It makes you appreciate just how many drop dead beautiful women there were on television in the sixties. Barbara Eden, Donna Douglas, Yvonne Craig, Tina Louise, Dawn Wells, Elizabeth Montgomery, Mary Tyler Moore, Eva Gabor, The girls from Petticoat Junction, Beverly Owens, Pat Priest, and of course Carolyn Jones. I don't think any other era in television ever came close.
+Moser Gray Well said they were all natural.. no muscles, Very little if NO cosmetic surgery , tattoos.. BTW Melody Patterson from F Troop was a doll as well
I remember watching reruns of this as a kid and thinking Carolyn Jones was the hottest woman to ever walk. I am now 54 and that opinion has not changed. RIP.
The Addams Family. The ultimate "First Family " of all time led by the Great Gomez & the REAL FIRST LADY, the "Magnificent Morticia". This family really knew how to have fun & demonstrated how a couple should really love each other.
The scene with Lurch dancing is from the Episode where Lurch is invited to the Butler's ball but he is too shy to go because he cannot dance. So the whole family teaches him, and in the end Gomez pays the orchestra to play a tango, Morticia in disguise dances with him and he wins the trophy.
Yeah, and what was so great for an old TV couple was you knew they DID IT. Must've been scandalous for the time. Other shows from that era, everyone acted like sex wasn't a thing. Gilligan's Island? Two hot babes on a deserted island and nobody even makes a move? Fine, the Skipper would get all horned up, take his hat off and act like Oliver Hardy when Ginger would strut, but it went no further. Even as a kid I was like, if that were ME on that island, both Ginger and Maryanne would've gotten fucked. Haha. But Gomez and Morticia, the way she'd drive him nuts speaking French and he'd start kissing her arm, you just knew...soon as the kids were in bed, they were humping like rabbits.
I have to say creepy or not, Morticia was always Stunning! She was able to pull off looking delicate and fragile while keeping a look of steel about her.
The Adams Family was dope, one of the best shows on tv, and in its larger sense, always relevant about outsiders, the botched, the weirdos, the eccentrics who get written off....thing is, somehow the Adams Family had a shitload of money, which really helps when you are eccentric.
Carolyn Jones/Morticia wasn't hot,she was drop dead gorgeous! Everytime I watch the Addams family I swear to God my heart feels like it's going to break at how beautiful she was.
Thanks for posting! A wonderful cast, from Gomez Addams (John Astin), to Cousin Itt (Felix Silla), and from Uncle Fester (the incomparable Jackie Coogan) to Morticia (Carolyn Jones), and let us not forget the original "Ted" (Lurch, played by Ted Cassidy), famous for his number one rock and roll hit: "Goo-Rah". Oh, and the song is an icon of the '60s, which all we ex-Hippies still resonate to.
Hi there🙂🌻✌️.. I think you may be confusing Ted Cassidy with Richard Keil - Mr. Keil was the goofy monster on that great episode of 'The Monkees'😀😍 that the evil scientist🤯😬wanted to turn into a rock star😎🎸🎶.. .. 'goo - rah' was Keil.. 😂 just my humble opinion ..one of the best episodes .❤️. EVER!.😂🤣.he is listed in the closing credits as 'Dick Keil' 😎☺️⭐he also portrayed 'Jaws' in the OO7 James Bond films . . One of my favorite Monkees episodes😂🤣😂I LOVE the Addams Family series ..both film adaptations fall far short in my heart - I prefer the series. ..NOTHING will ever top the originals.🏚️🕸️⛈️🌩️🕷️🥀🦇🦍👟🦑🦎🏆.My Dad loved Uncle Fester ..me too..the whole family loved this Classic Series 💓I wiil Adore John Astin ( still alive as of 2021 - thank you God)👍👍💘and Carolyn Jones 🕯️🌹💘🙏 forever .Mr. Coogan too 🕯️🌹❤️🙏Ted Cassidy🕯️🌹❤️🙏 was the BEST LURCH...❤️also sweet, adorable Lisa Loring 💕was the perfect Wednesday..💖. Ricci seemed mean and too dark - spirited as Wednesday ....I didn't like her characterization ...👎👎 The perfect t.v. couple - Gomez and Morticia💕❤️💞💘.. True Love 💏💃🕴️🕺... Uncle Fester🗣️💡 cracked my Dad up every time👍👍👍👍😂🤣😂🤣🤣.. The complete DVD set is the best !!!❤️❤️❤️the Original Addams Family RULES!!💪🤳🤞🖖✌️👍👍👍👍👍
I'm 65 now and was in 7th grade when "Nobody but Me" hit the airwaves. Still...on badass jam. I always loved the heavy bass-line in it. I think they were out of Detroit or somewhere up there, and I wonder who played the bass on that, and if he's still with us today. So many are gone now.
