About damn time! I'm sick of these drivers/riders with their loud ass exhausts going down Ala Wai Blvd late at night.

Just returned from Waikiki. Really noisy there and the streets downtown are just one big pothole.

But that is part of Wailiki's charm

While you're at it, can we also divert commercial airliners to fly at a reasonable distance away from the Kakaako-Ala Moana? This happens whenever the wind directions are blowing from the south (Kona Winds). Those airliners are awfully close to high rises in the area whenever they're approaching for landing at the HNL airport!

Just wait until that guy's kid goes to sleep and keeps getting woken up by loud noises. Nothing like having problems affect you personally for you to care.

I left the concrete jungle of Oahu after 20 yrs. Paradise is swimming in my pool on 3 acres in Alabama. No more screaming sirens of Honolulu.

Gasoline powered mopeds and motorcycles are the worst. Electric vehicles are very quiet.

It's called a city. A couple of years ago they complained about the Garbage Trucks early in the morning. Newsflash go back to the mainland. IT IS A CITY.

We have homeless and real crime and there solution is to take more money!!! Why is it that every law has a fine? Why not take them to jail. That would make them stop completely.

The noise has been around waikiki forever. If you buy a home or condo there, then you alreadt know what it comes with. NOISE! And the concrete isn't new either. It has always been concrete towers. Simple solution. . . Move to the country if you dont like it. Stop crying! Waikiki has always been noisy.

What determines a loud exhaust system (not the muffler alone. Loud muffler is an oxymoron...so is a smart politician)? Will law enforcement officers be equipped with calibrated decibel meters as evidence to present in court or a self calibrated "human ear?" The Ford Raptor OEM exhaust sports setting is Federally compliant concerning decibel levels and still owners are cited for loud faulty exhaust [not just the muffler]. So Hawai'i, how say you? If i am ticketed I'd fight this in court all day until evidence is presented my exhaust system actually violated the law with excessive decibels. Not just a professional opinion because most law enforcement officers are not ASE automobile mechanics concerning exhaust systems. "See you in court officer," would be my polite reply as i sign the citation.
