Nobody Has Noticed This About The Detroit Lions! The Lions have one of the best receiving corps in the NFL but I think because they are so talented in the other areas people tend to think they need to improve in that area. What nobody is noticing is they are stacked with athleticism and players ready to break out.

I agree with what you're saying, another reason I believe we are standing pat is that we have so many receiving weapons that aren't WR's , Sam L, Gibbs, even Monty. This gives us such an ability to hit you from anyplace on the field.

I think the main reason the Lions receivers are so good is the Lions offensive coordinator. A lot of games Goff hit 7 or 8 different receivers multiple times in the same game. Teams cannot double any Lions receiver all game because the ball is being spread around to every receiver. Double anybody leaves somebody open. Teams have to play mostly zone against the Lions. St. Brown is wide open so often because teams have to play zone against the Lions. The Lions damn good offensive line gives Goff the opportunity to spread the ball around.

I think Jamo ran a 40 in 4.26. But as you said it doesn’t matter. Gibbs ran it in a 4.3 I think?

It's hard for me not to, what do you got for me that can convince me he's going to get more than two or three catches again like he did last year? Reynolds gone will give him more opportunities, but he just doesn't seem to be quick enough to get open much.

@@johnboehmer6683I think he caught every pass he was targeted in last year which was like 2 in the Minnesota game. So if he gets more opportunities I think he can shine. He was a mid-season trade too

I agree. He was a late season addition to the roster last year, is a big body that can make plays, and now he's getting a full camp under the Ben Johnson system.

Meh, I've been hearing about him being legit ever since Ann arbor. He's never once stood out to me. Even back then you could see nico Collins was way way better. I've never ever seen him look a quarter of what he was touted as when the wolverines 1st got him. DPJ is mid at best

“At this point” That’s the key. I don’t really see a massive need at WR, but it’s like fans are afraid of the position or something. I mean like they’re going to defy the reality that teams that run a lot STILL pass a lot. I just think fans are taking a ton for granted here. The thought Laporta is just going to continue to progress, that ARSB is just going to be a staple of health, despite the beating he takes and Gibbs is going to not tip the hand if he’s catching so many passes is just wishful. WR is arguably the second most important position after QB on offense. You can kid yourself and pretend “it’s AlL In ThEe TrEnShEs!” But there’s a reason the elite WRs in this league are making 5x what really good Gs/Cs/DTs make. And one injury or a slump for Laporta is going to matter. And expecting Williams to be something he’s never been is another big mistake. It still wouldn’t shock me to see the team move during the season or at the deadline.

😂😂" it's all in the trenches" well yeah that's where the games are won and lost since the beginning of football. Idc if you got Tom Brady throwing to Moss,Rice, and Megatron. If he isn't getting protected, the QB will get the yips. Protecting your QB is the 2nd most important thing ALWAYS. Go rematch the chiefs vs raiders from Christmas. Patty Mahomes was getting killed all day and he looked pedestrian as hell. Protect your QB and kill the opposing one and you'll win the vast majority of your games. Been that way since the advent of the forward pass
