I saw NOAH last night. It did not offend me one bit. Honestly, I was inspired. If Hollywood wants to capitalize on a movie inspired by Genesis, more power to them - they've been doing it for years. Here's a man (who is apparently an Atheist) who's made a movie that shows God's heart more clearly than I've seen on the big screen in a long time. It was humbling to say the least. Let Aronovsky give his artistic expression of what he interpreted in Genesis. We Christians (speaking to my fellow believers) should be confident that God's word is living and that when people explore it like Darren Aronovsky did, seeds of life are planted. This film moved me to ponder God's power, brilliance, justice, mercy, love, judgement, goodness, grace and ultimately, His plan to redeem all things. It just goes to show that God speaks through who and whatever He chooses to speak through and if it's the controversial, "blasphemous" movie NOAH, so be it. I would see it again. Great film!

I don't want to get into an internet argument about religion, but if there indeed WAS a great flood, the fact that we now have oceans have nothing to do it. Please don't say silly things on the internet.

why does nobody ever mention the flood story being stolen from the Epic of Gilgamesh and just had the names of the characters and gods involved changed :)

I sent Russell Crowe a full film script called "Merrymount: A True Adventure Comedy" because he'd be perfect to play Thomas Morton, a Renaissance adventurer who raised a Maypole with Native Americans on Mass. Bay in 1627, became America's first English poet, was harrassed, burned out and thrown out of the country twice and yet still won his struggle against the fascist Puritans.
