I spent my first 300 encounters running in naked, no guns , no consumables, building up my arsenal. I grabbed crates, safes, air drops , and bookoo loots without gun fights. Learning how to hide and sneak and run like hell. Now i can go in with gear , without fear of loosing anything. This video gives very good advice.
I didn't think it would happen. I was in the same encounter as you. I am now waaaay better because of you. Cool to be in the same encounter months later.
I have been preaching this. The game is so much more fun when you assume you'll be losing whatever you bring in. I like just calling it "glinting" someone. Personally.
If you're scared to win you won't win! this made my day, I don't know if you are writing down first your script or you are just talking during the video but it's so genius and the quotes are like some wise Chinese old man wrote them. Thank you for the video. (have you thought about the aiming video?)
I have thought about doing an aim video. I'm going to do that in the near term. Not sure when but it's a good idea so it will happen👍 I outline the broad points I want to make so that I don't get sidetracked into something off-topic but other than that it's nearly free style. I make an outline right before I'm gonna record with what point is said in what order and then go for it.
Beaut vid JF. SAS in England motto...who dares wins. Hope that's right. I'm way slow hitting my consumables. Need that fluidity. Mirror in t eye...there's a glint in your eye. Umm...glass eye. Yeah, I suck at this. Cheers mate🍻✌️
I deleted my original comment because I just have to come back and tell you how right you are. I’ve been taking more risks and not going in scared and I get so many kills and so much loot now. You telling me to go in with confidence and to leave the fear? Has really stepped my game up. So what if I lose a SG1, I have 45 more. On top of that? I’ve learned to take a list of things I lose and I go in and find another to replace it, so if I lose a SVD I don’t use another one until I replace the one I lost. It’s a good method. I’m actually having fun now instead of being stressed and scared to lose my shit. Seriously man thank you.
I'd call it "The Outlander's Lighthouse" after the lighthouse across from your shelter and as a warning to others who wander to close. Maybe the lady pirate needs the "Outlander's Lighthouse" to guide her way to the soul? Or if you want to get real pun oriented, "The Outlander's Lightmouth".
The majority of my encounters end in death and ive learned to be ok with that. I don't die because I'm afraid i die because when i see someone else in the game suddenly i cant play for crap i cant hit anything even at close range. Its like i could cut out another character with bullets without hitting them once. Im not scared and i rarely take in anything valuable or anything im worried about loosing. I just suck at vigor. I keep trying tho. Good video i enjoyed it
It sounds too me like you're approaching the game with a healthy attitude and mental space. Even if you're having trouble with the showing at this time you're way ahead of just people which is the mental skill of dealing with this games frustration. As to your accuracy whilst shooting. I'm working on a Controller Settings and sensitivities setup video. It should help you out greatly. I'm not sure on a timeline. I want to release the video when my website is done and ready to be visited, which is nearly about to happen
There has been many times where I've gone in with an akm and make it out with famas, augs, L85s and other valuable stuff, just because I'll take em on, because if I do lose...it's just an akm
I saved crowns and got the VZ and Mosin The AK and Bolt action. I spent hundreds / thousands of crowns on cosmetics, and of course I still want cosmetics still now. But one thing I should have done was atleast but a couple weapon plans. Buy weapon plans for cheep and low time crafting weapons . And just build 2-3 for every one you use / lose. And right now I have like 50 plus of each ones and stopped crafting them I only craft when they hit below 50 just incase. I’m still somewhat new. But just incase I need to have those guns available . I also craft 200-300-400 rounds of each ammo every blue moon to stock up. Now I take in the VZ59 with 90-120 rounds of ammo and maybe painkillers and antibiotics . I’m saving up to buy another weapon plan but I also wana get the bandage that’s only 75 crowns and I think that’s so damn overlooked. But I can run in back to back to back matches and get smoked before firing a single bullet and Altho I’m pissed it doesn’t affect my gear or stock . I don’t set one out in fear of losing one. Some maps I use the Mosin some the VZ. And some I go zero hero. I got the Luger too, that’s a over looked fun that beast is awesome with headshots thru iron sights. And I’ve massed a huge arsenal . I really love them and wana use them they’re awesome to look at but not yet.. first a Jedi must progress and learn the Jedi way. Then I can master the RPK.. lol Or buy weapon plan for 500 crowns and soon as I get paid I’m thinking about buying the RPK and Suomi For 750 crowns and then use the rest for some cosmetics maybe.
