Trust me. Easily surpassed every podcast the UK urban culture got going... not to discredit others but Halfcast, Big Ego, RTM, 3 Shots, No Behaviour arent even close.
@@Lushay101 comfort wouldn't get the answers the people wanted. Pounds made him comfortable while asking questions while at same time showing understanding and that's a skill
This! He is the original sully! No disrespect to Kano at all! Loveee him very much but if sully was a character back when kidulthood came out Noel Clarke would be him 100%!
Poundz is actually a certified interviewer, you can tell he was being neutral but not bias and not taking sides, but still representing the people. He's very level headed and can tell he knew it was a serious subject and carried himself very well.
Noel Clarke is simply a very creative guy who has been punished for hitting the highest point in his life and people get jealous. Big respect to the guy
I have not seen a single podcast conversation conducted so well. Noel I’m glad you stayed patient and not lost the plot. I hope you come back from this.
I only know Pound Sterling from his music. Didn’t know he was on this podcast ting till today but nuff respect. He let my man speak but he challenged him as well. Better than PMQs still.
He is a very underrated interviewer. I am a podcast fiend and listen to a variety of podcasts and Pound Sterling has really developed into a good interviewer. I can see the diversity of his guests expanding because people will genuinely respect his craft.
Went school with Noel and lived in Bramley house too Trinidad background... I was so upset by those allegations and how the industry done him. Proud to see him getting back out there again
I rate him tbh and now its confirmed being parents from the same countries and as a fan can appreciate the levels noel provided and his skill set he brings to any project. Probably gonna watch Kidulthood again.. and salute WTP 👏 🙌 #TheRightWay.
@V0LR4K R316N but were they ever loyal to Noel tho? Nah they were entertained 🤷🏽♀️ that's all. I get what you mean by fickle. Definitely but there's no loyalty. They don't know him. So are they expected to be loyal? Course not. If we knew him more people probably wouldn't even go for it. But because they don't, ofc they're not gonna be solid.
@Laura true! true! loyalty was maybe the not best word I was looking for, but I was using it in context with how, for example that Andrew Tate guy gets support and almost everyone can agree there's a conspiracy against him but someone like Clarke gets dismissed and cancelled immediately by "the people", but I didn't make that clear so fair do's
Can't lie I was one of them, but Noel came with overwhelming evidence against him and I did witness Adam's mental health breakdown on social media, so it does all make sense, he's taking 0 accountability and just blaming his career not taking off on Noel
One of the best Podcasts I've seen and very informative with perspectives not heard or seen before, when Noel said that the BAFTA people wanted a concrete fact as to why he should not get the award and they got nothing from the accusers is very telling in my opinion. Come people we've seen this before, when your at the top your easy prey. Nuff respect to Doug/Pound and the team...Good work guys
@@francisbrobby4120 Boy, I have been tempted to entertain ladies at work. In fact, I have asked a woman at work out (to a concert) and had my reputation dragged through the mud, then isolated from everybody including her. Even though, I was straight forward in my approach. But, work works like this, the worse people can make you look, the better/more professional the person reports you looks.
@@malachiaadonis8178 I don't know what would posess you to do that in this day and age. The whole 'I met my spouse at work' is something that is reserved for white people it seems. I counsel young brothers all the time, show up, be cordial, no suggestive talk whatsover, go home and live your life. It isn't worth risking your livelihood. Most places you'll be in an ethnic minority and some people would never have spoken to let alone worked with a black person before and are just waiting for a reason to make you out to be a monster. I hope things turned out alright for you.
4am & got work at 7am but once I started watching, I couldn't switch off. All made a cup of green tea midway. Interesting chat. Very interesting, some gems in there. Deffo makes me wanna watch Kidulthood & adulthood again. Unfortunately I think he's guilty of some of the allegations but you cannot deny his vision & talent for scriptwriting, acting, directing. The BAFTA was well deserved but two things can be true, and arrogance is his middle name. The insightful questioning was clear and well thought out. Well done 👌🏾
The fact they went straight to the BAFTAs not police and to this day hasn't been nicked says everything that needs to be said, he didn't do that shit imo
@@blackpound2297 England is a different Kettle of fish with who is Melanin Rich and allowed to stay relevant. Can't be bothered to break it down but we are always held back and have to play our role, American are allowed that exaulting. England rar have black people under manners. Seriously would love to elaborate but i'm past all this and realise it is what it is even with waste man footballers here who all got no pride in their heritage and loving snow bunnies and got jungle fever. Rashford grand son will be Ross Barkley playing for England. PEACE
Very insightful conversation. Pounds is working towards that BAFTA award with those great questions. Doug, stop watching Man's ankles. Big Up the best UK podcast, always winning!!
Noel i have to give it to you, the way you explained and basically handled the adam ting. Wow. Professionalism and even tho you never mentioned him, but God!
Listen whatever Noel put out I'm watching he is a talented writer/ actor end of!! This black balling thing happens too often for it not to be true.. big up Noel everytime!❤
This was straight to the point. No pussyfooting around the question. Asked man Straight up. Big up Noel too When you talk straight with zero filter people get uncomfortable because they ain’t used to you. Ain’t too many people out there that’ll tell you the truth. He is a very confident man. Im happy he chose to fight back. Big interview. 👊🏾
Absolutely heartbreaking to hear what you’ve gone through, I never believed any of the accusations, timing was all suss , you are an amazing person and hope to see you back on tv soon!
