Holy cow. I'm the kid at the beginning saying "hey man, it's gonna be a metal fest" Crazy. Not too crazy considering they had very metally guitares at the time. Damn I was 14
i was there, good show, Best part was it was at the Axiom. A great club, all ages and people new how to act, We could get on stage and not piss anyone off. great time to be alive
Holy fuck shit balls thank you for this. 1st time I saw nofx was after they released Ribbed (World Beat Center in San Diego) and is still one of the best nights of my life. This reminds me of then.
my first nofx show was circa 1994, also at world beat center. I vividly remember Johnny Appleseed and 3 skinheads in the front right, against the stage, punching everyone that went by in the pit. Offspring opened, 3 fights broke out immediately, one on each level. Friggin' epic!
Great memories of being a young, shitty, awesome kid. Kinda wish I could go back, kinda not. Either way I'm glad punk helped shape me into a decent human being surprisingly.
I have never been more excited!! This is the greatest shit, ever. Love the lighting. Gives that, "I'm there" type feeling. Too bad you can't see the crowd better though. Wish I could've been there. Thanks for uploading!
I got that same vibe... Seeing that it was 1991 took me back to that time in school when kids like me wore converse sneakers. Funny how this video took me back to that time.
Very cool, thanks for posting! I wish I was there, I was 10 years old at the time, lol. Got my ticket to see them in NYC April 29th. I always make sure to catch 'em when they're in town, wouldn't miss it for the world.
Nvm i found it, its off of Ribbed, Together in the Sand, but its sung by who i can only assume is the old guy before Hefe. Once Hefe came into the scene, NOFX was complete.
theres a vid from 89 where mike sings a song with just a microphone and then jumps in the mosh pit still singing..it looks like a fuckin rad show..was89 in europe somewhere i think..
Thats NoFx how i love it. I dont wanna hate em but this rocks me and i was a long time fan. but the new Albums ? i dont know them. decline was fine and my last. now they changed their sound and wanna sound older and more dirtier than they did in the past. makes no sense to me. That performance on the vid is great. I came here from a sublime video
I remember that Hole played the same evening at Emo's. I went to see them instead of NOFX and I got so much crap for it from friends. That said, this was before the Kurt and Courtney relationship and I recall C.Love being utterly blitzed, making fun of SubPop bands such as Tad and Nirvana. "Heeeeeyyyyy,......We're Taaaaaad"........"We're Niiiirvana."
Hot dang, Hefe talks about this moment in the audiobook! For those who haven't checked out the Hepatitis Bathtub book: Hefe was not a punk, he didn't come up in this scene and this show was a strange new experience for him.
this is why theres no pics from 91 on the official site..He had long hair in 95 when he came to Australia too.. it was just before he turned it into dreads, dont think theres any pics from time pre-dreads..
