White people don’t always cooperate, the difference is they don’t face the same danger. Because the cops are FAIR to begin with. They aren’t looking for reasons to target a white person. Yeah, I don’t get the dismissal of cooperate. I’ve been pulled over like maybe 4-5 times. Not a lot but enough. Treated it like nothing. Was never asked to step out. Only given attitude because it was 12am once and I was speeding. But other than that. Nothing bad has ever happened Update: I literally got pulled over yesterday. Was in the HOV lane (I was driving by myself) and speeding. State patrol pulled me over. Had everything ready when he walked up. License, registration, and insurance. Have a concealed carry permit. He asked if I had it on me. Told him not at this tie. Told me what I did. I explained I had just got off work and “forgive my language” have to take a shit. I acknowledge what I did and said it’s on me. He came back, gave me an infraction ($391) usual fine for HOV without passengers is ($500). Said drive safe and slow down. Gave me no attitude and made the stop pretty quick. I gave him no attitude. But cops are racist tho.

What's wild, is it's not a victim mentality. As a black dude, I would get pulled over and stopped by police for simply looking at them driving by. It's not a victim mentality it's a real thing. When I started carrying around a GSD service dog. The police started waving at me and not pulling me over. Racial bias is so real its terrifying. One day I couldn't have Mt dog with me because he was injured, I waved at a cop as normal and he pulled me over and asked me why I waved at him. Shit is wild.

I’ve gotten out of some ridiculous speeding tickets simply by just cooperating. AND IM BLACK ASF. Lol. Simply be respectful and whatever frustrations you have simply don’t take it out or direct towards the officer and you’re good. I’ve had traffic stops where I know I should’ve been arrested or at least ticketed and they’ve always let me go. Oh and be sure to screw down all your windows if your cars is tinted before they approach as this helps them loosen up a bit as they can see everything clearly

Straight up the right answer too, I’ve been pulled over many times with no tickets I just answer their questions, hand over my documents, and acknowledge what I did wrong. Best way to react every time because they already got you and your plates in that scenario, anyone saying diff straight up goofy and prob a thief w something to hide. I just got pulled over today, I was mad at something and I didn't notice I was speeding. I didn't have my drivers licence, insurance and I had expired inspection sticker from 2020. He just let me go for some reason and gave me a warning. Maybe it has to do with me not having a record, I was just nice to the guy and he let me go.

Two things can be true, sometimes if you just cooperate you'll be fine regardless of race, but sometimes even if you cooperate you can be fucked just because of your race. My experiences with law enforcement have been fine, but that's just not the case for every person that's not white.

You guys are reading it wrong the black dude is basically meaning just cooperation doesn’t work of course one doesn’t want be aggressive to police officers ( meaning being mouthy not physically aggressive) but honestly who have to bend over backwards everytime I have ever gotten pulled over I act like I’m a servant because the first time I ever got pulled over for some bullshit I asked them questions and I almost got arrested like for real since then I don’t ask questions and if I felt like I didn’t deserve something I took it the legal way.

I got pulled over for speeding on a bridge (double fine) when the cop was getting out his car i rolled my window up and decided to trust my fart, when he got to my window and i rolled it down as soon as he caught a whiff i told him i was sorry for speeding but i really needed to SH**. He told me to slow down and let me go. 10/10 would recommend this strategy!

Y’all all sound dumb in these comments he ain’t do that to say don’t cooperate. There have been numerous times when people have cooperated and still dealt with bullshit white and black. There have also been numerous times when cops try to get over on individuals who are cooperative and charge with something that completely wrong. Perfect example is that college athletes who was recently pulled over and was fully cooperative and the cops tried to charge him with driving drunk even though he blew a zero.
