Maye is only 21 yrs old. He will sit for the first year and learn the system and the speed of the NFL. Build an offensive line to protect him then we will see his full potential. Solid pick and will be the best of the 24’ draft class.

Drake carried his team the other QB were surrounded by protection and talent. He's played less than half the games as the other two top QB and has more passing yards than both only behind Penix. He's 6'4 230 lbs by the time he takes over the team he will be heavier stronger and still mobile. He's going to be a load to take down. Hes the best QB in this draft and NE caught lightning in a bottle

Actually Maye is possibly the 1st best qb in draft at myers park he broke every north carolina high school record he's a legend at 6'4 damn near 6'5 he's Raw yes but very teachable a gym rat something not many are these days he was the poorest pecentage in pocket so he has alot of work to do but he has the heart and mind to put in the worki would really like for patriots in round 4 to get him devontez walker from unc because he has winner chemistry with him already plus it would help patriots tremendously for what walker went through this past season to come back from all of that and straight ball shows amazing maturity and resiliency eliot wolfe for packers 2000's-2015-16 has best track record of taking amazing wr talent in late rounds so lets see what he does for maye today & tomorrow!

Drake has a lot to learn in the NFL and I look forward to watching him do it. I see him staring down WR’s in these clips, not really sure if looking off the defensive backs is an expectation in college but in the NFL it is. If this kid can learn then this seems like a GREAT steal for the Patriots. Thanks for the content!

It's all a big if. He is the least ready of the 3 to play immediately but he might have the most upside. He has some accuracy issues, can't stay and pass out of the pocket and has bad footwork. He's a work in progress so it really is hard to say if he was any better than the number 2. People think they know which QB is going to be the best coming out of the draft but most of them never live up to the hype. It's still a roll of the dice with these guys. Hopefully this guy is the real deal and develops as a backup this year.

Receivers that are open with decent separation SHOULD NOT need to slow down for the ball...that really defeats the purpose of routes, etc. I remember when EJ Manuel was drafted and his receivers looked the same on tape...slowing down to catch a ball thrown short but catchable ( trading receptions for TDs ). Fast receivers get open and can slow down to catch due to a much greater separation ( Patriot's T. Thornton is a burner ) but that is just a tiny bit of the NFL. Receivers will need to receive in tight windows much more often. So many plays, Maye's receivers, it seems, need to slow down for the ball. I am a Patriots fan. I hope DM is the real deal but pro CBs are gonna be covering tight

He could have played in Alabama, he CHOSE to play in NC due to his family history at UNC and Michael Jordan. He alone made UNC look decent in 2023. They had no O-line, and no receivers. They had to get Tez on a transfer from Kent St (who only played 8 games in 2023). With time, and good coaching, the sky is the limit for this kid. He won't be 22yrs old until August 30th, so he's got nuthin' but time....and a ton of ability

Four of the people regurgitating comments that came from TV personalities over the last month, just remember they might’ve had an angle on what they were saying about this guy. If he fails, it has a lot to do with the coaches. This kids ceiling is up there with the best of them.

As a pats fan, this upcoming season is probably gonna be a disaster like last season, but with the major exception of having some entertaining games and showing promise for future seasons

Drake maye is like 5th best his inconsistency passing is just as bad as the other qb we got both have the same problems . maye has terrible footwork as well . I was hoping we got penix or someone more complete

People dont realize the difference recievers can make with a qb in college. Daniels only had 200 more yarda and 25% of that would have been eaten up with Nabers grabbing the first ball you showed. Daniels & Williams #4 WR were better than Mayes #1. Mayes biggest flaw is his footwork which is the easiest thing to work on. Hell hes probably fixed half of it in prep for thw draft, but the biggest jumps will be made between the ears. Brissett is the perfect pro to sit behind 50 pro starts and over 10k yards but more importantly he takes care of the football. Everyone that thinks its a travesty if Maye sits all year (which i dont think he does) will be calling for the end of the world.

Okay he can’t sit the entire year he needs to learn the system but also experience nfl game speed so that way he can have a extra leg up next season.

Maye has big issues with accuracy, consistency, footwork, telegraphing, and reading defences. He needs to sit for 2 years and clean it all up. He has the physical tools, but he may not have the mental capacity for the NFL. Penix was way better and so is Daniels.

Tape analysis? Maye has the footworks of a drunken Latin ballroom dancer. He is a Zach Wison now. Send him to Tom House. Jet waited 1 full year before getting Zach Wilson a throwing coach. Maye is a few interceptions away to be a Zach Wilson size bust.

Jayden Daniels is going to be a huge bust for washington and letting sam howell go to the seahawks was a terrible decision for washington and howell is going to ball tf out for seattle with that WR core

I just want our new staff to do tbe right thing and work out his footwork and mechanics, which both need alot of work....and have him learn the game behind Brissete for a full year and get him all squared away for hopefully next season! If he is ready then ,it will be w/a roster w/another year to add weapons! If he starts immediately,w/his deficiencies and this roster, it will ruin him! His arm is impressive,even w/scattered mechanics and a long throwing motion,I can't wait to see his feet set consistently and tighten up his release!