The Human Beinz were from Youngstown, Ohio. I'm from Detroit and love the song so I had to look it up. Mel Pachuta played bass. Couldn't find out if he's alive though.
@@lilivonshtup3808 Wow! I sure didn't expect to get a response from anybody on this...much less 5 mos. later! I sure thank you, this is cool. And you're right bro...this tune was and still IS bad-ass. I was in 7th grade out in southern Arizona when it hit....I don't know anybody that didn't dig the tune, really. It sure seemed to stay around on the playlists for a long, long time. We didn't have any FM rock stations in Tucson back then...Phoenix prob. did...they were a lot larger population that us. We had to hear the Human Beinz on one of only 3 am-stations, and of course the family vehicles back at that time usually only had ONE crappy/dinky speaker in the center of the dashboard. If your care was upscale and more expensive....like a nice Cadillac or a Lincoln Continental....or high end Pontiac or Buick....you'd have the option to have another micky-mouse speaker in the rear of the car too....under the back glass. It didn't help the sound much. My point is....once FM stations popped up around southern Arizona...1969-70-ish....and people realized they could really get a much greater sound if they upgraded their vehicle's speakers at a stereo shop.....The Human Beinz's "Nobody but Me" really KICKED ASS like it was recorded to for millions of fans. I feel the tune still holds up over all these 55 years or so. Wouldn't it be cool if Mel Pachuta was still around and actually SAW this post and weighed in?? C'mon Mel....let's hear from you, man! joel in tucson
I'd forgotten just how classically pretty Morticia was. Her shapely figure and that calm, dry sense of humor was just icing on the cake. My parents had some good friends back then that they hung out with, and this one chic in that group always reminded me of her.
Thanks for posting, this was hilarious. It really made my day. Sometimes it's the little things in life that you enjoy the most. Especially in the year 2020.
Carolyn jibes was awesome, she was also in the wax museum with Vincent Price! And John Astin spent his later years performing in a one-man Edgar Allan Poe show.... Coolest couple of the 60s!
The guy who played Lurch was named Ted Cassidy and he played in quit a few movies in his career because of course his height. The most famous you might remember is the movie (Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid)when he wanted to take over the gang Paul Newman is in with him,and it a scene while explaining the rules Paul Newman (Butch Cassidy) cheats and kicks Ted in the groin etc.that was Lurch. Thanks for the video. Carolyn Jones was Beautiful!
Such a loss Jones was diagnosed with colon cancer in March 1981, but continued to work while telling colleagues she was being treated for ulcers. After a period of apparent remission, the cancer returned in 1982. In July 1983, she fell into a coma at her home in West Hollywood, California, where she died on August 3, 1983. Great beautiful actress, R.I.P.
Larry Cook She was a heavy smoker in her teenage years and early adulthood before giving it up a few years later when her acting career was taking shape.
WONDERFUL video! Thank you so much for posting this. I love the Addams Family...and this song! What a great family, especially with the Jackie Coogan. I particularly like the part in this video where Lurch is doing the 'knee thing' like Elvis. lol Thank you for smiles!
Always thought it would be fun to live at the Munster house, but the Addams' family was way cooler and way weirder - and Morticia was a totally hot Mom. Gomez was a very lucky man.
