Happy Summer! In this episode we visit Noble Cemetery which now falls into my top 5 list of cemeteries to visit in Oregon.
I discovered a plethora of amazing stories in this tucked away cemetery. One of our early stops is the headstone of a 1/2 native American woman named Catherine Kitty Pambrun. If my source readings are correct Catherine arrived into the Pacific Northwest in 1826. We'll also tell the story of her husband Pierre Pamburn who was kind of a big deal back then.
I often hear the saying "she's a little firecracker". Well lets meet an atomic bomb named Huldah Myers who lived quite the eventful life and what a story she has to tell.....hence the video title name. Buckle up.
We will stop by a civil war veteran who served in the famous 9th New York Calvary Regiment.
I highly recommend visiting this cemetery on a sunny day if you need to get away from the busy world. The gate is usually open at the bottom of the road but was locked this day for some reason. However, walking up the road to the cemetery is pretty enjoyable.
FYI AWESOME memorial discovered during the tour.
