The woman in the abusive relationship that rehomed those puppies the second her husband started threatening them is a hero. I hope her and her children made it out of that relationship too

You can see the loving soul in the woman in that awful situation. I hope she found her way out of that abusive environment and her and her children have found the kind of love Luna is blessed with.

Luna is like my departed Pittie rescue Lola. For over 14yrs she helped me to deal with PTSD and depression. She was also like Luna in her efforts to help all creatures she would encounter on our longs walks together. I feel there is an unsung heroe to your story, the abused woman that had the presence of mind to save those puppies. I hope the other puppy mentioned is also happy and safe. Keep this in mind when you talk badly about folks taking their pets to shelters - MANY of them are saving their pets before they start the difficult, dangerous process of saving themselves. From poverty, from violence, or from abuse. Where animals are suffering, hurting humans are also suffering. We suffer and survive together ❤️

Animals souls, friendships and love are so pure. I have always felt my animals were angels sent to me when I needed them the most.

I know we're all here because of the animals but I still hope that the abused woman finds the courage in her heart to end her relationship and give her children a better life. As much as I love puppies, the fact that there are children there in an unsafe situation makes my blood boil.

I once promised to take the cat from an older lady, if she would be too sick to care for the cat herself. That promise is 15 years old and a few months ago I had to keep it and her cat was with me. He was the most sensible and cautious cat. But soon he settled in and purred me and him to sleep every night while cuddeling next to me.... Despite the abrupt change in his life - he surprised me everyday with how perfect he adjusted himself and with my work shifts. A wise old gentleman, perfect in every way possible. I thought I'd have at least two or three years with him, but suddenly his whole routine changed and went worse every following day. The vet came home to me to help him... it turned out his kidneys were failing and medication would only provide him with a few more days. His name was Max! I lost him last thursday at 1 pm. Max, I love you, I miss you. May you always feel my embrace, for all eternity! 💞💔😭

Luna’s Mom is going to make sure that she has a wonderful life. They remind me of the relationship I had with my female Boston Terrier Rescue, who crossed right before Xmas last year at the age of 13. Congestive Heart Failure took her from me. And like Luna & her Mom, we were soulmates from day 1. My Dottie was just like Luna. She had a beautiful soul, and wouldn’t hurt a fly. We went everywhere together. The beach, the Mtns, or just to go for a ride. She was my world, and I think of her everyday. Luna and her Mom make such a beautiful couple together. As for the lady dealing with an abusive partner, I hope she has gotten away from this toxic person and gone “No Contact” with them. Since I’ve recently endured the cruel “Discard” you receive when you’re in a relationship with a Narcissist, who in their mind has drained everything they could out of you, found a new supply and has concluded that you’re worthless and need to be thrown away. The psychopathic, covert, narcissistic witch of a soon to be X wife, didn’t bat an eye during her destruction of a 32 year marriage and the ripping of our family apart which consisted of 3 grown son’s that I raised, co-parenting with a narcissist. This lady is definitely dealing with a narcissistic relationship and they will never change unless they seek therapy on their own and actually face the fact that they are a narcissist, which very few actually attempt to get better through therapy, because this goes completely against what they’re belief’s are. And they get worse as they age. I had to go down the rabbit hole on narcissism, which I knew very little about, and they perform their evil in stealth mode, methodical and can change like a chameleon in an instant, to keep you confused and hand all the blame on you, no matter what the situation is. I hope and pray the lady got out, and if what I exposed about what it’s like dealing with these demons, keeps one person from going through what I have, then I couldn’t ask for more. Luna’s life could have been so very different and a lot shorter if the poor lady being abused hadn’t rehomed them. I hope she has been able to move on with her life without the abuse!!

The previous owner was a brave woman, who saved the dogs despite probable further violence on that account from her husband. Luna's reaction to a shovel is about that violence in the previous home. Thanks to the previous woman for her courage and unselfishness in protecting the puppies' lives!

What an amazing woman, I really hope that poor woman and children with the abusive partner/father are in a better place now and he's long gone. There's no excuse, no justification for abusing anyone or anything, be it an animal, a pet, a partner and definitely not children! Luna's such a beautiful amazing dog, we're so blessed to have these angels in our lives. It's only a shame they don't live as long as us. Her fear and attacking of a shovel is sad, dogs are very neurotic with remembering trauma, if they were abused by a man who wore hats, they'll always be very wary and anxious around men in hats. Just shows how much of an impact it's left on them, poor sweet things.