Another helpful video. Thanks. Question - How do you handle recoil so well? There seems to be little or no recoil when you're shooting people in your videos. Is this just through good thumb control or have you adjusted the vigor control settings to improve things? I frequently get killed in firefights even if I get the drop on someone and shoot first. I'm also amazed at how quickly some players can suddenly spin round and return deadly accurate fire, while it takes me what seems like ages to turn, locate the source of incoming fire, and by then I'm usually dead. Could you make a video for those of us who struggle to hit a barn door from 6 feet away so we could improve our aim, handling and composure in a firefight?
I was going to do a video about this topic soon but I dunno now. Some of my friends don't want me to🤣 The quick answer is: yes. It's ALL in your controller settings. I've spent actual untold hours adjusting my sensitivities and other settings in the Vigor game options. Hit the Start button and go to options and then game options. There's 2 layers to the stuff you can do. The first screen is basic controller settings and then you can click on advanced for more stuff to tune. I also have an Elite Controller Series 2 which you can then further adjust your sticks and other stuff with your controller itself👍
@@JealousFist thanks for the reply. I was actually in a few encounters with you a few days ago. Naturally, I tried my best to avoid you - no offense! I know everyone prefers different settings but a simple guide about what each setting does and how it actually affects aim and movement etc would be a great help to many of us.
That's one thing I can't be of much help with. I understand what the very basic stuff actually means but most of it I don't fully get what it's doing if that makes sense. I've gotten to my settings thru a lot of trial and error and playing.
@@JealousFist 🤣 lmfao my dude, it’s like the Greek mythology thing. Hades and the river styx. The ferryman or Dutchman comes across that river to collect the souls of the dead and take them to hell
Great vid, as usual, bro! How about a "death memento?" I think it's appropriate because you're leaving them with a visual keepsake to take with them as they pass to the other world. ☠😁
On a standard controller my sensitivities were cranked all the way up but I've since moved onto the Elite controller. I can't remember right now off of the top of my head but they aren't as high as you'd think
OMFG!!!!! THAT might be it! Give em a Tomato Plant!!!! Dude. Someone is gonna have to come up with something truly OUTSTANDING to beat that! OMG. I almost hope no one thinks of a better one that's so good. I'm writing down your name now.
Dude! People have come up with some good ideas so far but I dunno if they're gonna beat yours. The only thing that keeps me from giving you the win right now is it doesn't quite roll off of the tongue. Also how do you then talk about that without it sounding jilted or something. Plant a tomato plant into your enemy? Give him a tomato plant? I'm almost thinking the Tomato part should be combined with something else to make it sound more BA when spoken out loud. You know?
@@JealousFist haha! I guess when you drop one off you could say, “Time to give ‘em the ol’ Viking/Norwegian/Nordic (etcetera) Tomato Plant.” Or, alternatively, “Time to plant some Vigor Tomatoes.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I suppose if you get threat it would upgrade it to a whole tomato garden. 😂 It’s like a food donation; just doing your part to help feed those hungry outlanders.
Dafuq u changed my life. I staped playing lone wolf and bring some gear now the vigor gods like blessed me or so like i dont know ill just had a 9k xp round. Thank u.
I currently play like a looting ninja. No weapons, caffeine and stims. Possibly an iodine. I go for known combo crates spots and peripheral loot. I enjoy the thrill of eluding the try hards that port me 10 times over the course of a single game.
The point is to go into a game and get out alive with more stuff than you went in. Or not. It's whatever you want For me this game is all about getting the airdrop. For others it's kills. For others it's getting really good at looting.
