It’s so sad that students no longer know how to engage in conversations but can only lash out and react emotionally, by yelling and throwing tantrums. Thank goodness Noa is a strong woman. I could not deal with such physical intimidation and verbal violence
@@Ivan-fm4eh they’re in college, I expect this behavior from elementary school and maybe even middle school aged students, but not for HS and beyond I hope they learn too, and also hope universities foster environments where such discussions can occur… instead of this.
Palestinians in Israel don't have equal rights. It doesn't affect Noa, so it doesn't bother her. That's Israel, too. "It's not my problem, so it doesn't matter."
@@Ivan-fm4ehthere really isn’t. Everything that they know to this point in life will not be unlearned. This generation are dimwits, and that is why they all support the terrorists. The problem is the universities and higher education. There is no debate. The instructors (I don’t call them professors because that is a title that demand respect) will only reward them with a good grade if they vomit back the rhetoric and ideology that is shouted at them.
These people are so rude, ugly and disrespectful and ignorant. Well done Noa, you are a brave, intelligent and decent woman....all these people are so rude. Their true colours are coming out. They become angry and rude when confronted with the truth. I support you!❤
Sorry to interfere: “these” people are not ugly, maybe rude and disrespectful, but not ugly. They are as loved as the Jews are. I think they should have listened Noa out and tried to understand her position, please don’t just call them ugly. We (humanity) are all in the same boat. ✌️
@@hanseichThe people referred to, act very ugly. It isn't to do with physical looks, it is the way that they conduct themselves, and the way they treat people who they disagree with.
It truly is symbolises the conflict at best. One side is open for conversation, education and narrowing the differences, as the other is choosing to entimidate, throw tantrums, yell and swear. Thank you Noa for the video, you're the best
@@paulnejtek6588: What have the Jews done throughout the centuries to warrant so much hate towards them? All I've noticed is their struggle just to survive from day one in peace and not wishing any harm on anybody.
The woman chanting on the loudspeaker not wanting to even engage with Noa just says it all. They don't have cogent points, but they sure know how to scream and shout for attention. This is the same strategy 4 year olds use.
The people that were there are not Arabs, not Jewish, not Palestinian, they are not middle eastern! They are white Christians, and Lebanese, Pakistanis, Egyptians, Latinos that are Anti-Jewish semitic, racist, xenophobic bigots promoting blood libel, Marxist communist, Jim Crow segregationist apartheid policies! The majority of the members of the Anti-Israel organizations are White Christians and people from Lebanese, Egyptian, Pakistani, Latino, Chicano decent from UK, Austrillia, New Zealand, USA and Canada! They are not from Israel or middleeast!
I feel so sad seeing how disrespectful the students are, not to mention how incoherent their thinking is, and what a complete lack of communication skills they display. I'm losing hope in the future. I don't know how you managed to retain your poise through all of that. Kudos to you, Noa 👍🏻 And thank you for the work you are doing 💙
@@ArcOfTheCovenant i've been to the west bank and it's pretty junky. it's not as bad as the bantustans though, which I haven't been to mostly because I was too young at the time. BDS movement failed, right of return failed, they need to just accept what's given and make a state. jews are never giving up their land or jewish national identity. lost cause imo. oh well.
Noah, I admire what you are trying to do! The raw hatred that many have towards Jews is scary, but we will stand strong and proud because we know we stand for the truth, the light and what's good in this world!!
Noa! One of the gutsiest persons I've ever seen. I'm from the San Francisco Bay area and see you are in front of the Zellerbach Hallbuilding. Be careful!!! I went to Israel for the summer after the six day war. So I have some appreciation for Israelis, Israel, and numbers tattooed on arms. Being raised in the San Francisco Bay Area by default indoctrinated me into the hard-core left culture. I thanks my father for taking us to Israel and giving us this very hands-on education!

I graduated college in 1976 and worked as a professional engineer for the past 45 years in both private practice and for a world class research institution. Over those years I have mentored many college interns and what I have noticed is a remarkable decline the liberal part of their education. Many, like those in this video, lack the most fundamental knowledge of world history, geopolitics, and the workings of their own governments. There has been a major breakdown of liberal education in this country resulting in the kind of ignorant and sometimes hostile behavior we see here. Many view the world in a highly polarized way that lacks even the basic sense of open minded curiosity that would provide them more balanced view of the world. In one respect their behavior has denied them the beauty of experiencing the world like one would an Ansel Adams photograph, with all its gradations. Instead they see the world in a harsh contrast of blacks and whites.
College students are standing up against the political class and the corporate media. Exactly as they did in the 60s. That is the definition of liberal thinking. You are an absolute disgrace.
