Noir Alley: The Prowler (1951) intro by Eddie Muller shown on May 14, 2017 From TCM's Noir Alley (Saturdays at Midnight ET and Sunday 10am ET) hosted by the Czar of Noir, Eddie Muller.
This is a well conceived film noir or any genre video - "darkly' impressive, set, substantial review, good narration, presentable film clips and well dressed host - who can be better if his hand movements are properly managed and not distracting to viewers. Thank you
So sick of gaslighters in real life. I never clued into the baby angle eddie mentions, despite 3-4 viewings thus far. She obviously is happy to be pregnant, but I'd like more evidence than the song to think she was unconsciously or consciously involved in the plot. So I'll watch it again. I think Eddie should have ranked it higher than 25 on his list. Eddie also helped throw me off by stating that the pregnancy angle can make the film seem dated. I watched it fairly late for that reason. It doesn't seem dated at all given that the pregnancy puts them in the crosshairs of at least a perjury rap, if not a murder plot. The pregnancy would be evidence that they knew each other much earlier than stated today, as well.
