VK and Skoda have their own charm, i say I'd you can afford a medium range luxury car then these cars deliver to the full potential. Great engines and 5 star safety for adults and children. A bargain.

I own 2023 Slavia AT 1.0L Style varient. It gives me 12 Kmpl in City and 19 Kmpl on highways. I think that is fantastic for a car who is built to perform 200 Kmph top speed. For haters : Just as a high-end wrist watch reveals your attention to detail, a premium car reflects your discerning eye for quality." Pros : Head turner [ Blue color ] , Drivers car, Great Highway stability, Silent gear shifts, Huge boot space, No body Roll, Adequete milage, Music quality is good, Ventilated seats is such a savior on long drives, Wireless mobile charging pad, Impressive driver display console. Cons : 2023 Models lacks wireless Android/Apple car play, Hard suspension is a cringe on lower speeds [No issue when 3/4 people onboard], Missint front sensors or 360 degree view camera, Auto Window roll down available only for driver despite Top model.

Believe it or Not but I have done Manali-Leh-Srinagar circuit with 1.0 Slavia with 4 adults and luggage. It never scraped from the bottom throughout the trip.

I am a Honda City 5th gen owner & it's giving around 13kmpl in city drive & i have not taken it to Highway yet only 3500km run since purchasing in Oct'22.

Great video rachit. VW virtus gt owner here. I bought VW virtus gt after taking test drive of so called hatchback on steroids in the name of suv's. Only Tata harrier and Jeep compass have suv characteristics with their rugged chasis. Going for a performance oriented sedan is always better than a hatchback on steroid.

Great Video Bro. I just wanna ask one thing.... In Dec 2022, 48th GST council had decided TAX for Cars with 3 conditions - Ground Clearance above 170mm , engine above 1500CC and length more than 4mt will only be considered as proper SUV and will have higher TAX slabs of 50% (GST + Cess), but none of Auto manufacturers have reduced the tax slabs for Brezza, Nexon segment cars. Can you please tell us when will new tax slabs be applicable ???