I am an Israeli who at age 6 lived in Berkeley. My father (rest his soul) was on Sabbatical and completed his PhD there and later became a Professor. I remember my three years living in the States as wonderful years of adventure and family life. I grew to love the United States but after three years we missed home and came back to Israel. Now, I wouldn't move to the States (certainly not to California) no matter what! I realize Berkely isn't the entire picture of course but I saw what happened at Harvard, MIT, Penn State, Colombia and many other University campuses after October 7th and it sickens, frightens and disgusts me. If this is the future of America - then the future of both America and Israel is very grim.Ignorance, hatred, no moral compass, no context, no knowledge... it's all about narratives and virtue signaling and earning "Brownie points". These brats have no idea what they are talking about. Entire generations of students indoctrinated and unable and/or unwilling to use their brains, do some research, have a conversation! It's all about this narrative of "oppressor vs. oppressed". If you are white and powerful - you are the oppressor. The fact that there is only one Jewish State (compared to 55 predominantly Muslim countries), the fact that there are about 1.8 billion Muslims compared to about 15 million Jews, the fact that there are almost 50% Mizrahi/Sephardic Jews (Middle Eastern/dark skin) in Israel, the fact that the Palestinians have been offered a two-state solution seven times and rejected the offers EVERY time and resorted to terrorism of the most despicable means, the fact that October 7th was one of the worst acts of terrorism in history... all of this isn't up for debate, not even conversation. Easier to just scream insults and pick the side that earns you your place at these once great institutions. The glimmer of hope is that we now (at 5:05) have at least one more Zionist! 🫣🤣
I stand with you Noa and I stand with Israel 🇮🇱 and the Jewish ✡️people! You were very brave to stand up to those pali supporting bullies. Long live Israel ! You always speak the truth .
Nation State Law: It states that “the right to exercise national self-determination” in Israel is “unique to the Jewish people.” It establishes Hebrew as Israel’s official language, and downgrades Arabic - a language widely spoken by Arab Israelis - to a “special status.” It establishes “Jewish settlement as a national value” and mandates that the state “will labor to encourage and promote its establishment and development.”
Noa ... thank you for your courage and open heart. It saddens me to see these children treating you like this. I hope one day they will open their hearts and minds.
Very brave! Not many can do this. Palestinians propaganda is distributed widely with a strong emphasis on taking things out of context, lies, and relying on ignorance.
Relying on ignorance is KEY. That’s why it’s so awful seeing this at prestigious universities. Like ..are they incapable of reading for their classes? Do they not understand basics of research??
What I like about these college students is that when you throw data at them that doesn't fit their agenda, they say, "Listen to yourself/that's a lie/is that really what you're saying?!" As if it were an argument in support of their claim. And the more they speak in a condescending tone and with a roll of the eyes, the more they believe they are winning the argument. It's also a good idea to end with some swear words so they understand your level of intellectual depth, which is only comparable to a spoiled 4-year-old child who didn't get what he wanted and is currently having a tantrum.
I disagree with the way in which the young man conducted himself but the facts are on his side. There is no meaningful way in which Palestinians have the same voice as Israeli citizens because those in the occupied territories can't have Israeli citizenship. On the other hand, there remains an infinite right of citizenship for Jews around the world with no connection to the land and this right does not extend to the Palestinians displaced from the land since 1948.
I'm sorry to tell you this, But unfortunately if you think his points are true, you suffer from the same ignorance he suffers. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IxLtaPo-wfw.html And regarding apartheid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6o1-i_tn1AA.html Unfortunately, you suffer from the same problem as the student, he adopted propaganda that one side is trying to push, due to ignorance or anti-Semitism, or simply he is in an echo chamber, where everyone has the same opinions, so he does not want or is willing to accept opinions that contradict his personal opinion. And regarding your claim, the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank do not have the same rights, as French citizens do not have the same rights as Romanian citizens. It still doesn't mean Romania is doing apartheid on France. Another thing, occupied territories? from whom? Can you direct me to where there was a Palestinian state? Prime Minister? currency?, are Syria and Jordan also doing apartheid on the Palestinians? Because the area they live on was also called Palestine in the past. I would appreciate an answer.@@SuperKripke
@@SuperKripkesome Palestinian Arabs are not citizens of Israel,20% of Palestinian Arabs are citizens of Israel holding Israel passport and quite happy to coexist
@@gregkle9384 Is this 20% of the Arabs living from the river to the Sea? You're failing to count the hundreds of thousands of those that were forcibly removed since 1948 and have no right to return nor a right to citizenship. Add to this that every Jew around the world has a right to citizenship even if they have no connection to the land.
