Oh man, is that?...IT IS !!! OHH MAN THAT'S A LIMON LIME GATORADE IN A PLASTIC BOTTLE.!! RIGHT ON TOP OF THE GROUND BY THAT TREE. OH....MY.... GOD....DUDE
shadow blackdelta"The problems is if the owner's will fine his old coin capsule for the long time years ago was stole in this two man because they use metal detector....." .could you translate that to English, it makes no sense the way it is written!
I found a 1899 Great Britain Penny when I was 15 but I didn't tell the old man that's the only thing I still have from childhood. I thought it was something rare until I turn 30 and found a couple more. Not as old
I wondered that but you know it was pretty authentic for the guy with it in his hand, shaking and the a discovery that it was in a shirt piece seemed like a legit discovery.
He's way too excited to really find this! I can't believe they think we're that dumb to believe he just found a 1831 coin..in a jar in the middle of the woods..Okay I believe you sure no problem..
I had a wonderful girlfriend named Kathryn Kelly who unfortunately is no longer with us. Your name brought back many sweet memories. May God keep you and bless you and yours, KK. From Tom in Texas.@@kathykelley8086

Reid Savolainen not using his brain cuz they used the wrong spelling?!?😂 Grammar Nazis like you are a hell of alot more ignorant then a person using improper spelling under a damn video comment! Do u think anyone gives two shits besides dumbass's like u! 😂 Grammar Nazis are the biggest joke of the internet! U have nothing better to do w/your pathetic life then to point out improper spelling? U do realize that 3/4 of the people that leave comments r on cell phones & they click on a word when it comes up as they're typing right, not caring if it's up to your shitty level of perfection! Get a frickin life u piece of crap!!! 🤣
Raw video lol, well thanks for that I am now convinced, no way that raw video on youtube could have ever been faked ! Question - Whats your theory why a coin from 1831 was inside a jar from the mid 1900's ?
Just a very novice opinion, but someone buried it to prevent it from being stolen and never came back for it? Or someone was supposed to come pick it up for a discreet payment and never did? I kind of feel like the first theory makes more sense.
You are missing the point. This coin was valuable and collectable well before the jar was made.Do you put valuable stuff in a jar and bury it very often ? Not just that, the 1 hand suddenly shaking like a leaf while the other was steady and the 98 "OMG DUDE !" are just plain theatrical.
Well, they found something pretty cool. I'd be excited too. You realize that some people collected coins back then and didn't want anyone to take it, so they buried it for safety. The age of the jar doesn't matter if the person buried it in the mid 1900's. you have to remember that people ages ago didn't have safes or a bank account to lock stuff up. To me, it makes sense and I am willing to give them benefit of the doubt.
The give away was the dirt in the cloth. You don't get dirt in the jar thru the cloth and then have an untarnished coin. The only way is to make sure you write the channel down and make sure you never watch anything by them again.
You have to wonder when the grooves at the top of the jar are embedded with dirt and the cloth is filthy and has dirt on the inside but the coin is showroom clean.
I am a beginner at metal detecting and I dream of finding a ring.. It is so much fun. I needed this hobby and watching others find such neat things gives me hope of finding the ring I dream about... Keep the hits coming.. Congrats on such a good find...
The white glass container this coin was found in........I strongly believe that container to be what was known as "milk glass". Back in 1910-ish maybe even up to the 1940s it was used widely for women's products like face cream. make-up, etc. WHICH BRINGS ME to my theory. The coin was buried some time between 1910 and 1940. It was probably a prized family heirloom that someone was in such fear of it being stolen that they buried it. There is no way it was actually buried in the 1830s....not it that type container. The person who buried it probably died in the 1st or second war.... and the secret died with them. (I was a metal detector buff years ago for about a 15 year stretch....starting in the late 1970s.) I am so happy for your find___!!!!!!!
@@diggingne4905 Thats GREAT........see if you can get it appraised "by a "reputable" coin dealer. Ask them what the "retail" selling price would be and what they would offer you as a dealer. Also I would go over that entire area with a fine tooth comb. Seeing that you found something really valuable I would actually "grid" the area, you know mark areas off with some sticks in the ground and string in 6 foot square areas just so you know the areas you already covered, ALSO, an old timers trick is.... if you can go over the same area with a "different "brand" metal detector". Different brands circuitry can sometimes find things another brand didn't. GOOD LUCK...I hope you find a big stash someday
DiggingNE Haha. No worries. I meant the other comment. I just don't wear gloves because I'm lazy.... or I can only find ten left hand gloves in the back of my car.