So basically the industry blackballed Noel coz he was getting to popular. This ain’t new. It’s messed up, and I really do hope Noel will get work , I’m sure whatever he is writing now is crazy good 🙌🏾🙏🏽
@@d.u.m.collection It wasn't because he was naive. It seems to those of us that are paying attention that Noel Clarke treated a lot of people very badly. He was unfriendly, rude and unkind to a lot of people. I don't think he committed any offences, and he probably doesn't deserve what happened, but clearly he made a lot of enemies and people wanted to bring him down.
@@d.u.m.collection You're naive if you think the people who have the ability to blackball, blackballed him cos "he was getting popular". Why would the people who benefit from the actors popularity drop them over being popular. Doesn't make much sense. Maybe he was dropped cos 20 indapendant allegations was the tip of the ice berg. 1 allegation is meh, 5 is red flag, 10 is serious, 20 is a kinda too obvious to deny. Would you employ/fire someone to your business if 20 indapendant people made these allegations against them? No business has to associate with anyone who is bringing them bad press and ruining their reputation, contractually. If you punch me one day in a park with no CCTV. Then theres clearly no evidence for police to investigate. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna call up your boss and tell them. Regardless if you're an actor or work in McDonalds, you can get fired for bad reputation. One allegation is not enough but If it happens 20 times then I think the boss at McDonald's will fire the worker. U have to be naive to flatout believe him, use some logic in your judgment
@@kahyui2486 has he been arrested for these alleged allegations??? Until he is found guilty for all these allegations I have no reason not to believe what he says in this interview . If that naive of me then so be it 🤟🏽
Still not 100% convinced with my man and yes I was a big fan prior to the allegations. Wished Pounds asked him about Ashley Walters disassociating himself from Noel. No smoke without fire.
Hats off fellas; the all round content is on point. I’m glad I heard Noel’s side, my view on the situation has changed. There’s always two sides to every story! 🙌🏼
I met Noel Clarke once in central London when I was with an ex. The two minutes I spent in his company makes me believe he’s guilty of everything he’s accused of.
@@KINGDMANN this is just my opinion, but the energy he carried when I met him was disturbing, the level of arrogance he showed was unreal and I walked away thinking that guy is an absolute c*nt of the highest order.
I had a conversation with a guy that said he was tired of all these shows that are about selling Cocaine. Noel Clarke was our PRIME example of a black British actor breaking grounds and taking part in all genres of british TV. His Kidulthood series was immense, he went on to create his own version of Bad Boys that did numbers, and he had been on Doctor Who. Before Idris Elba, before John Boyega, he was THAT GUY!! If Mel Gibson can come back, then so can Noel Clarke. I wish him the best for his future!
Big up pounds for conducting such a brilliant interview one of the best interviews iv seen I’m time. Adam deacon though wtf and Noel I prey your come back is as big as your set back. Winners podcast stays winning 🎉
If one person states pounds is a good interviewer shouldn’t everyone who agrees like the comment instead of typing it out again? Glad Noel spoke up and on this platform. Comes across very genuine
Can’t lie I wish he would have talk up the tings earlier but still love this interview with integrity Pounds, Doug and the team done the culture justice with this one!
I know some chicks in the industry who are like family to me. They were talking about this guy YEARS ago. Adam put in a lot of creative content and didn’t get the recognition he deserved
Sometimes the said people you look after and feed, are the said ones who come for you. First time listening to this Pod - liked the direct questions and calm temperament. Praying for healing all round.
I am inclined to believe his take on Adam Deacon. He harps on about it for 20 minutes solid. The sexual allegations, where he gives one word denials and tries, successfully, to deflect... Not so much. He has been allowed to control the narrative throughout this one. Hopeful James English can do a better job holding him to account in his podcast.
1:31:40 personally iv asked and looked up Noel Clarke acouple times in the last couple years to see where he is now and what his doing? waiting for some new projects, keep grinding through bro the cream always raises to the top!
@@rb2k10 I was under that impression but after listening and understanding him … this is definitely not a prince andrew moment … take a minute to watch the video
@@Adonis300 i have watched the video bro... prince andrew moment is a slight comic exaggeration but i personally find it a bad look for him because to me it is a combination of half-hearted denials, egotistical mantras and disrespectful justification in varying degrees. for me, he's done the things he's accused of and it's a bit booky watching him weaselling and squirming around
@@Adonis300 and? i've been watching it for the last hour. i can see exactly what it's about.... an hour of a slimy bredda pretending he never did it and justifying his behaviour he can say it's not true all he likes, he still bushed his own career
Can't lie I spotted the dry feet early lol. But what I wanted to say though was its deep. We as brothers continue to travel on a journey of self-development. NC will be okay at the end of the day. The tear down has been strong but the get back will be even stronger.
If you read between the lines the ain’t for everyone to understand • it’s deeper than the surface level • only some will know what really went on • keep strong Noel • any strong black man in these industries that don’t conform they get set up n scorned • Madness!
I’m of the opinion that he doesn’t say anything with conviction, he’s not angry at the accusers or the industry or the media nor does he try to offer any advice to people who might find themselves in a similar situation. Hes not trying to expose the dangers of false accusations. He’s basically saying it’s just banter. I think he’s been treated with kiddy gloves here, you need to hold their feet to the fire and let them know this kind of thing is not acceptable