I like that! I dunno about calling the Tactic itself that but I LOVE the connotations of it. Maybe that should be a part of Vigors religion somehow. I'm keeping this in mind, bro!
the problem is that on the xbox one you get 30 fps in clear wheater and 15 fps when its foggy or rainy and the graphics are at the lowest so everything is blurry
I guess for me after watching this video it is fear of not being bold enough to go for the high objective in the game after seeing what outlanders are bringing in for weapons and badge their kill count? I shy away from that and be more sneaky stealthy and get out alive, lol!
faced 2-3 guys with 5k kill badges in encounters yesterday and killed em with an SKS when they had m2s. who knows how long it took them to get 5k kills 🤷♂️
I recantly been telling myself when I play don't over worry and use snipers how i got most of them been taking them from players that go to vault lure them away from it use fake glite an go back to get the stuff for so theft lol
This is a really good video but what scares me the most is the players since in lobbies I see guys with high kill badges and powerful weapons and that kinda lowers my confidence a little.
Do NOT let those badges think they show anything about a person other than how much time they've spent playing the game. There are guys with 5k+ kill badges but then you see they have 20k+ games and have died almost every single one of them. In this kind of game anybody can die at any time to anyone. That goes for everyone, myself, and all the people you're scared of. I get clapped, all day everyday, good and hard. Just like you and just like the guys with those badges. I was not always making videos about the game and posting them on the internet. This is a recent thing for me. I only started doing this cuz people I respect for said I should. Why do I bring that up? Because, before I was making the videos I was just some dude in the lobby like everybody else and like everybody else I was scared of the same guys you are. And you know what? I still am. The only thing that has changed from then and now is that I became a little bit known within vigor for showing people what I've learned. That's it. Now, why do I say that? I say that to demonstrate to you that I am just like you and you can be just like me. The only difference between us and our fear is I've learned, I know this sounds corny, to embrace my fear. You have to learn how to deal with it. What it feels like; it's affects on your mind and your hands and on your heart rate. This stuff is real in the sense that it's having effects on you, but it's not real in the sense that once you realize these are just autonomic responses happening because your body has evolved over millions of years to trigger these things in dangerous situations that you can face that fear and turn away from it and keep it in the background and do what you have to do. What you have to do is live and make it to the exit. That's all. What happens between the countdown and you exiting is up to you. The point of this game is to live and get out with whatever was important to you to go in and get in the first place. Choose your goal. Choose what is most important to you in the game and pursue that to the exclusion of all others. Once you get good at that figure out another thing that's important to you and figure out how to do that while still doing the first thing. I'd be surprised if after you figure out how to do those two things if you're still fearing the fear. You can't ever get rid of the fear but you can learn to live with it. I'm serious. This is true in real life and it is for sure true in the game. You just have to accept it and it will happen as you work thru the game and aquire skill and experience.
@@JealousFist thank you, your tip videos are really good and I been using your teachings to improve in this game.you're right I can't let badges scare me.I may not be able to let go of the fear but I can control it and stay focused.
Dude! I love that! This is true! Thank you for speaking up, bro! 🙏🤘 Currently working on the next tips video. I think this Convo just inspired a topical Tactics video later on tho 🤘🤘
If I'm gonna try something new it's GOTTA be like Vigor. I LOVE this game. The only thing I've heard of that's gotten me excited in years is the upcoming The Division: Heartland. It's basically Ubisoft's version of Vigor.
The only gear fear I have is the realization that purchased weapon packs don't contain blueprints and I'll be stuck with only the base weapons I can actually craft 😭
The only thing i fear any more is the rain coats that can head shot u from half map or head shot u when ur 100% in cover or when u lite them up and they turn around fire one bullet and head shot u i get kill 80% of them time and its a rain coat and its always a head shot from them i have tons of stuff im not scared of losing anything anymore i only fear the rain coat the guys with less then 100 kills no matter what i do i cant seem to kill and then the head shot me like they have aim bot smh
