today's episode is based off of Hebrews 10:32-39 (ESV)
32 But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, 33 sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. 34 For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. 35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. 37 For,
“Yet a little while,
and the coming one will come and will not delay;
38 but my righteous one shall live by faith,
and if he shrinks back,
my soul has no pleasure in him.”
39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

Yo. This one was timely in my life. And my favorite episode thus far. This one was all sorts of realness. “We don’t shrink back.” Love it.

Excellent podcast. The spirit of the older brother (of the prodigal son) is alive and well in the church. Paul was proscribed, and later betrayed, by his own brethren in the church. History keeps repeating itself. Most of us, who claim to be part of the remnant, still don’t understand the heart of God, that it’s His goodness that leads to repentance.

Regarding your video on singleness specifically single women - there are a lot of unfair, untrue hurtful assumptions which you can see women disagreeing with in the comments. The loving thing to do would be to see single women fairly, rather than finding fault with them, just because they’re single. You describe your win wife as the most compassionate woman in the world. On the other hand single women aren’t praised like this, when they are it’s for hat they do- not who they are. Then they have the criticism and hurtful words based on their lack of a husband. You imply that single women are single because of something they’re doing - this is not fair. They’re trying their best to pursue marriage, while following God and always being accused of idolatry. They’re Godly just like wives- just because they haven’t been successful in finding a husband, doesn’t mean it’s their fault or something they’ve done. Or else, the most charismatic and outgoing, or Godly women would be married, but God GIFTS marriage to all kinds of women. Including the ones who are shy, not fair to make certain personality types feel they ‘keeping’ themselves single. Not true. Think about how hurtful it is to be single and like you’re not worthy of being chosen, and then seeing videos that just assume that you’re to blame. You could give single women some credit. You wouldn’t just assume wives are disrespectful and bad mothers - why assume negative things about single women who already have to deal with the negativity of being alone in a world that thinks couples are the norm and sex is the norm. Any recognition of single women saving themselves and not compromising on bad men - cause there’s a lot of things you say they do wrong. But Not the positive affirmation that wives get. We’re equal. We should be treated like it.
