The interviewer is just amazing. He even mentioned the 2009 Buenos Aires gig (one of Oasis best ones indeed). You can see he is both highly competent and a huge fan
@@robwood8270 Well yes, especially vocally-wise, but this can’t let us lose sight of the great concerts that came after the 90s (Wembley 2000, Barrowland 2001, Manchester 2005, Wembley 2008 and Baires 2009 for instance). Moreover, I believe that they reached an amazing sound, their best one for me, from 2005 on. Just my opinion
@@matteodevito5470 I followed the band since I was 15 I'm now gonna be 43 in August . I'm fanatical fan lol. I'm just saying lol. I would love them reform old line up but it will never happen. Can you imagine if they did though like Guigs and Tony Mac and Bonehead lool. Be great.

Word... I saw a lot of interviewers in this time he's promoting this compilation asking him the same old Oasis questions that has nothing to do with his new music...
I met Bruce Springsteen once.. now, I’ve met a few big celebrities but he was hands down the nicest, coolest I’ve personally met..he helped me up the stairs, gave me a little hug, he gave my mother a kiss on the cheek..he was very nice.
The worst interviews is where the interviewer is in awe of the subject or is trying to outsmart them. Here he just speaks like a fella trying to interact with another fella.
One day, somewhere, Liam will start singing a song and Noel will stroll onto the stage strumming his guitar and the entire place will erupt, And I can’t wait for it
Can tell Noel liked this guy...gave the best most honest interview I think I've ever seen him give...even called Liam...Liam lol.When Noel's like this it's a joy to watch...can't believe his honesty over the break up comment haha.
I've watched about 200 (no joke) NG interviews on here over the years because I just love hearing him rant and chat. This one, he opens up. Absolutely blinding interview skills Matt.
@@50milliondownthedraintonym16 Yes there are lots of Oasis demos and ahit out there, but not everything. The punk version of Elanor Rigby for example that Noel hints at here isn't out there.
This was so enjoyable. Huge credit to the interviewer, he was effortless throughout and had brilliantly relaxed ways of getting answers without being too fan-boyish. Really, really good.
That's as human as I've seen Noel in quite a few years, lovely. Almost a tint of nostalgia in him in this. Nice to hear him call him by his name rather than "The Singer." Kudos to that interviewer
Noel is glorious to listen to. Irreverent, honest, and authentic from the beginning. He's always interesting. It's great to see him enjoy writing as much as he has been over the past decade. It's also warming to see him refer so glowingly about Liam (including using his name again).
You can tell this interviewer is not only a fan who knows his stuff but he knows the right questions to get the best responses out of Noel. Probably one of the best Noel interviews I've ever seen.
Great interview! If only all interviewer were like this. Good to hear Noel’s feelings about being solo and how honest he is about it. Talking fondly about Liam as well. Shows when he’s not pressured into talking about him he speaks fondly but when there all like ‘why dyer fight’ ‘you gonna be friends again’ blah blah he will talk openly about him. Must miss his nutty little brother
What a great interview. I’m parroting everyone else, but the dude is asking some great questions. Avoiding all the cliches and actually getting Noel to give us a window into how he views himself and his music that isn’t t just his usual bravado. Noel always gives an awesome interview regardless, but it’s awesome to see him open up a bit. Great work.
By far and away the best interview with Noel I have ever heard. The interviewer is class. Not only does he know his stuff but he also lets Noel speak. Noel is proper into it. This could have gone on forever for me!!!! need a part two
If a Knebworth Documentary is enough to make Noel nostalgic even a little to consider opening up communication with him and Liam, that'll do me just great.

what an interview we got here! It was great listening to NG speaking in such a relax and open mood. The interviewer is such a fan! Great questions. He really seems to be into Oasis and NG solo stuff.
First of all great studio and secondly the interviewer asked some great questions (and some great observations as well) which I can see Noel Gallagher was delighted to hear he avoided asking questions about Oasis possibly getting back together "big no no" and about his relationship with his brother which was refreshing..........
Noel talking openly about Liam and actually saying his name in an interview without taking the P*** .... imagine the riots around the world if they agreed to do some gigs ... 🤯
@@MedalionDS9 If the would good brothers, sometimes they would make music together. Oasis is them, so if they will stand on the stage together again, that considered in my eyes as a ruinion. :D
@@PeterPauls Oasis is a band... separate from being brothers. They don't have to reunite under the Oasis name... they can just as easily collaborate as Noel and Liam Gallagher.
Great interview. The Liam and Noel falling out is beyond worn out but you can see when he tells of the story about the brothers that he was moved by what he heard!! The emotional wheels were spinning which in Noel’s case is hard to activate!!! He’s the best there is!! The Chief!!!!!
How many hours have I spent listening to Noel Gallagher interviews? It's gotta be a crazy amount by now... Still never get bored listening to him. I would DEFINITELY buy his book (if he wrote it).
Great interview, well done! You were able to keep the interview on track, and that would have been challenging as Noel has so many stories to tell and is so charismatic.
I get the Bee Gees reference of the cover. On the Definitely Maybe DVD, Mark Coyle speaks about being on tour with the Inspiral Carpets and Noel picking up tapes in bargain bins for 50c. The "Yellow" Bee Gees album they got that way was a major influence on them.
Great interview wish it was longer. The story about the 2 brothers at Knebworth gave me hope to think Noel may reach out to his brother for their mum’s sake.
From the point Standing on the Shoulder of Giants was released I waited patiently for noel to go solo... The oasis journey (bar a few good tracks) was done by then.. Since the 1st nghfb release he's never disappointed...
My first contact with Oasis was around the time of the MTV Unplugged. I actually spent all these years waiting for the band to have Noel on vocals only.
@@dcassus don't get me wrong loved the 1st two albums and liked be here now but yea post Knebworth it was a decline.. I always had the feeling standing on the Shoulder of Giants could have made a good first solo album for noel..
