From Season 2, Episode 3 'Amarillo' - Jimmy's client outreach efforts succeed, and he exhibits new heights of showmanship. Meanwhile, Mike is puzzled by Stacey's upsetting news.
Watch now!: play.google.com/store/tv/show...
Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

It's just sad because Jimmy is a longtime conman who loves to do tricks and hates playing along with the rules, but he found a good way to apply his skills. But Chuck just had to push Jimmy out of HHM, and that just pushed Jimmy further back toward being a conman to get validation and results. Every chance Jimmy got to make a fresh start, Chuck just pushes him further back to the place where he NEEDS to con to survive.

No way in hell is this solicitation. He clearly plays it by-the-book here. Note the interaction with Lydecker: Jimmy doesn't address him, only answers after Lydecker has interacted with him. The fact that Sandpiper stonewalled him from meeting clients in their homes forced him to meet them on a bus like this. If Sandpiper didn't want other people overhearing, they would have been smart to set up private meeting spaces for Jimmy to meet people who responded to the mailer. By stonewalling him from their residences, they opened up this opportunity for Jimmy, and he was being an excellent lawyer by seizing on it. This isn't solicitation, this is a strategic failure on Sandpiper's part. Once again, Chuck was completely in the wrong, and simply going out of his way to sabotage Jimmy.

Just sublime. I don't care what anyone else thinks, to me "Better Call Saul", is leagues ahead of any show, I can think of. The most wholesome thing Jimmy did was take a L and look like a complete scumbag in front of all the elderly people in order for that one lady to be accepted and friends with all the elderly again😭.....even though it was technically him that caused them all to hate her in the first place but hey he made it all right in the end again even if it cost him all buisness with the elderly

my heart aches knowing that jimmy's mistakes and inner demons cost him a life of actively helping the elderly; a job he clearly enjoyed because he worked with people he certainly cared for at a personal level. his techniques were iffy, but his intentions and end-results were sincere. i cannot ever vent enough how much i pity his downfall and how tragic i find his story. he really was (arguably) a good man back in this era.

One of the things Jimmy dos well is remember names/faces. You need that as a conman. He can meet someone once and remember them. It comes off as very charming and puts people at ease. It’s nice to see him using it in a very moral way here to get these elderly citizens the information since Sandpiper crossing won’t let him in. And yes, this means more money for Jimmy. But he’s at his best when he’s using his whits and charm for the greater good
