@@math_fax that was beautiful. What bothers me most, is the implication that "communist-Marxist-Leninist" is the same thing to be lumped together. Furthermore, implying the atrocities of police state empire is the evil of it...as they ignore what is in the mirror. And today, Bernie's healthcare plan is labelled with the same nonsensical lumping.
Chomsky was bullshitting, falsely denying his whitewash of the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s. You're easily duped by him. For the truth about his denial of Khmer Rougeo, see "Cambodian genocide denial," Wikipedia
Wow...this is like listening to a 'cleaned up' George Carlin comedy show. I'm now convinced that he listened to Chomsky when writing much of his material. Excellent!
Carlin did describe himself as an anarchist on a few occasions so I wouldn't be at all surprised if he did. I've thought the same thing while listening to each of em lol
The right turn already started before that (it began around 1970, and overcame New Deal Liberalism by 1978). The right turn will continue until there’s a mass democratic revolution.
@@Johnsmith99663 I would say more about 1973 with Nixon's second term, though really exploded about 1980. That's the year I noticed Chomsky has been giving in his speech since he did a speech called 'the right turn' in the early 90s. Nader said it was Nixon's 2nd term. Whatever the case...some people deny it ever took place. Which seems like a hard thing to miss
@@Johnsmith99663 The 70's were more stagnant mostly, reversal escalated in the 80s in US & UK. I agree 2nd point, things will keep getting worse without a mass organized revolt. The mass media (news, advertising, sports, entertainment etc) so far has done it's job in conditioning people last almost 50 years. The modern western propaganda system is by far most sophisticated in history. Has adapted well over the decades to changes, like the internet etc
You know I recently was viewing viewing a reddit thread which was claiming Chomsky is a genocide denier and examples were Cambodia and Russia (2020). Listening to this Chomsky destroys both some 40 years back.
"View of demonstrators during the 'March on the Pentagon,' Washington DC, October 21, 1967. Among those pictured are, from left, Marcus Raskin, Noam Chomsky, Norman Mailer, Robert Lowell, Sidney Lens, Dagmar Wilson, unknown, and Dr. Benjamin Spock (1903 - 1998)." From the Getty Images caption.
I would speak for the majority of people who does have English as thier second language, to kindly ask you to put subtitles on your videos perhaps for a better understanding.
MAGNETIC WAVES OF CRYPTOCHROMES Agreed. Neoliberals (GOP and centrist Democrats) who turned us to the right are terrorists. If you compromise with them, they will continue their reign of terror.
at approx... 2:15:00 ... actually about 7 seconds after that... it appears there is something cut out or missing. am i correct or is it just an old splice
I had forgotten about this. He was exposing the Bankster's and was getting ready to give details when it was filtered out. I believe it was significant and was intentionally extracted from this video or audio.

Twelve thousand views. What a travesty. This guy is literally offering the red pill and nobody wants to swallow. What a crazy hilarious world we live in. People read 1984 like it only happens in the book. Stop watching TV and sports, advertising and most movies - you'll see ;)
Chomsky is a putz. The idea that America took a strong rightward turn at any point in the last 100 years is so laughably stupid that only a progressive Jew could say it.
Define red pill? Because I hear Trumpers using that. Indeed, read 1984. Prophecy from a democratic socialist, warning about authoritarian dictatorships, not universal healthcare. Reaganomics uses it as a playbook. As it does with Animal Farm. Implied as an anti soviet fake news warning, as Reagan abolished the fairness doctrine and Clinton consolidated the MSM with the telecommunications act, but actually created the dogs (Hannity and Maddow) to propagandize for the pigs (RNC and DNC)...who are no different than Mr. Jones and the humans (Pentagon) anyway. Red pill??? Bernie/Tulsi 2020
@@chadsimmons4496 knows whats up. Although im not too sure about Tulsi, I like her foreign policy and military stance but shes kinda flip floppy everywhere else. #Bernie2020
Yes, but they have the corporate mass media that is so adept at misleading the American people about everything. How many Americans are aware of Chomsky and what he is saying? Probably not that many. But consider all the Americans who take their news and information from FOX. Scary.
Every now and then they'd trot someone out to give it a shot. That stopped a long time ago. He demolished a succession of right wing "intellectuals" early in his career of course. My all-time favourite is the neo-con Richard Perle who complained - after about an hour of being completely thrashed on every point - that Professor Chomsky seemed to have an answer for absolutely everything. It was surely intended as a snide criticism but given the punishment of the previous hour, that criticism came across as almost desperate, like the last gurgling wail of a drowning man's waterlogged argument.
Ignorance is a far greater enemy to virtue than anything else. Although there are not any people who rival Chomsky, the mass promotion of mass ignorance is something that rivals the very survival interests of the species. In a way, there is no one to rival Chomsky, but in another way, the rivalry is no longer humans and their messages, but the very channels of discourse themselves.
@Bart Alder: In a 2003(?) Charlie Rose interview with Chomsky, Rose exclaimed the exact same thing after running through Chomsky's knowledge of U.S. international relations for an hour. It was less a criticism and more just acknowledgement of Chomsky's sheer transcendence.
How anyone is still a patriot, capitalist or nationalist is beyond my comprehension. Either they pay no attention and don't know the history or are benefiting from all the misery, brutality and exploitation. And they'll be the reason all organized life on this planet ends.
To paraphrase... Real left vs right, is democracy vs autocracy, stuck somewhere in between at representative democracy vs oligarchy... And the oligarchy is winning. Conservative, Liberal... Capitalism, Socialism... These are not left vs right. Although the oligarchs have done well making us believe so. Although theocratic zealots have certainly helped in that divide and conquer. Bernie/Tulsi 2020
It's a virus amongst many people here in the USA and it's called Reganitis since they love to credit him to this neo conservative philosophy. The pathology results in becoming a far right Cristian in 2019.
What do you mean? Facts and reason aren’t enough to convince people of the truth that we’re being manipulated?! The US is an empire, and every action that is taken only serves to maintain the belief that we are doing everything in the name of Democracy. When we ourselves are very far from Democracy. And you know it. How else can you explain ‘The lessor of two evils’?
