This video of Nokie was shot in 1992 or 93. Can't really remember cause it was a long time ago. Parkers Ballroom was the place and the show was Seattle's first Vintage guitar show. Nokie played a 45 minute set at my friend "Dr. Bob's" booth. Notice the larger number of super rare Mosrite guitars. My former guitar was on display. A 1963 Ventures model, serial number #16!! Never should have sold it! Noke is playing a 63 Ventures that belonged to Bob, and as always his guitar mastery was on display.

I wish people would shut up. A legend is playing! I get it is at a guitar show but you would think guitarist of all people would want to hear him play.

Thanks...I am so glad someone else recognizes the high quality this guitar really has.......I am about to hit 80 mark, and had three Chet Gretchs, two super 400s, and many Fenders. I feel more comfortable with this baby...as long as I a sitting down... it is fairly heavy. I just love that little girl from Oregon. She is about 15 and picks more Chet A. than I could ever imagine!! I'd go see her but it's quite a walk from Maryland...

Thank you for uploading this!! Quite a pleasant surprise to hear him play "Walk Right In"! I don't think The Ventures ever played that one live.

Used to own a Mosrite. Black with serial number 33. Was the best looking guitar ever made but played terrible. Nokie used to live pretty close to my when I lived in Oregon. Nice guy.

Nokie used a 63 Mosrite on some of the tracks on the "Let's Go" album - maybe that is why he is playing this tune. I like the Jerry Reed part he puts in as well!

Thanks.. I had a Mosrite back in the 60s, but mine was blond and called the Joe Maphis model. Today I have the Deke D. model which sounds a lot better.

I have a Deke Model Hallmark as well. Best guitar I've ever owned, and includes my 68 Gold Top reissue and even my 63 Ventures with the flip up Vibramute. Check all of my videos and you will see a clip of me playing the Deke at a Jazz jam a couple of years ago. I had to keep the volume real low so the vibe is not really me. Thanks for the comment!
