Winning percentage of .700, which is slightly below his career winning percentage. When you play the SB, you're playing the best team from the other conference, and to go 7-3 is pretty good. Is it better than Montana's 4-0? Of course it is. - just getting to play in 6 more is special, and overhyping the perfect record punishes Brady for going 10-4 in conference championships. What sportsman would rather be in 4 and win 4 than compete in 10?

Aside from physical talents, it's Tom's ability to control his emotions in different or difficult situations

What i'm involved in, is nowhere near high profile or as intense as the pressure you would face in a SB, as an elite qb. But, having been in very high pressure situations professionally - Tom's calmness, in my opinion comes down to a few things aside from a naturally calm personality. Preparation plays a huge part. You prep so much, study so much, have considered all the angles and possibilities that when it's go time, things become kinda muscle memory and automated. Another thing is trust. You have to trust your teammates so much that you are willing to risk that big throw, or gamble, whatever and trust the result on the other end. I'm not in sports but a team-based professional environment where successful big moments come down to team prep, personal conviction, and a ton of "studying".

From my sidelines, Brady made everyone a team player. If everyone is playing 100%, the stars will shine. But if superstars get all goofy, it’s about me, it’s all about me catching that great pass, you erode team cohesiveness. That does not mean you don’t celebrate, but you know it was not all about you. When you were on the field, game or practice, you played your A game. Other teams trusted raw talent, Brady’s team developed it to its fullest.

He is the best because football is a TEAM sport. Tom Brady's ability of turning cheap slot receivers into top play makers, his ability of making plays at critical times with cheap receivers had no match in NFL history. *His abilities made it much much much easier for coaches and GM to build a SB contender.* At least 50% if not 75% of the coaches would look like a genius with him.
