You have inspired me soo much. My sister has finally stopped biting her nails and she bought a gel nail kit. And your video for flames has taught me how to make gel flames and my sister loves them flames are one of her favorite manis i do for her. Thank you so much for the video. crystal, i promise it gets easier....its not reallllllly talent..my first ones were horrifying. i had polish everywhere and i probably cried a dozen times....i did this alone. i was at a nail show in vegas and one booth had marbling on a nail and no one would say how they did it 'of course' and i went to my salon and practiced and practiced on paper until i got it.....then i had to perfect it on the nail. it was 1990. so, i have had some practice! lOLOL dont give up!!!

This is such a cool technique, I have really really short nails so, do you suggest anything different for that?

yes....thinner polish, work fast..dont worry about cuticles until clean up and practice on paper smaller and smaller until you know how to pull your brush in swift strokes that are short and fluid. if you can get it down to your nail size on paper, you will have better luck. good luck to you amanda!

anneke! it is so hard to film this! i tried for 3 years now and finally i think with this one i can see the whole process..it is to date one of the hardest designs to film and one of the easiest to do...this design teases me continually!! hahahahahah :):):)

usually i start art as soon as the polish is on. i do not push my brush into the polish so the polish actually dries as i paint the nails with acrylics.

its hard at first, but use thin polish and keep trying! practice it on paper using a thick base coat and learn to marble on paper...it helps a lot :D xoxoxo good luck!