Like the Dude crap is like really annoying you know, like it is so over used like the Dude needs to substitute it with like Man or Boy, like anything else but Dude. Like you know what I mean man.
How lucky is this guy? His cameraman just so happens to also be the worlds greatest coin grader. Without magnification, scale, or better lighting he knows it's in mint condition. Damn you lucky bro!
I don't know but I have found silver coins between rocks and that the coins have never even made it into the ground and sometimes there just a shiny as I can be I found an 1880 Morgan silver dollar between a bunch of rocks and it was like brand new when I picked it out from between the rocks this was at a place up in Park City Utah way up in the mountains ..
I think fake and ill tell you why. There was dirt inside the shirt and none of the dirt was stuck to the coin. If dirt got in then so would water/moister and that would cause the dirt to glob on to the coin and start tarnishing it.
Hello DiggingNE I bet there are thousands upon thousands of these little caches buried in the past in (many) wooded places like this by hard-times, depression-era(or before) families or individuals but all this demolition, grading, bulldozing, 'modernization, destroying of whole tracts of woodlands is probably smashing these kinds of potential finds to smitherenes and I'm sure a lot will be lost and paved back over, unfortunately. Just makes one mad as heck and also sad as well. Just being able to get out into woods like you guys did here and simply be able to enjoy the outdoors, the solitude, (and) the peace and quiet cannot be put a price on. Used to be able to MD in these kinds of settings many, many years ago but there's no one MD'ing much anymore so when one goes out, he/she has to pretty much go alone. So un-enjoyable and actually it gets really depressing. You guys, I'm (SO) glad for you finding this extreme one-in-a-million find. Also, please don't ever take your partnership for granted because I'd give my right arm to have a partner (as well as), have truly, any good places to hunt anymore because unfortunately, both seem to be in short supply these days as everyone seems to distracted and/or too busy being (too) busy to do any md'ing anymore. Also guys, be on the lookout for the old dumps in woods like this which, if you find rusty cans and bits of glass and other debris on top of the ground, is usually a telltale sign that there are potentially valuable, old bottles, plates, silverware, marbles, possibly coins and many other things just under the surface. Bring you a good, solid Razorback potato digger and get to clawing away. You guys would be (amazed) and excited by what you might find. Poison bottles and some soda bottles can fetch $45 and upwards. The cobalt blue skull poison bottle with p o i s o n written in white on the front near the neck of the bottle is worth $700 (plus). Some whiskey flasks from the 30's are worth $50 or more. The triangular amber poisons are worth $30-$75 bucks. Depression glass plates and bowls are worth a lot too if in one piece. The amber and honey amber fruit jars as well as the "cornflour" blue ones can be worth $75, plus. If you find the Woodbury fruit jars with the monogram on the front, they are worth appx. $30. Good luck guys and Happy Hunting !!! PrairieG.

Woh, I always feel like somebody's faking me. Tell me is it just a dream? When I come home at night. I bolt the door real tight. People call me on the phone I'm trying to avoid. Well, can the people on T.V. see me. Or am I just paranoid? When I'm in the shower. I'm afraid to wash my hair. 'Cause I might open my eyes And find someone standing there. People say I'm crazy. Just a little touched. But maybe showers remind me of "Psycho" too much. That's why. . . I always feel like somebody's faking me. And I have no privacy. Woh, I always feel like somebody's faking me. I always feel like somebody's faking me. I want my privacy. Woh, I always feel like somebody's faking me. Woh, I always feel like somebody's faking me. Stop playing tricks on me Woh, I always feel like somebody's faking me.
RandomGamer.you always feel like somebody's fucking you? May be drink less and try to wake up at night? May be It's your neighbor... U know that paranoid conspiracy freak... Yeah. That one.
I was 7 years old, my Italian Grand-Father gave me a bag of coins from the 1800's maybe earlier 1700's so for safe keeping, I buried all the coins. And I know where they are, I buried all the coins in my neighbor's front lawn under their balcony I am 60 years old today, so... very good chance the coins are still there, buried for 53 years. How do I ask for the property owners permission to dig up dirt under his balcony without telling him what I am digging up? I cannot just go digging, he might call the cops, Hello Police there is a 60 yr old man in my front lawn digging it up, can you send a car? This video jogged my memory, Old Coins, Buried with a cloth, 1800's coin, WHAM the light came on and made me think of the old coins my grand-father gave me when I was 7 years old
Well, I want to thank you for reading what I typed ;-) Yes, I think is the best approach without informing them of the buried treasure. Thank You for your suggestion.