@@SuperKripke I am not failing to count anything, people with money run away at the start of civil war, some have been asked by Egypt and others to clear villages so armies can bomb the hell out of place and not to be in the way. Some Palestinian Arabs stayed, probably those who lived with Palestinian Jews for centuries although they had their dark moments.Wars have consequences.1948 war is no different.Russia took large chunk of land from Finland in 1939 aggressive war.I didn’t see Finns doing intifada and hamas on Russia and fire rockets over the border . And you know why they don’t do it,because Finland wouldn’t exist if they did. Also I don’t see any demonstrations in support of Ukraine although Russia is bombing the hell out of place as we speak. Some observations: 1) Anyone thinking of dating that tall guy should watch this video first. 2) How did those students get into UC Berkeley? I thought it was a school for intelligent people 3) I hope that Noa has some security next to her when she does these events because even though it is supposed to be a university where people debate ideas, many of the people like that tall guy are dangerous. 4) You cannot convince an anti-semite to change their views 5) This event was a year ago. These universities have made their position A LOT clearer over the last two weeks.
That was...wicked. To insult a woman, somebody's daughter, to her face, shows a mindset unbecoming of learning. I'm sure the special forces have neutralized the two eunuchs by now. *Men DO NOT speak to women like that*
@@A_RU-vid_Commenter lack of insight. Many men think of women as cheerleaders, toys, furniture to be thrown away. I'm lucky i discovered Sacred Feminine. *"I am not just a woman. I am a temple. I am of and for the gods. If you cannot come to me as divine, do not come to me at all."*
Ya, I thought his head was about to explode. Although I admire anyone in this video who actually engages with Noa in a a civalised manner. He was maybe the only one. Case in point: Noa asks to talk with the megaphone lady and all ML does is yell "Viva Palestina" over and over again.
@noah Noah, your identity may be a mystery to me, but your courage is clear. I appreciate your efforts in shedding light on these matters. It's through content like yours that I've come to grasp the shortcomings of the American education system. The depth of unawareness it fosters is truly astounding.
Wow, Noa is incredible. How many of us could do this ? How many of us could have this combination of calmness and strength? Still, it’s so disturbing to find this ignorance and hatred at one of the most academically demanding colleges in the country. Of course, as we see and hear, the intellects of these students are plowed under by their emotional need to see the world in black and white.
I have to congratulate Noa Tishby for her heroic effort trying to teach these ignoramus students of UC Berkeley about Israel. She has far more patience than I.
I am Iranian. Noa, you are doing good job showing those how defending Palestine looks like some of them don't want to have conversion or aggressive or ignorant.
It is stunning that NONE of these students can defend their position, have only biased opinion, deny facts and, as shown, cannot debate or interact without threat, anger or logic. THIS is the state of "higher education" because people, unlike Noa, act like they are wrong and are ashamed to call these fools out. Noa Tishby is amazing.
Noa, you are amazing. So smart, fluent, and full of patience to explain basic facts to ignorant people whose knowledge and thinking are more shallow even from their phone.
Nice one Noa. Showing that Uni students are absolutely clueless when it come to Israel. This Aussie Christian visited Israel in 2017. A trip of a lifetime. Love Israel ❤
This is hard to watch - incredibly disappointing to see the students' behavior at an elite university. Brainwashed, spoiled students who are infantile and coddled. Don't seem to know how or want to engage in a mature manner and don't want to strive to grow up. Hard to stomach and Noa is amazing for staying there and continuing to engage. American youth desperately needs to learn from their peers from other countries.
She's very beautiful. She could be a model or something instead of doing this. I am not sure I agree with her 100% but I would give her respect to speak. EDIT: After October 7, I will say Noa is correct. Hamas is evil incarnate.
I don't understand how some people can be so emotionally attached to ideas but are unable to defend them rationally. And the guy that insulted her was just being awful.
she is incorrect to say that Jewish people decolonized the land from the British when Israel was created. 1. British supported zionism from 1917, 31 years before Israels creation. during these years the British empire sponsored British-Jewish migration from the UK to Palestine. Furthermore, when the British empire officially supported zionism in 1917, it did not have control of the land, the ottomans did and the British conquered it in 1919. Zionism became a nation building project for the British. this was not just in practice but in theory aswell. Theadore Herzl says in his book 'the jewish state' that “We should there form a portion of a rampart of europe against asia, an outpost of civilization as opposed to barbarism” Keep in mind that the British Empire was the largest colonial power to ever exist in world history. it is simply false that Zionism is or ever was a decolonial movement, from its inception it is colonial. this video is an example of someone well versed on the talking points going to college freshmen and antagonizing them to get a reaction and discredit other views. its just like far right wing known racist steven crowder and his 'change my mind' series. very sad to see how many people get propagandized from content like this.
This was amazing! I gotta say it’s really something to see even the students who claim to wanna talk slowly transition into the emotionally tantrum driven young adults the education system wants them to be
It's Berkeley, I would have been surprised if there was someone there willing to discuss issues logically instead of trying to drown voices out with ideological statements
@@noa-tishby Exactly. I do not live in Israel nor am I a Jew but even as a gentile I know the atrocities that were committed against Israelis and it was barbarism beyond belief.
