I'm sorry, my English is not good I'm a 47 year old Japanese who grew up listening to you guys when I was a teenager. Now that I'm an adult, I understand that it's hard to continue doing something for 40 years. Even now, when I listen to this song, it reminds me of those days when I had only small worries. Thank you NOFX I'm sick and can't go to the live, but I'll support you until the last moment
Hi Kaku Han, I feel the same...first time I saw NOFX was in 1992 in Germany....maybe I've seen them maybe 20 times or more- good memorys....lots of greetings from Essen/Germany
"Fat MIke" is a mess of a human being, but he makes music that inspires people to do whatever they are born to do. Don't think so much about what you are, but what you can do.
I've got a spinal cord injury I've been healing from for a couple years now and this video gave me goosebumps that I haven't had in a while. Thanks guys you give me hope I won't be broken forever.
i first heard these guys when i was about 16 years old in high school. As I write this I am almost 38 n0w!!! time really does fly and the 90s were the best!!!
It's awesome that now matter how far off the mark the rest of the band is, it is always up to Smelly to keep it all together. That is what makes Smelly such an awesome drummer. He never misses a beat.
Fuck yeah, he's one of the greatest drummers around. In the punk scene at least. I love him cause he's a genuinely good dude, I fully recommend listening to their autobiography book cause it really shows their human side and how much shit they endured through the years.
Haha. I'm 45 now, grew up in LA listening to this CD in the 90s and I sang along remembering every lyric..but can't remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday 😂
This song brings back skating in 1998 before Nike and all the other came in the mix. A skateboarding puck rock kid in Texas in the last 90's NOFX were inspirational to let you know there were others there. Thank you guys!!
@@jaredhamblet6456 Nike’s 1st production skate shoe was in 1997, they didn’t launch the SB brand until 2002 Even before then skaters recognized that Basketball Shoes work really well on grip so before the over abundance of skate branded shoe products people skated in Nike shoes same as Chucks if they couldn’t get a hold of Vans
I am sick with a head disease and i have chronic pain and im old now, but I still come.back and watch this because it makes me happy and reminds me of the old days
Me too! My first Nofx show ever is gonna be the last show of the tour (atleast the dates posted so far) in st.Pete Florida. I’m already crying over the idea of them saying good bye :(
Their last time in Edmonton, we already knew it was pretty much a goodbye tour for Canada. I would love to travel to see a farewell show, but it's not really in my price range. Let's hope they get old and broke enough to have to do a reunion tour someday in the future. Enjoy your shows if you haven't gone to them already!
Assalamu'alaikum From Indonesia Possessions never meant anything to me I'm not crazy Well that's not true, I've got a bed And a guitar And a dog named Bob who pisses on my floor That's right, I've got a floor So what? So what? So what? I've got pockets full of Kleenex and lint and holes Where everything important to me Just seems to fall right down my leg And onto the floor My closest friend linoleum Linoleum Supports my head Gives me something to believe That's me on the beachside, combing the sand Metal meter in my hand Sporting a pocket full of change That's me in the street with a violin under my chin Playing with a grin Singing gibberish That's me on the back of the bus That's me in the cell That's me inside your head That's me inside your head That's me inside your head
Around this time period, I saw NOFX at the Warped Tour in Minneapolis. A friend and I also bought tickets to the Dickies concert that same night at the Triple Rock. Shortly after we arrived at the bar, Fat Mike showed up, as he is a huge Dickies fan. We bought him some beers and ended up at his table all night, moshing and hitting the green room. Fucking amazing. Even gave the guy a ride to his hotel afterwards. Definitely a day to remember!
Holy hell - I can’t believe they were using a wireless system back in 98. Most people still don’t use it cause they don’t think the technology is far enough along yet. But back in 98? For a punk band like NOFX? Very very surprising.
Nofx has been my favorite band since late 80s So much they gave us through their sound of music n a depth look on their unique lyrics Nofx may not tour anymore but they live as a Legacy that only us True punks will always hold dear to our hearts
Remember seeing you guys at the Henderson elk lodge in 89 or 90 about 50 people at that show. Henderson NV!! Fuc..n wicked. Followed ever since!! Great memories 👍
One thing I love about NOFX is that you can gauge how into it the crowd are based off how hard the guys go. Based on this performance and what we can see from the crowd, everyone had a fuckin good time!
We remember the thoughts inside our head. We remember learning to play the violin in elementary school, but than when we played the violin in high school we did not remember. We also remember we used to want to buy a metal detector, but than we were told the money in our bank account did not belong to us, so we stopped saving.
It's sad there is like 50 feet between the crowd and the stage. NOFX, especially playing this song, should have a stage dive every other second throughout the entire song!
I love how they slightly change up the lyrics i remember they did a concert in Philly with the bouncing souls and it was jonny quest pissing on my floor
To me, this song is about dying, about collapsing onto the linoleum floor as visions of life flash across one's inner screen, and learning to let go of the ego as one passes on into oblivion.
