Liam always said oasis were about being uplifting But I think there is a deep sadness behind all the songs , and that clearly comes out when Noel sings them
if you really look deeply in to all of the lyrics there can be only one conclusion, life is about looking for some action, but instead only finding cigarettes and alcohol
this version of Supersonic confirms that Oasis is a great double band with two genius brothers...Liam is a great uplifting rebel...and Noel is such a romantic melancholic person...and this was great about Oasis...
i don't care what people say, Noel Gallagher is the greatest ever..... his music is pure poetry, even he doesn't know what it means half the time, can poetry get more pure than that?
I am more of a Liam fan, but when I'm sad and I need to be alone, I go to Noel. He's just extraordinary, and I actually like this version better, I have never really liked Supersonic before hearing that.
I remember, only a couple months ago, I came home from a party in which i'd talked to a beautiful girl from my school, one who i'd always been too afraid to talk to at school. we chatted and laughed and she told me she had a crush on me. haha, she was drunk at the time, but she kept insisting that she was being 100% honest and wouldn't have the courage to tell me being sober. we talked and hugged and it got a little closer between us... we even kissed. I went home feeling so , so happy. the next evening , I listened to this song. I played it out loud my speaker in my room, and had an emosional outburst. I felt so , so uncontrollably happy and alive. The music made me cry with joy, yet a peculiar sadness at the same time. but in a day or two, I messaged her. she said she'd got back on track with a previous ex, and was very sorry for what happened. I couldn't believe it. I felt distraught. and here I am typing this a couple months later... all I can say is thank you Noel Gallagher. thank you for giving me one of the happiest moments in my life for a long, long time. This acoustic performance will always have a special place in my heart.
Nice story... Thanks for the share, I was in similar case when discovering Oasis last year, I feel it capture so well this sadness and in the same time the positive energy Noel talked about, which is to keep on going... Somehow, it just mean you can forgive yourself about the disappointments. And you can stay true to yourself
Noel's voice just adds so much more emotion to the songs, perfectly fit with the acoustic versions of them. But love both of brothers, life is short( They have to play together again, that would light up so many souls during this madness
Oh my god . When I'm going through hard times I listen to his acoustic performances. First time hearing this one. It's like the other side of the story
I can't help but feel his passion in this excellent acoustic version of an already amazing song! Just amazing what Noel is capable of doing, I am in awe
The chords to this one are very simple actually, basically the same as Wonderwall, the intro and verses are Em7, G, and Asus4(when you play these chords, hold the 3rd fret of the high E and B strings, like in Wonderwall). In the bridge, it's once D chord and Em7, then on the second time, you play the D chord and B7(the Shakermaker chord). During the chorus it's either Cadd9, G, Asus4 and Em7. or normal C, G, D, and Em7, and when you go back to verses you just play D and B7.
Such a sad thing that we do not have song writers like him anymore and it does not really matter if they are american, British or German, we just need good song writers and bands. Music is currently on a search.
Splendid! I've not heard this version before - shockingly. It ought never to work; yet Noel's intelligent, pitch perfect interpretation vacillates so cogently from the original that he throws the whole thing up in the air; re-arranging it so skillfully that he alters the mood entirely, evoking a pervasively haunting, melancholic feeling.(In me anyway; others will disagree, as of course is their right.). He does it so well that the seemingly impossible happens, wherby Noel's skill extends to successfully injecting a complex degree of ambiguity. Quite remarkable given the lyrics never deviate from the first recording. I love the original but I love this as well: Sublime! Kindest regards and much love to all, Txx 🎵🎸.
Yeah this is phenomenal - there's always been a lot of loneliness in that chorus though: "He lives under a waterfall, nobody can ever hear him call." - when I was a kid and felt invisible hearing that felt like being seen
@@anarchysrainbow926 Yes; I'd not thought about it that way; I ought to have. I think I was caught up with the pace and rock and roll vibes in the original....(As well as the gin and tonic, the doctor, the helicopter and the tissue..ha.) Now that you mention it though; selling the "Big Issue", obviously a magazine sold by those whom are homeless, is also in keeping with the loneliness that you observed so astutely. Peace and love to you and to all. 💙👌.
Unique you said? I couldn't have chosen a more appropriate word for him! Of-course I like his vocal presence in any of the Oasis songs. That's what makes them so special. But you'd probably agree that sometimes a little different approach to the classics sounds intriguing and compelling to the fans. Won't you agree? cedricmaniake
+Subhajit Das I disagree. I think Noel's voice is more "cute" sometimes, but less powerful than Liam's. In my opinion, without Liam's vocals, Oasis (Noel) would've never been so big.
Well I think Liam has a different way with sounds and intonations, but when you do consider the way a song should be made emotional in its roots, it suits Noel better. However I would like to support you though. Oasis deserved Liam. His vocals gave it the power and determination it needed to deliver those simple chord progressions as something so gigantic in its appearance. Being a huge fan of Oasis myself, I wouldn't dare change that basic requirement.
Liam and Noel were like the Yin and Yang of the band Oasis (1994-2008). They both made their journey for themselves and a 'Biblical' one for the world. That will remain forever, eternally.
Its just a chord change, I cover this exact version myself. Calm down dude, it's nothing that fantastic... Just silently enjoy it otherwise someone like me will come along and tell you you're an idiot.
I think I might love Noel after listening to this melodious version of supersonic. Lol. U DONT HAVE TO LOVE ME BACK as I know you are happily married. ( unless the wife says ok.)
Can you imagine if you actually coaxed noel to come to your house with your friends, smoke some pot, and listen to him just do acoustic anything oasis....what a legend...
You make me laugh Give me your autograph Can I ride with you in your BMW? You can sail with me in my yellow submarine [Pre-Chorus 1] You need to find out Cause no-one's gonna tell you What I'm on about You need to find a way For what you want to say But before tomorrow [Chorus] Cause my friend said he'd take you home He sits in a corner all alone He lives under a waterfall Nobody can see him Nobody can ever hear him call Nobody can ever hear him call [Verse 3] You need to be yourself You can't be no-one else I know a girl called Elsa She's into Alka-Seltzer She sniffs it through a cane on a supersonic train [Verse 4] And she makes me laugh I got her autograph She done it with a doctor On a helicopter She's sniffing in a tissue Selling the Big Issue [Pre-Chorus 2] When she finds out No-one's gonna tell her what I'm on about You need to find a way For what you want to say But before tomorrow
