I have so much respect & admiration for this compassionate woman for giving senior/hospice dogs a loving home. It takes a special person just to be a regular foster, but she signs herself up for guaranteed heartache. Noodle’s kind spirit is so obvious. He deserves all the love, joy and comfort she’s offering him.

I hear ya@@rogers6168! We lost our beautiful, sweet boy Jersey, earlier this year. Thankfully, my husband and our youngest was with him as he made his journey across the Rainbow Bridge. I could not be there by my Jersey boi's side as I was with our oldest in Toronto as he was recovering from a double lung transplant. His passing hit us tremendously hard. We've been home just over a month and the house just seems all wrong. No clicking of nails up and down the hall. There are no drool puddles for me to slip in. I have adequate space in the bed at night. Nothing is right!!!

So well said! She really is a uniquely special and huge hearted person to be able to do this for these needy and deserving dogs. Not just anybody is able to do this. I wish we were able to message her directly to support and encourage her work. Noodle is sweet and wonderful too! So glad he got more time to enjoy a good life. I could not imagine being the person whose job it is to euthanize these shelter animals. I can't think of a harder, more horrible job 😢

Thank you for being there for Noodles. What is sweet name for a dog and looking at him with one ear up and one ear down and his personality I can see why you fell in love with him❤ this story made me cry it was so heartwarming. Ive been rescuing senior dogs myself for the past 7 years. I understand that the heartache of losing them. But the love and joy far outweigh the heartache. LIke she stated, it's painful to adopt a senior hospice dog from the shelter, but to make sure their last months, weeks, or days are in a loving home, and not a stressful shelter - is WORTH it! This is such a wonderful and beautiful thing that you do! I cannot imagine how hard it must be to lose them! And so frequently. However! The pain of growing old and/or being sick in "jail" is just as painful! Senior animals and animals with health issues get overlooked notoriously! What a special angel YOU are. I honestly don’t think I could do it. Noodles is exactly where he needs to be. There’s a gentleman that runs a sanctuary, he has a dog with the same condition. Her name is Matilda and is one of my favorites. Lee Asher - the Asher House, check him out! Perhaps he has inside knowledge of this condition. Thank you for the rescue! 🐾♥️🐾

Matilda is my favorite, Lee also has wobbles who also has cerebellar hyperplasia. The be like josh foundation also takes in these type of dogs with the condition. This is the first rescue that I know of who has brought cerebellar hyperplasia to the forefront. Kim and Andrew have 2 dogs with the condition. So she started the foundation because these dogs deserve a life, just because they are not steady on their legs. These dogs can still have a wonderful life with the right person.

I have always wanted to open my home to senior hospice dogs. I have rescued senior dogs in the past and they are the most beautiful blessings. I also have a fondness for the underdogs. The derpier the better 😊❤ Noodle is a precious angel on earth. You are both so fortunate to have found each other. They say, "Dogs rescue us" - not the other way around. 😉 Thank you for seeing his value and giving him a loving furever home.

I had a pittie with the one ear up thing. He died at 8 due to cancer. Best dog ever! Once you experience pittie love you understand. It's been 4 yrs and I still miss him every single day.
