Episode #4 in the No Write Way interview series, held every Saturday over on Instagram Live! Skip to about 15 min in for Jay -- I spent the first 15 taking questions while I waited.
jay and v are so brilliant. i'm obsessed with jay's comments on nostalgia. these videos are keeping me motivated to write in this impossible times. thanks guys :D
Wow. I know I'm late but the "visual movie in your brain" thing blew my mind. I assumed all Writers saw the movie playing and they transcribed it. I would love to know how the writers who do not see "the movie" (so to speak) work. Like what is it that's happening internally when you are putting the pen to paper, or finger to keyboard. So intrigued...
i need to trust the process of letting it formulate in the back of my head. letting it go and moving on to the next step, and letting the answer sit on simmer for a few hours or days, then come back to it when something does finally strike.
'Every book up until here has been a fluke'. I think by the time you've done a few projects, if there's a problem you can backtrack and figure out why, or what's going on with you personally to make it not gel? It's a fear that comes with creatives, for sure. But having external validation can help towards your pursuit of further projects, I hope! :) x Cos we all, for sure, support you both!
LOL ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zg3mDo8zv1A.html And I'm over here with aphantasia--I can't see mental pictures * at all *, no voluntary visualization whatsoever. I was blown away when I realized that when people said "visualize", they weren't being figurative--they meant they could literally see photorealistic pictures in their heads. I didn't know people could actually do that. But when I'm writing, even though I can't * see * how things are, I can feel how it's supposed to go, and I have enough life experience to fill in the details with words.
when u get really hyped up for a book and then google the authors name in youtube and then find them..and then u r like wait really.. cause I clicked on a video with like really bad video quality and then u check and realise that it is actually the author..so u get really happy and post a really long comment that makes u sound like a 12 year old.... P.s I swear I am not a 12 year old.
miss schwab, this is not a good look in light of all the accusations about mr kristoff that have come out recently....and existed for years......why are you using your platform to promote him?