John, I agree with Luke. Just tell them you just remember burying something that is very sentimental to you. If they are decent people they will not object and will let you dig up your treasure. But, I think you should do it soon....as soon as possible. Good luck. Post some pictures of it, or better yet, post a video.... I'm subscribing to your channel so I will be notified when you post something.
This inspired me to buy my first Garrett AT pro going hunting in NH next weekend wish me luck. Im in the concord area if you guys want to join up ill go 33.3% with you guys what i find?
3:42 “like legit there’s like no wear on this thing” that’s because you bought it on eBay and then put it in the ground so you could get views on RU-vid. Exactly like the title of the video says, there’s no way you found that. #clickbait
not like I'm a perv and go there BUT i live in the middle of nowhere in a no stop light city with big desert parcels and huge spaces between and that thing said half mile away........I'm like the only person under 80 I've ever met anywhere near home, ewwww narly
you can tell by the rock next to that hole that you dug that might have been a marker next to that road between two of those trees. When I am out hunting I look for things like that something out of the ordinary especially rocks where they shouldn't be rocks. Good find don't worry about the haters those are the people that cannot find nothing
capped bust means lady liberty has her bust/chest/breast covered. there where even rarer ones where lady liberty had her breast exposed those are worth way way more.
Assuming that is a real and old coin in nearly new condition a little water spritz is better than wiping off the dirt. Wiping can leave very faint scratches which diminish the value.
I just started detecting… I went to the beach once and found lobster trap pieces and a key… and today in my yard I found 3 dimes, 3 Pennie’s, some metal scraps, a metal band to a whiskey barrel and a shot gun bullet butt circa 1911-1930
pim1234 You guys find vast ancient treasures in the middle of cow pastures and Roman coin caches under housing foundations, and I haven't started on Viking artifacts.
USA Coin Book estimated value of 1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar (Large Letters Variety) is worth $2,165 in average condition and can be worth $20,259 in very good condition.
1831 Capped Bust Half Dollar CoinTrackers.com has estimated the 1831 Capped Bust Half Dollar value at an average of $50, one in certified mint state (MS+) could be worth $2,550
It's an 1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar. He mentioned that he found an 1831 Large Cent nearby earlier. If it is the "Large Letters" variety it is worth thousands of dollars.
Value: As a rough estimate of this coins value you can assume this coin in average condition will be valued at somewhere around $60, while one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $7,000 at auction.
USA Coin Book estimated value of 1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar (Large Letters Variety) is worth $2,164 in average condition and can be worth $20,258 or more in uncirculated (MS+) mint condition.
There is no way you can tell on a youtube video what it's worth. You have no idea the fine nuances of coin appraising . One tiny "mint mark" could mean the difference between $125. and $12,000. Even how many feathers that are on an eagles tail on one coin can mean thousands of dollars more. You know NOTHING
He best go home sage himself and take salt bath...Better yet put it back where he found it and leave anything that remotely looks like that alone !!! Damn Muggles !
On Sunday evenings..I go to the Park in town, its a resort town.. and I throw a roll of pennies all over the park to keep the Hunters busy.. and cover up anything of value.. I go their the following monday AM and hunt and get tons of stuff.. from wathces, Earings, rings .. its fun and profitible
Great find guys. Now you can fund a massive excursion for the value of that thing or pay for half a semester at Stanford ;) Google says; "USA Coin Book estimated value of 1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar (Large Letters Variety) is worth $2,164 in average condition and can be worth $20,258 or more in uncirculated (MS+) mint condition."
Respectfully, that is not true. Silver most certainly WILL deteriorate over time. First, it oxidizes (tarnish). That process eventually turns it black and crusty. The silver oxide slowly replaces the silver. If there is salt or sulfides present in the environment in which the silver item is stored (or buried, etc), this process is accelerated. If you've ever seen silver coins recovered from brackish water (i.e. the ocean), such as Spanish pieces of Eight (8 Reales), you've seen the black crusty lumps of silver coins stuck together. When they show you carefully restored coins later, you're seeing the ones on the INSIDE of that clump, that were salvagable. The outer crusty ones are often damaged beyond identification.
Well the milk glass was used around the time the coin was minted the cloth looks period accurate.. but who knows or cares haha all I know is fake or not that guy saying Dude... Dude. .. dude. Is annoying
