And that's what Oasis did. They were our friends. They were our loves. They were and will forever be here for us. That's a beautiful thing isn't it?

Liam's version gives you the idea about a man who have still got a lot of fight in him and standing strong while Noel's version gives you the idea of a tired man who is on the verge of giving in but still clinching to see the sunrise

I know a lot of people dismiss Oasis as one of the best bands ever, and maybe they're right, I dunno; but when it comes to acoustic music, Noel is one of the best ever.

Noel Gallagher truly has a special gift to be able to blend lyrics, chords and melody with such wonderful craftsmanship. Very few songwriters are able to pull this off with such consistency. Keep in mind that Noel Gallagher was THE SONGWRITER for Oasis and he's the one that controlled the quality of what the band released. The man is an absolute genius, and the world is better because of him.

First time dropped a tear while listening to a particular song. Out of nowhere. Just - Wow. Never had such an emotional outburst before. Magnificent.

What I love about Noel often with his acoustic versions rather than trying to mix in the solo in some way or shorten the passage where the solo is he is comfortable to just play the full passage of just the chords. It's gives the listener a lot of space to contemplate. Very moving song and will forever be a favourite!

Most underrated / under appreciated voice of all time

The magic of Noel is his everyday speaking voice would lead you to believe he has all the singing ability of a manc plumber. But then he does an acoustic version of an Oasis anthem, and his voice is stunning.

My dad of cancer in 2012 during his illness I discovered oasis at 13-14 and been obsessed since after he passed I listened to this on repeat and it saved my life

When I met the girl that became my wife, this song was playing on the radio and it became “our song” for me anyway. Now 20 years later still married to my girl, I hear this and it makes me happy and cry at the same time, I Love this version of the song as well as the original. Just found out this evening I’m going to be a Dad for the first time and had this version of the song on repeat. It always was an incredible song growing up but now it has a completely different meaning and conveys a different message. Noel's singing gives this song a completely different flavour from Liam, it's almost like a different song. This is like listening to raw history. Takes you back to a time when Noel first wrote it while he was still broke and unknown, but had a conviction that he was going to touch a lot of people's lives with his music
